There is a propaganda war being fought, and as usual, the good guys are losing. The usual terrorist tactic of using civilian shields is having the predictable result, with the predictable outcry from a gullible public. As Israel warns houses of impending attacks, Hamas uses the intelligence to move women and children into the targeted areas. The newspaper coverage of the conflict has been abysmal, consistently favoring the Palestinian side.

Hamas still benefits greatly from media sympathizers who will unquestioningly run agitprop for Hamas and savaging Israel’s defensive actions. MSNBC is particularly awful at maintaining objectivity in US media. The British media is far worse and I wont even begin to get into the sewers and fever swamps of the state-run propagandists of the Arab world.

Yet, in a crazed world, this behavior is incredibly excused by blaming it on the victims of such ungodly acts.

I think it’s time to admit that Israel was just a bad idea based on well-meaning rhetorical hooey, like the League of Nations.
Since all they do is spy on us, sell our military secrets to our enemies and basically undermine our own best strategic interests in the Middle East, I don’t see why we can’t move the whole shebang to Wyoming, where they’d all be safe and we could keep an eye on them.

Of course Israel is losing the propaganda war.
In 1948, after the UN created Israel, and violence broke out they sent in Count Folke Bernadotte to try to negotiate a settlement. The Irgun (which later became the Likud Party) under the command of Yitzhak Shamir who became the 7th PM of Israel, murdered him. Bernadotte was famous for negotiating with the Nazis to save thousands of Jewish lives at the end of WWII. Shamir himself has said:
“neither Jewish ethics nor Jewish tradition can disqualify terrorism as a means of combat”
Do you think the Arabs didn’t notice this? Do you think everybody in the world is never going to know it?
All of you probably know that the Grand Mufti Mohammad Amin al-Husayn met with Hitler in 1943, but how many of you know that Irgun offered to “actively take part in the war on Germany’s side” in 1941? Or that this group of people carried out a massacre in Dier Yassin in 1948?
Or that, according to Israel’s estimate, they created 470,000 Arab refugees by 1950?
In 1948, right after the UN created Israel, Israel broke it’s first UN Resolution – 194. How can UN Resolution 181 be valid if 194 isn’t? It was the same body, same people, same countries that voted 181 and 194 in. Why would one be invalid and the other valid?

How ignorant do you expect people to remain? Do you think nobody is going to look up the past, and see that Zionists blew up the Kind David Hotel? These claims of Hamas using Palestinian human shields don’t match up with the statistics or the reports.
Israel has Jewish only towns, how many Christian Zionists know that, or would support it? In 2000, the Israeli Muslim Ka’adan family had to sue right up to the Supreme Court of Israel for the right to live in Katzir and the Knesset is trying to overturn the decision, saying the Supreme Court has no right to overturn any law and that Israel has no constitution, which is technically true. Even during segregation in the United States, it wasn’t Federal law to enforce segregation.
People claim that Palestinians already have a state and should go to Jordan, but Jordan doesn’t want them. When Egypt controlled the Gaza strip, they never gave them Egyptian citizenship. What are the Palestinians supposed to do? They can’t go anywhere. Nobody in the Middle East wants them or will allow them to leave to come to their countries. 90% of their anger directed at Israel isn’t about the humanitarian problem, but that Israel wants to force a bunch of people that they’ve turned into uneducated savages over the last 60 years to move into their countries.
Of course Israel is going to lose the propaganda war, there’s the Internet now. Instead of having to go to a library and dig up a bunch of dusty books and periodicals to find out the history of Israel and understand what is actually going on you can do it in a week if you have mind to do it. It doesn’t take long to realize that lo and behold it’s not complicated at all nor is it about religion or anti-Semitism but land. People in the US can’t understand religious fanaticism but they can understand ethnic cleansing and fighting back.
Israel can’t win the propaganda war, because everything is there before you, if you have a mind to find out what it is.
I know this will have many people here ablaze with indignation, but just look the history. Americans are told 1/2 side of the story. What do you think will happen when they get the full truth? They’ve not exactly been lied to, unless you count lies by omission. People are going to get angry when they realize they’ve been duped into supporting a country that is basically founded on racism, that Zionists imported terrorism and first used it as a tactic there, that Israel isn’t like the United States at all nor is it anything resembling a western style Democracy.
How do you think Baptists would feel to know that in 1982, Zionists blew up the first Baptist church that was created there, and burned it to the ground? How do you think Christians would feel to know how the Armenian Christians are treated there? That stars of David are spray painted on Christian churches and Christians are spat upon?
The only reason most Americans support Israel, is that they know nearly nothing about it other than what little the US media reports. Do you expect them to remain ignorant forever? The credibility of the US media is already in tatters. As time goes on, they are going to have to abandon propaganda, and be more truthful just to maintain their credibility, or lose it altogether.
You complain about US media bias, well the bias all in your side’s favor. You have an agenda, and you don’t care about the full truth, you only care about the agenda. If anything even approaching balance or objective reporting shows up, you decry it as anti-Semitic, a term so overused now, that it’s meaningless.
As easy as it is to get a bunch of ignorant Americans to blindly and without thought or question to support Israel, it’s just as easy to turn them into the next Nazis. Israel has caused a lot of difficulty for the United States, and although it’s “anti-Semitic” to acknowledge that Israel has destroyed US relations with all the other Arab countries, it’s true. If it comes down to who the US must support in order to gain access to oil or to stop terrorism or whatever, the US will become pragmatic, and the media will turn on a dime operating as the mouthpiece for those that really run this country.
I’m truly sorry for Israel. They should have found peace 40 years ago. The US’ blind support of Israel has given them too much arrogance. When US support has to end, and there will be a day that it will have to end, Israel will be facing a true real challenge for survival.
With a financial system in collapse, and 2 trillion dollars being added to the national debt this year, along with China’s unwillingness to further support US deficit spending, that time may be very soon. Iran has stopped accepting US dollars for payment of oil, Russia, the only country to supply Israel with oil, has been antagonized by the US with ballistic missiles in Poland, Chavez has been alienated, and the entire world was victimized from hedge funds to pension funds by the US banking system through CDOs and SIVs. Who will help the United States – and if nobody comes to the rescue of the US, who will help Israel? Without the massive aid the US provides Israel every year, can Israel survive?
Israelis need to find peace quickly and I encourage you to help them do that and end nonsense about propaganda and believing God Himself will save the country. If you care about the future of that country, it’s time to become pragmatic, and stop being fanatics seeing anti-Semitism in every corner and dark shadow. Israel needs to reconcile while they still have any opportunity of doing so.

Nobody has argued that Israel is without sin. But the fact of the matter is, the Palestinians have been given generous strips of land, but their leaders won’t be happy until they achieve the total destruction of Israel.

Without going into any argument, because it’s utterly pointless, and Israels fate it already sealed anyhow, what is the Zionist charter?
It’s to create a Jewish state in all of greater Israel and that includes the West bank and Gaza, isn’t it? Precisely what Hamas is trying to do for Palestinians and you object to that. The utter absurdity of the double standard is just mind boggling.
