Maverick Makes Mistake

Definition of maverick (noun)
person who does not conform to the norm; independent thinker.

John McCain has certainly earned his “Maverick” stripes, with this latest.

In allowing notorious open-borders advocate, Juan Hernandez to join his campaign, he has not only set himself apart from all of the Republican candidates for President. He’s set himself apart from the Democrats, as well.

Ace quips:

He (Hernandez) would be a much more natural fit for a liberal Democrat — but they wouldn’t touch him.

McCain, however, has gladly made him part of his staff.

Now that’s an “independent thinker”.

Add the damaging NYT’s endorsement, and Mitt’s recent gain of former Fred! supporters to this latest, and I daresay…even with Rambo, and Wilford Brimley behind him…he’s toast.

UPDATE:

More interesting stuff about McCain, Juan Hernandez, and the brewing scandal over The Reform Group at Aces.

Nail In The Coffin:

Bill Clinton says Hillary and McCain are “very close”.
