John Fund brought the troublesome legislation to some conservative activists’ attention during David Horowitz’s Restoration Weekend, November 19-22. “Democrats were very rattled by the November 3rd election results. What do Democrats do when they lose elections? They change the rules”…

…it’s time to start writing your Senators and Congresspersons to voice opposition against a Universal Voter registration.
This legislation would involve the Federal government taking over from the state, the criteria used to register voters. Every individual from every list the state possesses would automatically be placed on the voter rolls. Now you may not think this problematic, yet the potential corruption in legislation like this could be MASSIVE.
In the video, Fund predicts: “The path between the day the bill is introduced and the day it hits House floor will probably be less than two weeks…. This is their stealth bill that is even more sneaky than the health care bill”.

This is what happens when you have a dictatorship, even one that is fairly elected. Our political system is founded on compromise. Take that away and you have a one party juggernaut. The American People not only removed the Right from power last in November 08, they also took away their ability to represent their constituency and moderate the left’s agenda.
The left now has “total control” of two branches of government, and it only makes sense that they would use this opportunity to preserve their power.
The American People have the opportunity to vote compromise back into our system in 2010. Let’s hope that they understand the importance of doing so.
