LOL:CA Democrat Party Sends Out Urgent Fundraising Letter Over “Chilling” Town Hall Video

This gave me my laugh of the day. How humor impaired is the CA Democrat party? Check out what has given them the vapors:

Of course, the commentary accompanying the video on YouTube doesn’t help matters:

Watch Rep. Wally Herger encourage right-wing terrorism by calling a self-proclaimed “proud right-wing terrorist” a “great American” at a recent town hall meeting.

ZOMG! Shocking!

Here’s some of the fund raising letter sent out by the CA Dummicrat party:

Members of Congress around the country have held some heated town hall events this month. But the rhetoric went above and beyond at a recent town hall meeting held by Republican Rep. Wally Herger.
At the meeting in Redding, a man stood up and identified himself as “a proud right-wing terrorist.” Instead of denouncing him, Congressman Herger called the man “a great American.”

That’s outrageous –which is why the California Democratic Party is buying newspaper ads next week in the Mt. Shasta Herald and the Redding Searchlight, demanding that Herger apologize and repudiate right-wing terrorism.

For a scathing and scatological response to these doofuses, see Misha at Anti-Idiotarion Rottweiler.

Some People You Just Can’t Reach…

Here are some  pictures of right wing extremists from tea parties across the nation.

Caution! Chilling material ahead:

Good God, he even has the Timothy McVeigh military style haircut

Yes, you do lady, now put down your sign, and let the CA Dem party catch their breath.

Oh my!

Always on the cutting edge of stupid, MSNBC’s uberdork Keef Olbermann made Rep.  Herger his “Worst Person of the World”, last week, ranting that Herger was bound by oath to uphold the Constitution, dammit!

Start at 2:30:

And if some buffoon in his audience calls himself a terrorist, he is minimally required to remind him what that means…and how many Americans have died at the hands of terrorists, and you have to tell them to shut the hell up until he can come close to living up to what you told everybody in that crowd when that little FASCIST rally started, they have to respect each other’s opinions. (*irony meter explosion*) And if you can’t Congressman Herger, you’re not entitled to serve as Redding’s DOG CATCHER – let alone to be in the House of Representatives.

Congressman Wally (a right wing terrorist is a great American) Herger, of the CA 2nd, today’s Worst Person in the World!!1111!!1!!

They didn’t teach the Constitution at that Ag college he went to, did they?

One more:

Via American Power, here’s a harrowing photo from  one of this weekend’s tea parties in Nevada:

Good grief!!! Could someone who has read the Constitution PLEASE EXPLAIN TO THIS FASCIST that he needs to “shut the hell up” because thousands of Americans have died at the hands of radicals?!

    Democrats beclown themselves once again.

It just never stops being funny.

  2. Anonymous Says:

It might be less funny when we’re in FEMA camps …
naaah! It’s STILL be funny. In fact, we’ll have to revel in our senses of humor all the more then …
But for now, still clinging to God & guns.
Thanks for keeping the faith, Deb! Blog on, baby!

    The jokes write themselves.

  4. jana Says:

    “The jokes write themselves.”

In 2012, that can replace “Change we can believe in” as Zero’s campaign slogan.

  5. JackStraw Says:

Is it too much to ask of a self-proclaimed genius like Olbermann to understand the meaning of the word fascist, particularly when we currently have a president who is attempting to have the government take over huge swaths of the economy?

  6. Leah Says:

I WAS going to say something about mid-20th c. European history, but that would be inflammatory.

Of course you all would do well to remember that liberals and progressives don’t consider themselves Communists either.

    Nor are they.

But you think their policies will lead directly to Communist dictatorship, and proudly proclaim that opinion. Hey, just like Reagan’s prediction about Medicare came true, huh?

Was Teddy Roosevelt a communist? He worked to rein in out-of-control capitalism and tried to establish rational national health care.

Somehow I suspect that intransigent conservatism, rather than negotiable liberalism, is more likely to lead to the tyranny of the few over the many.

BTW, nice deb, I wonder if the founders of our country had in mind that our nation would have a secret government that thinks nothing of using assassination and torture to further it’s interests.

‘It is now clear that we are facing an implacable enemy whose avowed objective is world domination by whatever means and at whatever cost. There are no rules in such a game. Hitherto acceptable norms of human conduct do not apply. If the United States is to survive, long-standing American concepts of “fair play” must be reconsidered.’

From the Doolittle report, commissioned by the Eisenhower administration in 1954, thinking used to justify the future methods of the CIA.

“fair play” in quotes, as if it’s some kind of blurry, artificial construct. Hmmm, that’s not what I’m raising my children to believe.

We betrayed our principles to fight Communism — which was doomed to failure anyway, wasn’t it? — and we’re betraying them still, in both foreign and domestic policy, mostly due to pressure from radical conservatives and the corporations that manipulate them.

You say you want your country back?

It’s not just your country, and you’re actually in the minority (just a very noisy, easily manipulated minority.)

I, and millions more like me, want OUR country back. And you have nothing to fear from that desire, because we actually believe in EVERYONE’s right to enjoy a secure, fulfilling life, at no one else’s expense.

If y’all would get that through your heads, then we could communicate rationally.

  7. Leah Says:

    FEMA camps?

Is that supposed to be a joke too?

Of course you have heard that at least one misguided woman took that insane idea seriously.

Keep spreading that crap around long enough, and more people will.

Or do you really mean it?

It’s kind of hard to tell with some people.

  8. nicedeb Says:’re talking to an anonymous moby.

  9. nicedeb Says:

I WAS going to say something about mid-20th c. European history, but that would be inflammatory.

I’d love to hear your thoughts. If you actually knew anything about it, you’d be very alarmed by the direction the Obama administration is taking us. But something tells me you were going to rely on standard liberal smears.

    Was Teddy Roosevelt a communist?

    You be the judge:

We betrayed our principles to fight Communism — which was doomed to failure anyway, wasn’t it?

It’s been a raging success. An ex KGB officer explained how indoctrination worked back in a 1985 interview.

The second part applies to people like you.

Actually the first part does, too.
    Your country back?

What country would that be? One that takes care of all of your needs from cradle to grave at the expense of your freedom? That’s that’s the country you want, “back”?

Reagan was quite prescient about Medicare. Bankrupt Medicare and Medicaid have all but destroyed our health care system, which we all agree should be reformed. Why you would support another system that would create more problems than it would solve is beyond me.

  10. Leah Says:

A great white whale without a last name? Where?

I just had a great idea for a bumper sticker:

    How do you like that?

And don’t let the fact that the reason y’all get so much press is because you’re alternately ridiculous and inflammatory get in the way of your delusions.

    Have a great day!

  11. Leah Says:

Huh, I am a bit concerned about some actions and inactions of the Obama administration — but likely not the same ones you are!

    Have fun.

  12. nicedeb Says:

You’re kind of new to the internet, aren’t you Leah?

  13. nicedeb Says:

And don’t let the fact that the reason y’all get so much press is because you’re alternately ridiculous and inflammatory get in the way of your delusions.

Overbite and the rest of MSNBC, and the 50 or so people in their audience certainly would recognize ridiculous and inflammatory when they see it.

  14. JackStraw Says:

    >>Somehow I suspect that intransigent conservatism, rather than negotiable liberalism, is more likely to lead to the tyranny of the few over the many.

Of course you do because you have neither an understanding of conservatism nor a grasp on the historical lessons of liberalism/socialism and the natural progession they invariably have to a tyranny of the state over the people. You need only look to the south and see what is happening in Latin and South America to see it happening in real time.

And if you want to really understand the beliefs of the founding fathers you need no better lesson than how Jefferson dealt with the Barbary pirates. It might also give you a better understanding of why many of us don’t give a damn what our “friends” around the world feel about us or our methods to defend our interests.

You might also get a an appreciation that it wasn’t the Doolittle report that influences the thinking by the majority (yea, I know that’s a shock to you but the majority of this country is made up of conservatives and not liberals) of people in this country goes back to a basic disagreement between those who wish to appease our enemies and those who insist on defeating them, sometimes in ways I’m sure you find unbearable. Tough.

  15. geoff Says:

Is Leah ever going to say anything? Her word-to-content ratio is worse than the President’s.

  16. jana Says:

“Her word-to-content ratio is worse than the President’s.”

    Now *that’s* quite an accomplishment.

As I tell my spouse when he starts to ramble in the middle of a long tale: “More point, less story.”

  17. Veeshir Says:

But Leah did say my personal favorite
?We betrayed our principles to fight Communism — which was doomed to failure anyway, wasn’t it?

You see, even though they were rolling along fine until Ronnie Raygun decided to win the war, set up a strategy and did it, they would have lost anyway. They were doomed.

You know, because North Kor… uhh… Cub…..uhhhhh…. China. Yeah that’s the ticket.
A commie dictatorship that allows less than 1/10 of its population to almost act as if they’re free. So long as they realize they’re not free.
If they try to actually be free? The killings begin.
    But communism was doomed.
