Went to Columbus Oh tea party 10,000+ there–NO media showed up? NOT ONE not even FOX! Judge Napolitano was there keynote speaker.
Some blogs that covered the event, Patterico, Prison Planet and Liberty Forest.
Here’s Judge Andrew Napolitano, (Fox News Judicial Analyst and Author) speechifying on the Constitution and State Sovereignty:
*UPDATE:
Andy Says:
All of the local affiliates were there, and it seemed that most of them led their 6pm newscasts with it. They also ran it near the beginning of the 11pm newscasts.
Good to hear.
UPDATE II (August 4):
Greta Van Susteren covered the Ohio tea party on her show, tonight, and interviewed one of the organizers, Jason Rink:

Over 7000 attended (Awesome !) and not even Fox News made an appearance ?
I can feel my blood pressure rising out of disgust.

Seems like you people in the US got a fight ahead of you
August, 1, 2009 at 11:24 pm
Yet 8 code pink hags used to show up to protest the defence of liberty, funded by soros, and all the main DNC lickspittle media showed up. Media bias? Naaaahhhh…..

Thanks Gerardo, we WILL fight the good fight, and WIN!

Don’t be discouraged, congrats to the great state of Ohio and it’s proud citizens! Trust me, they are feeling the heat and this just continues to turn it up. Screw the MSM send these pictures out to everyone you know and the word will get out. We don’t need the media to make things happen.

Good for them!
I’m hoping there’s another rally here in Chicago soon… we have to keep up the pressure!

I was at this wonderful event – so glad I went to see so many everyday people coming together for the better good – to start the American Revolution II.
Guess you can only make the news if you break windows of stores, loot, turn over cars and burn them. This was thousands upon thousands of peaceful freedom loving Americans voicing their love for the Country provided by the Founding Fathers and our Creator. So, until we riot, cause destruction, or invite community organizers to attend, I guess trhey will try to ignore us. There may not be MSM coverage, but they know we are here and they are getting scared because they know we are not going away!
We owe it to all future generations to wage this battle! Plan to go to DC on 9-12! Join your local organizations! Attend as many tea parties as possible. Write, call, email your congressmen and women. Stand tall and firm and we will slowly but certainly prevail. To paraphrase one of the speakers from yesterday: I was not born in a socialist country, I will not die in and a socialist country, and my grandchildren will not either!

I was also there in Columbus. It does my heart good to see so many people taking a stand against the tyranny that faces us now. The people all came together to reclaim our country. To give notice to those choosing to abuse the power WE gave them. We are watching. We will not go gentle into that night. Obama, you wanted a civilian army… you’ve got one. Fighting back with my votes.

I can only get 1 Cols channel where I live and they did not really do the story justice, choosing only to really focus on the local tax issue. And from what I could find online at the Columbus Dispatch, the coverage was scant.
I liked the comment yesterday – this is definitely not owlr for word – The government spends at their will, taxes at their will, and ignores our will.

Yes, they are frightened. True journalism is dead in our country. We need to stop beating that dead horse and move on. The internet and bloggers are the real media of this country now. If these tea parties do anything, I hope and pray that they will be used as “get out the vote” vehicles for 2010 and 2012. Too many sat at home in the last election in disgust with the system, both D and R. We cannot afford to let that happen again. It starts in 2010 and that’s NOW. Way to go, Ohio!! We’re there with you in Texas. Let this spread far and wide!!

I had recently heard (about an hour or so ago) Police in Columbus estimated the crowds at between 8,000 and 10,000 – and what mention there has been on MSM – there were about 300.

I just heard on Glen Beck (Fox) about the August Tea Party. Great going Columbus (City of my Mom’s birth)! As a former Democrat with my eyes wide open now, I am proud of my fello Americans who put America first over party. I love Fox now, since mainstream news is off the job. I am going to continue calling the other news stations and my representatives asking for the truth.

I was there and it was a statement of the real feelings of the people of the heartland of this great country. The elected idiots should get out to see the real America and then vote with a little common sense instead of self perpetuation! The Judge said it all! Too bad the “main stream press” is so government controlled! If the laws were enforced we wouldn’t be in the financial difficulties we are in. If the elected idiots were on Social Security, medicare and had to follow the law like the sheeple do our problems would be fixed in a heart beat! KYPD cul jlg
