Johnson County, KS Cap And Tax Protest

With less than 24 hours notice, and temps in the triple digits, a sizable crowd of KC area citizens showed up in front of the Johnson County Courthouse in Olathe, KS, Sat. afternoon (June 27) to protest the God-awful cap and trade bill passed by the House, yesterday.

Here are some  pix, with commentary, as always:

*This is good…Via The Hill:

Minority Leader John Boehner (R-Ohio) had a few choice words about House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s (D-Calif.) landmark climate-change bill after its passage Friday.

When asked why he read portions of the cap-and-trade bill on the floor Friday night, Boehner told The Hill, “Hey, people deserve to know what’s in this pile of s–t.”

Great photos! I wish I could have been there. I couldn’t go because I am on some painkillers because of some dental work I had done this week.

I honestly felt stabbed in the back by the 8 traitors. Maybe they need to do an Arlen Spector and officially become democrats.

  2. nicedeb Says:

Thanks, Ginger. It was hot out there, let me tell you, but worthwhile. Hope you’re feeling better, soon.

I saw on Ace where some troll said that this bill would only cost every American 40 dollars a year. Yeah, I know, I laughed too. But also, I had no idea that my two year old and 10 month old paid taxes. I learn something new everyday. Liberals have succeeded in dumbing down Americans.

Ack, I thought my post didn’t go through. Sorry.

  5. nicedeb Says:

Heh! That’s okay, I’m keeping them both ’cause they’re different.

    Deb,
Thanks for the pictures, they lift our spirts. Sometimes I feel like I’m the only one who is (angry, depressed, afraid, mad as hell, disgusted…etc) You website and others keeps us sane. Allows for a place to vent. Thanks again.

Too bad that the remainder of the people throughout this country have no guts. Venting is not going to do it.
