The Washington Times reports that Dick Cheney continued “his verbal attack against President Obama”, on Sunday, saying that “the country is more vulnerable to a potential terrorist attack since the Obama administration took power”:
Mr. Cheney said that administration’s dismantling of many of the policies and protections instituted by President George W. Bush after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks — including the planned closing of the Guantanamo Bay detention camp in Cuba and halting controversial prisoner interrogation techniques — have made the country more vulnerable to future attacks.
“That’s my belief,” Mr. Cheney said on CBS’ “Face the Nation.” “I think to the extent that those [Bush-era] policies were responsible for saving lives, that the administration is now trying to cancel those policies … means in the future we’re not going to have the same safeguards we’ve had for the last eight years.”

Hi Deb, I saw the interview. Everything he said sounded good, unless you know that he is a NWO hack just like the rest of them. Hope ya have a good week.

I don’t agree with that…and who’s Deety?

Hi Deb, Deety and Hilda, two characters from Robert Heinlein’s “the Number of the Beast”. Outstanding, fun Sci-Fi.

Hi again Deb, it’s not that I WANT to agree with my statement about our former vice president, but when I look at all of the policies that came about under our former administration, and others that were not turned around 180 degrees, I just have no choice. It is, without a doubt in my puny little mind, the private central bankers who are running this country and most of the rest of the world. They foment wars so they can loan the money to fight those wars. I started looking at this about 20 years ago.

At least Cheney is standing up for the unfortunate but necessary steps that had to be taken to protect America. Should America be attacked at home again, Obama will not be able to blame it on anyone but Himself. Making it easier to attack us by decreasing our ability to gather intelligence only invites another attack.
Economically, Obama is also going to have a very rough year. As He is so against reducing spending, the deficit is growing at a much faster pace. Accordingly, inflation that was thought to begin around the first of 2010 may be showing signs of starting now. The deficit figures released this morning also show that interest rates will be driven up very soon. These two events will certainly kill any jobs recovery.
So a weaker defense and now the prospects of extending the recession are not going to play well on main street. Conservatives should at least be optimistic that people will listen.

MAS1916 – Don’t get me wrong, Obama is a puppet beast and I never drank his kool-aid. Hell, I wouldn’t even sniff it.
