Ole Miss Debate Re-Ax

Just a few before I turn in for the night:

Barry from Out West declares “Four Stars”!

Ace says Obama wanted to fight to a draw. He failed.

Ed Morrissey, Hot Air: McCain clearly got the best of Obama tonight.

John Hinderaker at Powerline says it was a draw, at best.

Jim Geraghty thought McCain had a very strong night.

Stanley Kurtz at NRO says McCain takes it.

Roger Simon at The Politico says The Mac is Back.

David Limbaugh says McCain didn’t need to score a knockout. He won decisively enough.

Kathryn Jean Lopez: McCain is the guy who knows the world, and has the battle scars.

Mickey Kaus: Before I get spun, I’d say: small, Pyrrhic victory for McCain. McCain wanted to make Obama seem naive and inexperienced. He did about 40% of that. Obama wanted to make McCain seem dangerously ambitious, bellicose and hotheaded. He did 0% of that.

Mark Hemingway: McCain won…”it was just no contest”.

Ramesh Ponnuru: McCain Won and not, I think, by a small margin, either.

Henry Kissinger: “Senator McCain is right. I would not recommend the next President of the United States engage in talks with Iran at the Presidential level. My views on this issue are entirely compatible with the views of my friend Senator John McCain.”

We’ll see when the new polls come out, what undecideds think.

McCain’s new ad was whipped out before the debate was even over:

    Great roundup … thanks.

Actually, it was close, but even lefties are saying McCain did better than expected, and hence “won” it.

    Have a great weekend.

Saved me the trouble of watching – a painful ordeal in and of itself. Actually, the entire election this year has left me burnt out. The incessant lies of the left – aided and abetted by their detestable friends in the media has left a taste in my mouth similar to that of a dirty sock.

Seriously … if nothing else, this clearly demonstrates the divide in our country between good and evil, and it’s not a stretch to see where the evil lies. The left is a cancer on our society, whether from the media, the “entertainment” industry, the legal “profession”, and especially politics. I am of the opinion that nothing short of an insurrection will save this country from the excesses of the left. They must be stopped, and purged from our country – by force if necessary. Anyone who cannot see this is why they are trying to shut down free speech and take away our rights under the First and Second amendments is simply delusional.

A simple examination of the short list of programs the Obamanation states unequivocally he will institute, i.e. MANDATORY “education” summer camps, unrestricted murder (abortion) on demand, distribution of our tax dollars for “world poverty”, for just a few, ought to make people will a lick of sense sit up and say “WTF, over?”

Some have said that rather than vote for McCain – who I freely admit is not my first, or even second, choice as President – they would accede to an Obama Presidency on the idea that he could not do that much harm in just 4 years and then the public would restore a Republican administration.

Delusional. The harm that that moron (Obama) and his plagiarising sidekick could do to our nation in four short years could be irreversible, if one considers lifetime federal court appointees alone!

This racist clown, his domestic terrorist, corrupt Chicago political friends, and “big finance” thief buddies must NOT be allowed to take control of this nation. Not now – not ever.

For God’s sake, people … THINK!

    I agree with you 100%.

I think that a lot of those conservatives who have said they would never vote for McCain are having second thoughts, though, the more they get to know Obama.
