Lefties and Islamofascists On Parade

You’ve all heard by now of the airman shot by an unhinged anti-war gunman, who then turned the gun on himself.

Ace wrote about the media cover up for this sorry excuse for a man’s actions, here, and it didn’t take long for a troll to make the mock of it:

Life is just turning so unfair for the right.
I think prayer may be the answer.

Which of course, inspired some colorfully worded responses from the morons.

It never ceases to amaze me how low, these leftists can go, and how in tune they are (not seem to be…ARE) with the goals of the terrorists.

All this talk about pulling out of Iraq before the surge has had time to have it’s full impact, plays right into Al Qaida’s hands.

Look at this, from Gateway Pundit, and if you’re not enraged, well, you either don’t have a pulse, or your a liberal, (like Meathead in the comments section who can only work up some angst over the fact that “Gateway Jimmy” posted the pictures).

Do you get the feeling that they believe victory is near?

Don’t you moronic leftists get it? Victory is theirs if we leave. Why would you want that? Is the BDS really that strong? Despite what Harry Reid says, the Iraqi people don’t want that. ( Gateway Pundit, again). They’re begging for us to stay. Reid, apparently is speaking for the Iraqi terrorists, who are begging for a “timetable”.

The whole damn thing just makes me sick to my stomach, especially because a few Republicans are now caving in.

Anyway, the whole point of this post was to give you the address below, which helpful, AOSHQ commenter Kensington found:

Readers wishing to send Airman Schieken a get-well card and thank him for his service to our country can reach him at:

Jonathan Schrieken
Room 720 by the door

UPDATE:

Ace has a good point about the Republicans who are jumping ship on the war effort:

These people — Dole, Alexander, Snowe, Collins, even cry-like-a-bitch Voinovich — have proven susceptible to constituent outrage friendly persuasion before.

Why not again?

Just because these people bowed to our demands the last time around is not enough to give them a free pass to undermine the war in Iraq. I think it’s time for the blogosphere and talk radio full court press again.

Here’s the list of U.S. Senate contact numbers.

    What a shock.

The irony is that feminists, gays and atheists are so eager to team with those who would kill them

I know when you’re in the military, you expect somewhat to be shot at by the enemy. All that lunatic shooter proved was ‘We have met the enemy and he is us”.
I’m not shocked, just more sad than words allow.

We’ve been the silent majority way too long. I think part of the unhingedness (I just made up that word) of the left is that now we have forums to fight back (internet, and especially blogs)

We need to be a bit more vocal about our support for veterans and for our foreign campaigns.

It annoys me to no end when people associate our soldiers with the Administration’s policies. As anyone who knows anything about the military would know, soldiers, at whatever level, have little say in their military’s policies and operating doctrine. Consider, for example, the considerable opposition to Rummy’s policies, which the military nevertheless had to obey. To target our soldiers in any way is simply unacceptable; while violence against them is abominable, verbally accosting them, and other forms of harassment, are likewise reprehensible.

I have become quite sensitive to how veterans are treated. I once asked a Vietnam veteran why so many never speak of their veteran status, and he told me it was because of how they were treated when they returned. I was shocked and upset.

As far as support for our efforts in Iraq is concerned: the fact of the matter is that we are already there, so the issue of whether our invasion was right, correct, moral, acceptable, advisable, et cetera, is now moot. We, likewise, do not have the choice of considering withdrawal. All we can do — those who support our efforts in Iraq and those who do not — is find the way to finish the job right. Period. Any other discussion is empty of value. As far as I am concerned, unilateral complete withdrawal — in stages or otherwise — is not an option. Technically, it is, as is nuking Iraq, but both are equally off the table.

Why do we allow people to do this?

Because they, unfortunately, have the right to do it.

Which is ironic, if you think about it: the people they are protesting are the very people who make secure their right to protest. Were it not for The United States’ armed services, we would of necessity be under quite restrictive rules.

Like how Ashcroft said something along the lines of when someone accuses him (or the Administration) of being fascist, he is content because such a public accusation is proof that neither he nor the Administration is fascist.
