Was this interview before ACORN started employing corporate crisis management tactics? Because Bertha is spinning out of control, here:
“Thank-you for taking the heat”?
What heat?
He didn’t even challenge her risible “our quality control worked” statement. They turned in every fraudulent registration?! OMG. No. They did not.
Bertha Lewis is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Organizer of ACORN, and she’s spewing nonsense. These shysters need to be defunded, now.
No three month waiting period. Now.
A.S.A.P.

If this doesn’t finish ACORN as a corrupt organization sucking at the public teat, then we are though as a nation.

Agreed!

I agree Bertha Lewis is spinning utter nonsense. But bear this in mind: The people who REALLY run Acorn are radical Marxist revolutionaries of the Bill Ayers / Weather Underground type. THEY are pulling the strings.
Bertha is a sham ‘CEO’ because it looks better for them for ‘the face’ of Acorn to be a black one. She needs to sing like a canary & reveal everyone on that “ACORN EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE” she referenced in the statement she put out. They are the people who should be hauled in front of Congress, like, today! Who are they? Someone needs to name names and charge them with some crimes.
I don’t want to make Bertha a poor victim, but I guarantee she has people above her — far more corrupt — feeding her what to say and do, then leaving her to twist in the wind. THOSE are the folks we want to nail. Can’t you just see her Bambi-in-the-headlights look as she vacillates between the “we fired those bad, bad employees” schtick and the “the bad, bad conservatives are making things up about us” schtick? Grasping at straws.
Two last thoughts: Christians reading this, please pray for revival in America. Kingdoms rise and fall. But even if conservatives prevail, it will be a hollow victory if we don’t get right with God.
And last (I DO go on and on, don’t I?) Obama would not be our president if it were not for Acorn. Obama IS Acorn is Obama is Acorn, etc. We can’t let people forget that or let him try to distance himself. He IS Acorn. There is no distancing.

I saw that on twitter, yay!

Forget it, Bertha. The jig is up.

Feels a little vindicating, doesn’t it Deb? Now if they can get the investigation going to demonstrate how this corrupt organization is part and parcel of the Dem party I will be happy.
September, 17, 2009 at 2:35 pm
It’s almost unbelievable that the efforts of this young duo, a 20 and 25 year old are what has finally done them in!
The should get Pulitzers for this, but of course they won’t.
This whole deal would make a great movie.

“Now if they can get the investigation going to demonstrate how this corrupt organization is part and parcel of the Dem party I will be happy.”
My hardy agreement on that!
But … was the defunding tacked onto a bill eliminating private student loans? THAT would be bad. No $$ for you for college if you don’t do Obama’s bidding. Ugh; must research. Could they take a breath now & then before cramming this )(#(#(@ through?

How great would it be to have Senate hearings on ACORN with Anita Moncrief testifying and have some Republican Senator ask “What did Barack Obama know and when did he know it?”
Might as well dream big.
