The thing is that all these Alinskyite tactics have utterly failed. All the real achievements that so called progressives have made toward socialism have been made by the non community organizing machine type pols.
LBJ, FDR, etc… Were hardly radicals and one could make a very good and very conventional argument that if there has been none of this juvenile self important radical stuff, the left would be much further along with is statist project.
Always remember Nixon was a far more effective “progressive” than any democrat that followed him in promoting the socialist corpratist state.
