You’ve got to hand it to her. She knows how to get attention, and get her message across, better than just about anyone.
Most voters aren’t going to take the time to read stuff like this and this and this.
But they will remember this interview.
She knows that a lot of primary voters are holding their noses and voting for McCain because polling data is showing that he is the only one who can beat Hillary.
She’s saying…”Screw that. If it has to be between McCain and Hillary…I vote for Hillary. She’s the more conservative of the two”.
And no matter what one thinks of Ann Coulter, that is enough to give even the moderates pause.
This may just mark the turning point for the “Straight Talk Express”.
UPDATE (Feb 1):
Ann says she’s serious.
Hot Air has the video from A. C.’s appearance today on The Neil Caputo Show.
At any rate, the latest polls are showing a widening gap between Mitt and McCain.
UPDATE (Feb 2):

That interview just offset every single endorsement that McCain has bought over the past 6 weeks.

I’ll tell you what…the talkers: Rush, Hannity, Levin,Rusty Humphries….all of them except (Mr. Independent) O’Reilly are in hyper overdrive against McCain.
So are the conservative bloggers, and most conservative columnists.
I hope it’s starting to sink into people’s psyche’s…
I know why Coulter did that…the perception is out there that McCain is the only one who can beat Hillary.
Well, she’s saying….”Who wants him to beat Hillary? If it has to be between him and Hillary, I vote for Hillary”.

I don’t know if Ann’s yanking our chain or not- but she sure brings conservative’s criticisms of McCain to a fine point-
I’ll vote for the GOP nominee. The alternative is unthinkable.

I think her specialty is getting people’s attention.
I hope it works.

I’m getting a “video is no longer available” message on my end.
February, 1, 2008 at 9:54 am
That’s strange. It’s working on my end.

McCain really bothers me and the fact that so many people are willing to vote for him (if he’s the nominee) simply because he has an R behind his name is incredible.
We survived Carter, we can survive Hillary! One term and out and a new conservative movement begins. But if we give in to McLiar’s crap and try to elect him simply because he’s supposedly “one of us” (he isn’t, by the way) we are no better than those we are fighting against.
Hey, I don’t like our choices now better than anyone else. By McCain is the worst of our two options right now and we have to run somebody. But if McCain gets the nod, while I can’t go so far as to vote for either Obama of the Shrew, I will seriously consider sitting this one out.

>We survived Carter, we can survive Hillary
Why tempt fate?

Better our team wins, flawed as it may be, than the other team wins.

The conservative blogosphere has made itself into a permanent joke by shitting their collective panties over McCain in the most emberrassing ways possible over the past couple of weeks. They’ll never be taken seriously again.
February, 1, 2008 at 2:49 pm
Yeah, how stupid of us to try to maintain a level of integrity and push for what we believe in, as opposed to simply playing to win at all costs and screw that silly “integrity” thing. How ancient.
And how stupid of us to actually look at the record of the man who is asking for our votes and to find him wanting, and then making a decision based on that? We should just shut up and go along with what the media and the left (sorry, I know, redundant) and the establishment wants us to do.
Sit down, shut up and vote for who we tell you to vote for.
Gee, that worked out so well the last time we tried that.
Can you say “Bob Dole?”

We should just shut up and go along
That’s certainly what the conservative blogosphere wants you to do. According to them, if you don’t vote Romney, you’re not a “real” conservative.
The conservative blogosphere is not only stupid, they’re flat out liars. They’ve spent weeks with their lips firmly planted on Romney’s ass declaring him to be the one true hope for “real” conservatives, while deriding McCain as a liberal. About thirty seconds of googling will show just what complete bullshit that is. Romney is, at best, as liberal as McCain. At worst, in some areas like abortion, he’s much more liberal than McCain. When Romney’s record is looked at, the one thing that becomes clear is that he talks like a conservative and votes like a liberal. The conservative blogosphere has shown that it’s full of shit and that’s going to stick with them.

One term and out and a new conservative movement begins.
Maybe…maybe not.
And 4 [or 8] years is a loooong time with a socialist in the White House. She can do a lot of damage in that amount of time.
And don’t forget, with her increased power, the Clinton machine grows in strength, making it harder for conservatives to come back.
I love Coulter, but she’s wrong to say that McCain is more liberal than she is. But I understand what she’s doing.
She’ll actually go out and campaign for Hillary against McCain the day Rosie stops being fat and ugly.
