Is this really breaking news? I thought that I had heard a long time ago, that George W. Bush had indeed volunteered to go to Vietnam. Goldberg is right, it is a little known fact, and the CBS producer Mary Mapes knew it and suppressed the information.
I do remember her as the real villain in this case.

No, he wasn’t perfect, but unlike the current occupant of the White House, he took his responsibility to keep the nation secure, seriously, and he did keep us safe for eight years after 9/11. You can still personally thank him for that at this website, Mission Accomplished.
