How the hell did that happen? Even liberal stalwarts were admitting that Franken’s chances were dimming.
Temporary setbacK?…With less than 9% of the ballots left to count?
UPDATE:
Looking at the numbers a little closer, it may just be because Coleman has fallen behind Franken in challenges. He has been staying even with Franken on the number of challenges, presumably to neutralize that tactic. But the numbers still don’t add up…
UPDATE II:
Ace thinks it may be a typo. I don’t see how this can be, either. They need to fix that, ASAP…..geez…
UPDATE III:
Geoff points me to the MN Star Trib which has all the latest recount news, and has Colman ahead by 340.
PHEW!!!
UPDATE IV:
SteveG raises the bullshit flag at No Runny Eggs. See him for the explanation.

There is still the constant issue of disqualified absentee’s so it might also have to do with that.

The Star Tribune claims to have the latest info, and they have Coleman ahead.

Heads Democrats win, tails Republicans lose.
That’s just the way it is.
Nice, huh? Deb!

Noooooo!!! God please don’t let that moron get to the senate.
December, 2, 2008 at 2:43 am
Put that angry, violent, unfunny moron in the senate, please!
Certainly would give the GOP that much more to run against in 2010, provided he’s not drummed out by his own party before then.

They forgot that the headline saying they suddenly find 4,000 votes in the back of a truck should have come first.

Makes you wonder how many times we’ve been subjected to the old switcheroo in the past.

It’s an intentional bullshit move by the DFL SecState. There are 4 counties that haven’t started recounting yet (3 that went heavily for Coleman, 1 that barely went for Franken), and a couple of other counties that are not yet complete. Those numbers are not part of the DFL SecState’s numbers, but they are part of the Star Tribune’s.
There is still an unexplained 500-vote difference between the Strib’s numbers and the DFL SecState’s numbers which officially favors Franken, but my mind’s too far gone to run down where that is.
