It’s being touted as one of the largest in the nation. Last year’s tea party at the Liberty Memorial attracted 5,000 people. In light of recent events, I predict this one will be even bigger.

God Help The USA and Israel

I created the above photoshop, last year when Obama’s animus towards Israel first started revealing itself through his policies.

Now it can no longer be denied, after posing as a pro Israel candidate during the 2008 election, and securing nearly 80% of the Jewish vote - Obama is no friend to Israel.

By now the efforts of the White House to isolate and humiliate Israel because of the latter’s decision to approve 1,600 new Jewish homes in East Jerusalem (which is, after all, its capital) are well known: from the scolding language to the leaks about Secretary Clinton’s phone call dressing down Prime Minister Netanyahu to the failure to release even one official photograph of the prime minister’s meeting with President Obama to much else. One cannot but conclude that this escalation of tensions with Israel is not the result of a misunderstanding or of things spinning unexpectedly out of control. No, what we are seeing is premeditated, calculated, and indefensible.

Among the practical outcomes, this will lead to further Palestinian intransigence. We have already seen this. Thanks to the approach taken by the Obama administration, Palestinians are for the first time demanding as a precondition for negotiations a freeze on settlements, even as they haven’t offered any concessions of their own.

It will embolden the enemies of Israel and America. Memo to the Obama administration: we share the same ones. As Norman Podhoretz pointedly once wrote, “the hatred of Israel is in large part a surrogate for anti-Americanism.” And the president’s actions will make Israel more reluctant to make concessions of any kind. If Israel’s most important ally is undercutting her, then she will feel doubly threatened and significantly more insecure. (One of the reasons Ariel Sharon felt he could withdraw from Gaza was because in George W. Bush, Israel knew it had a strong and faithful friend in the White House.)

You need only read the recent headlines (but do click and read some of these) from Commentary’s blog to get a flavor of the disdain, and disappointment from Jewish quarters to Obama’s treatment of Israel:

Nile Gardiner, writing for the UK Telegraph sums up the situation with his trademark visceral disgust: Barack Obama’s humiliation of Israel is a disgrace:

The ritual humiliation of the Israelis is an absolute disgrace, and yet another example of how the Obama administration views its allies with indifference, contempt, and at times outright hostility. It is extraordinary how far the Obama team has gone out of its way to grovel to state sponsors of terrorism, such as Mahmoud Ahmadinejad or Muammar Gaddafi, while kicking America’s friends in the teeth.

Israel is literally fighting for its survival on a daily basis against an array of vicious terrorist groups, from Hamas to Hizbollah, while facing a looming threat from a genocidal, nuclear-armed Iran. President Obama’s top priority in the Middle East should be preventing Iran from building a nuclear weapons programme. Instead he seems obsessed with kowtowing to America’s enemies by bashing Israel at almost every opportunity.

This is a foreign policy doctrine that is both destructive and fundamentally against the US national interest. The future security of the United States rests not upon the degree to which it can appease her enemies, but upon the strength of her enduring alliances with the rest of the free world. Israel needs Washington’s support and vice versa, not a slap in the face from a president whose idea of world leadership seems to consist largely of apologising for his country while throwing America’s friends to the wolves.

Did we not try to warn voters in 2008 that Obama was uncomfortably close  to many anti-Israel  Islamists and radicals?

The Jewish people, both in Israel and the diaspora, seem to be suffering from the Stockholm Syndrome. There can be no logical reason why an American Jew could intellectually excuse Obama’s twenty-year friendship and closeness with the anti-Semitic Farrakhan acolyte Jeremiah Wright. There is no way an American Jew could explain away or rationalize Obama’s connections to Rashid Khalidi, Ali Abunimah, Bill Ayers, Bernardine Dohrn, and know about those connections without knowing what was coming. These Jews (and our history is plagued with them) love ideas, not people. They are so married to their dogma, their ideology, that they cannot, will not, see what is right in front of them. They worship at the church of human secularism. That is their religion. They have no G-d. They are merely wearing a Jewish coat, but do not speak for Jews.

It is the curse of the Jewish people historically to be betrayed by our own. This is the deepest cut of all. The kinderlach, the mamas, the tatas, the bubbies and zadies, shvestas and bruders who were tortured and died unspeakable deaths are crying out to you. Andrew Klavan (and others) Have A Little Fun With The Media

The crime scene in this case is whatever example of right-wing extremism the press can drum up. If they can find a genuine example, like the shooting of George Tiller, they go with that. If not, they’ll find a way to transform a communist, Bush-basher into a right-wing ideologue.

The quips change from week to week, just as they do on TV, but the lines themselves don’t matter. Not really. What matters is the familiarity, the repetition, the setting of expectations which then are met with…something, anything to which the hosanna chorus of the paranoid left can say an amen.

…this campaign of distraction mounted by Democrats meaning to smear millions of Americans involved in legitimate political expression is as transparent as it is distasteful.

The narrative: Fearful underdog Democrats (true if you ignore their notable majorities in both houses of Congress and control of the presidency) are fending off hordes of ferocious, irrational detractors to do what’s right.

Democrats insist Republicans must condemn — over and over — this imaginary rise of widespread radicalism. In doing so, they are implicitly accusing Republicans of controlling the aforementioned radicals.

Other Democrats, like Majority Whip Jim Clyburn, went as far as to claim that Republicans were “aiding and abetting terrorism” against Democrats.

For those grappling with history, here’s what a “mob” looks like: furious citizens raiding the Bastille, stabbing and decapitating its governor, Marquis Bernard de Launay, and placing his head on a pike to parade around Paris streets to cheering crowds.

Or, to put it in more contemporary terms, think anti-capitalist, stone-throwing, Starbucks-hating, economic-justice thugs. Or perhaps radical environmentalists who burn down housing projects and research facilities for Mother Earth. For a domestic terrorist, you won’t need to go farther than your local Chicago university to spot a Weatherman — sorry, Weatherperson.

Note to Greta Van Susteren and other media hosts:

When a guest appears on your show, (like Congressman Bart Stupak, for example), and they start whining about the “ugliness” of the tea partiers, citing the alleged spitting and racial slurs at the Kill the Bill rally in Washington – instead of just letting that pass – would it be too much for you to ask them if they’ve seen evidence of those things actually occurring? I would think that since absolutely no evidence has appeared that prove the allegations, (although countless numbers of  people were videotaping, including members of the black caucus entourage) and in the case of  the so called “spitting” incident, video has appeared that actually disproves the allegation (of intentional spitting), you would want to correct the record. These defamations should be stopped in their tracks – not facilitated.

Fidel Castro Praises ObamaCare Passage

The Cuban model for health care

Does this surprise anyone? It shouldn’t.

Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro on Thursday declared passage of American health care reform “a miracle” and a major victory for Obama’s presidency, but couldn’t help chide the United States for taking so long to enact what communist Cuba achieved decades ago.

“We consider health reform to have been an important battle and a success of his (Obama’s) government,” Castro wrote in an essay published in state media, adding that it would strengthen the president’s hand against lobbyists and “mercenaries.”

But the Cuban leader also used the lengthy piece to criticize the American president for his lack of leadership on climate change and immigration reform, and for his decision to send more troops to Afghanistan, among many other things.

Castro supported Obama during his candidacy, and he’s tickled to death, now, that his ideological little cousin to the north is emulating his policies.

Obama, speaking in Iowa City, soothed his disappointed progressive audience, Thursday by admitting that ObamaCare will lead us to “universal health care” or single payer.

So, yes, this is a common-sense bill. It doesn’t do everything that everybody wants, but it moves us in the direction of universal health care coverage in this country and that’s why everybody here fought so hard for it. (Applause.)

Which is what we’ve been saying all long, but our warnings about Obama’s ultimate designs were branded as “misinformation” by the White House.

Last year, the Liar in Chief tried to explain away the YouTube videos that showed him expressing support for single payer; as something he favored, “only if we were starting from scratch.”

Remember that howler? I sure do. I believed it for approximately 0 seconds.

In a news break during the Rush Limbaugh Show, Kansas City’s KMBZ reported that a video that proved Mo Rep Emanuel Cleaver was spat upon ( with the clear implication that it was purposeful) had appeared on You tube, and you could find the link at the KMBZ website.

Well, here it is, and what it shows is a guy cupping his hands around his mouth to form a makeshift megaphone, hollering ” kill the bill!” as the black caucus entourage walked by. The spittle that sprayed on Cleaver was clearly unintentional:

As you could see, the guy was yelling the entire time, and there were Capital police officers accompanying the entourage the whole time. If there had been any criminality whatsoever, they would have acted.

Of course, Cleaver didn’t press charges.

Meanwhile, via the The Daily Caller we have a disgusting example of race baiting in a voice message left  at the office of Ohio Republican Rep. Jean Schmidt:

Speaker: “Yeah, I’m glad the president passed health care. Yeah. Funky ass, racist-ass Republicans hate that, don’t you? Gene Schmitt, when you got hit by that car, you should’ve broke your back, bitch. And Boehner, motherf***er…that Mitch McConnell. All you racist f***ing Republicans. Why don’t you just change your party name to racist? Cuz if one of those f***ing Tea baggers had spit on me, I’d have shot all them in the f***ing face with my f***ing 9 millimeter. F**k all you racist motherf***ers.”

The left-wing media (or MSM) has been fanning the anti-tea party flames from almost the beginning. After they stopped totally ignoring the tea party movement, they, along with the Dem Socialists in Congress began assaulting it with every form of attack and slur.  This caller, (and probable Countdown With Keef Overbite viewer) only reflects their views with slightly more bile.

Um…is Harry Reid losing it? The historic Senate version of the Health Care bill passed on Christmas Eve last year, was almost derailed when the Senate Majority Leader notoriously and mistakenly voted ‘no’ before quickly changing it to yes. Getting the vote wrong on such an historic vote is a once-in-a-lifetime mistake, right? Alas, no it is not, for lightening appears have struck twice for the Nevada Senator. Or to quote an unidentified clerk picked up by a nearby microphone, “he did it again!”

I wouldn’t be surprised if the calculated campaign  to smear tea partiers  was being orchestrated by the White House.

Make no mistake – Many Republicans in Congress are getting as sick of these smears on the tea party movement as we are:

Pence: “Americans Have Every Right to Oppose Government Takeover Without Being Smeared”

Partial transcript:

“…that is no excuse for bigotry, threats or acts of vandalism and I condemn such things in the strongest possible terms. People who engage in such acts undermine our cause and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

“But I also rise to condemn the efforts to smear millions of law abiding Americans who oppose ObamaCare by associating them and their principled opposition with these criminal acts.

“The American people have every right to oppose this government takeover of health care without being lumped in with bigots and vandals by liberals in Congress and in the mainstream press.

“I say to my countrymen:

“End the threats.

“End the vandalism.

“And let’s also end the smears of law-abiding citizens exercising their first amendment right to speech and peaceable assembly.”

Eric Cantor held a press conference to condemn the Dem Socialists for “fanning the flames”:

“I’ve received threats since I assumed elected office, not only because of my position but also because I’m Jewish. I’ve never blamed anyone in this body for that, period. Any suggestion that a leader in this body would incite threats or acts against other members is akin to saying that I would endanger myself, my wife or my children. Just recently I have been directly threatened. A bullet was shot through the window of my campaign office in Richmond this week, and I’ve received threatening e-mails. But I will not release them, because I believe such actions will only encourage more to be sent,” he said.

In his last comment, Cantor appeared to be taking a shot at Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich.) who has publicly released some of the threatening messages he has received since he cut a deal on abortion funding in the reform bill with the White House and Democratic leaders. Stupak’s messages were also forwarded to reporters by the Democratic National Committee.

“I want to stress this, and it’s very important: Legitimate threats should be treated as security issues,” Cantor said. “And they should be dealt with by the appropriate law enforcement officials. It is reckless to use these incidents as media vehicles for political gain. That is why I have deep concerns that some — DCCC Chairman Chris Van Hollen and DNC Chairman Tim Kaine in particular — are dangerously fanning the flames by suggesting that these incidents be used as a political weapon. Security threats against members of Congress is not a partisan issue, and they should not be treated that way. To use such threats as political weapons is reprehensible.”

Cantor concluded by saying that issuing press releases and releasing threatening messages “can easily fan the flames” and lead to more threats. “Enough is enough, It has to stop,” Cantor said.

Of course, being an Obamacrat means turning off the inconvenient portions of your memory to suit whatever you view as your political objective for that particular time and place. Political violence and vandalism from the left, which was commonplace during the Bush years, was well-known and ignored (or even celebrated as “righteous).” Murder fantasies about killing George W. After 10 hours, the Senate voted on 28 GOP amendments and rejected each and every one, including a Vitter amendment to spare mobile mammography units from punitive tax treatment.

A Town With No Happy-Meal Toys

Rush Predicted this sort of thing would happen 15 years ago -The food police . A NannyState left inflicting all sorts of  onerous regulations and restrictions on restaurant owners all in the interest of keeping our diets “healthful”:

As 5-year-old Jena Rosetta chomped down a “yummy” lunch of Burger King chicken nuggets on Monday and slurped down a soda, her mother dug into the Club BK kids meal box and presented Jena with her reward: a Pinkalicious plastic doll that perfectly matched her pink blouse.

“We like the toys,” said Jena’s mother, Susan Barragan.

But if Santa Clara County Supervisor Ken Yeager gets his way, there may be no more dolls, race cars or toys of any sort to entice kids like Jena — and their parents — to feast on fried, fatty fast-food.

The supervisor wants to stop — or at least limit — restaurants from offering toys that encourage children to eat fatty, sugary, high-calorie and generally unhealthful meals that can lead to childhood obesity.

“They want the toy and have no idea what’s in the food,” Yeager said Monday. “You can’t expect a 3-year-old to say there are too many calories in that hamburger.”

Guess who plays the part of the Burgermeister MeisterBurger.

When Kris Kringle is old enough, he volunteers to deliver the toys to Santa Clara’s fast food restaurants. Meanwhile, unbeknownst to Kris, the Burgermeister, (also known as Santa Clara County Supervisor Ken Yeager) has outlawed all Happy Meal Toys in his jurisdiction, having comically tripped on a Toy Story II Squash & Go Rex, and being injured by a hot wheels tow truck while walking out of City Hall. In revenge, (and because he thinks fast food is “unhealthful”), he declares that anyone found possessing a Happy Meal toy will be arrested and thrown in the dungeon. Meanwhile, before Kris makes it into the town, he befriends a penguin who has lost his way while trying to make it to the South Pole and gives the little penguin the name “Goracle”. Kringle and Goracle run away. Once Kris enters the town, he meets Miss Jessica (, a local schoolteacher. At first, Jess is a bit rude to Kris, but suddenly finds herself liking him when he offers her the one thing she’d always wanted with her Burger King chicken nuggets; a Pinkalicious plastic doll . But not everyone is amused to see Kris. In fact, they’re even frightened off by his very mentioning the words “Happy Meal Toy”. Indeed, the children of the town have been forced into hard labor, (and cup stacking), but mostly cup stacking. Kris, however, decides to do something about that and begins handing out Happy Meal Toys to the wee ones. Just then, the Burgermeister (Ken Yeager ) arrives on the scene. CBS Poll: 62% of Americans Want GOP To Keep Fighting ObamaCare

I thought Obama was supposed to get a post ObamaCare-pass bump…this doesn’t look like a bump:

A CBS News poll released Wednesday finds that nearly two in three Americans want Republicans in Congress to continue to challenge parts of the health care reform bill.

The Senate version of the legislation was passed by the House Sunday night, and President Obama signed it into law on Tuesday. The House also passed a separate reconciliation bill, which cannot be filibustered, that is now being debated in the Senate.

Why The Left Is Attacking The Tea Partiers, And Why The Trumped Up Charges of Racism Will Continue

Most of you know of the latest charges,  ( racial slurs were hollered, and someone spit on Emanuel Cleaver during the Kill The Bill tea party in Washington) most of you know that no video documentation ever appeared to prove it, even though countless numbers of people were videotaping.

I can tell you what’s going on here…In fact I called this one a couple of months ago, when I noticed that  tea partiers had surpassed Sarah Palin as the number one target of  the left-wing media.

They’re just trying to Alinsky the tea-partiers.

The tea party movement, as it’s grown bigger and more powerful, is now seen by the left as the biggest obstacle to getting what they want.

After predicting an early demise of the tea party movement, and sneering at the smaller tea party showing, last Tuesday, (midweek, and a day before St. Patty’s Day),  the massive showing of the 30-40 thousand tea partiers on only 24 hours notice – must have thrown them for a loop.

Who are these people who are passionate enough about health care to come to Washington DC and spend the day waving their signs? asks the general public. What have I been missing?

Well they’re racist tea-baggers, that’s who, say the left. Pay no attention to them. They don’t know what they’re talking about. They’re just too blinded by their racist hatred and bias to realize how much good our young black President is doing.

That’s the line they’re selling, and there are plenty of takers. That’s why they’re going to keep it up.

I just thought it would be helpful if we identified exactly what was going on.

We did chant at times…”Kill the Bill”…”Vote NO”…”Do the Right Thing”. And trust me there were US Capitol Police every few feet; lines upon lines of US Capitol Police, not only on the street corner where I was, but mixed in the crowd behind me on the sidewalk. So if something was said they would have heard it and responded. And if somebody was ’spat upon’ it would have been caught right then and there. I have photos of both sides of the street and corner, they just kept walking, and yes, they were walking next to the curb, next to us, not in the center of the street. Anybody could have reached out and touched them if they wanted. Maxine Waters had her same smug look on her face that she always has, as if she hates the world.

I was there on the corner of Capitol & Independence when these folks walked by, both en route to the Capitol and when they returned. The only thing uttered to them were ‘boo’s’, and thumbs down. They walked by us, smirking, smug looks on their faces and, yes, I saw their staffers filming. I feel like they thought they were going to catch us doing or saying something they could use against us, but we outsmarted them. We stood Firm & Tall!!!

If I didn’t know any better, I’d say they were trying to provoke an incident, and when nothing happened, they trumped something up.

Shameful.

Meanwhile, somewhere in Hollyweird:

“Avatar” director James Cameron had some nasty words for Glenn Beck and global warming “deniers” yesterday.

Cameron said at a news conference that he would like to shoot “those boneheads,” referring to skeptics of anthropogenic global warming. “Anybody that is a global warming denier at this point in time has got their head so deeply up their a** I’m not sure they could hear me,” Cameron added.

As for Beck, “he’s a f****** a**hole,” the 2010 Oscar nominee so eloquently put it.

The MSM is going to be all over that, I’m sure.

Andrew Breitbart is so sure that Rep. John Lewis is lying about the racial slurs, that he’s offering to donate 10K to The Negro College Fund for Lewis to “Put up or shut up”.

It’s time for the allegedly pristine character of Rep. John Lewis to put up or shut up. Therefore, I am offering $10,000 of my own money to provide hard evidence that the N- word was hurled at him not 15 times, as his colleague reported, but just once. Surely one of those two cameras wielded by members of his entourage will prove his point.

And surely if those cameras did not capture such abhorrence, then someone from the mainstream media — those who printed and broadcast his assertions without any reasonable questioning or investigation — must themselves surely have it on camera. Of course we already know they don’t. If they did, you’d have seen it by now.

Rep. Lewis, if you can’t do that, I’ll give him a backup plan: a lie detector test. If you provide verifiable video evidence showing that a single racist epithet was hurled as you walked among the tea partiers, or you pass a simple lie detector test, I will provide a $10K check to the United Negro College Fund.

Anyone who thinks the battle against Obamacare is over does not understand the depth of the opposition to this massive government expansion and the forces of freedom that will be challenging its despotic provisions.

President Obama and the Democrats narrowly won a majority for a bill that will explode federal spending and debt, drive consumer medical care costs through the roof, and lead to healthcare rationing.

But there is yet another vote to come on this bill in November when Obamacare will be the paramount political battleground in the midterm elections that will likely lead to the defeat of at least 30 House Democrats, and possibly more, and easily half a dozen Senate Democrats–effectively  killing Obama’s agenda for the remainder of his term.

But that’s only a part of the political, legal and institutional forces arrayed against the bill’s many anti-choice healthcare mandates and new taxes that Democrats sent to Obama late Sunday night.

Democrats to Reform the Financial Services Industry—what Could Possibly Go Wrong?

Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were the main cause of the nation’s current financial turmoil.  With encouragement from Congressional Democrats, Fannie and Freddie were major purchasers of subprime securities, which allowed the GSEs to receive credit toward their federally-mandated affordable housing goals.  Fannie and Freddie also guaranteed Alt-A loans, which did not require the verification of income or assets for potential borrowers.  In return for Democrat support, the GSEs received protection from any meaningful reforms.  The primary protectors of Fannie and Freddie, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) and Senator Chris Dodd (D-CT), are now offering irresponsible financial services reform plans that place the financial services system in the control of the federal government, while again ignoring any reform of Fannie and Freddie.  Yet, the Obama administration has committed to providing the GSEs unlimited taxpayer funded bailouts as their losses continue to mount.  In fact, after posting its tenth consecutive quarterly loss, Fannie, on February 25, requested an additional $15.3 billion of taxpayer funds.  As AEI’s Peter Wallison noted, “By the end of 2008, Fannie and Freddie held or guaranteed approximately 10 million subprime and Alt-A mortgages and mortgage-backed securities…These are now defaulting at unprecedented rates…Since 2008, under government control, the two agencies have continued to buy dicey mortgages…”  To date, the taxpayers have lost $126.9 billion bailing out the two firms and the Democrats continue to pretend not to notice.

Democrats Choose Bailouts, snub Taxpayers

At a GSE reform hearing in 2003, Rep. Barney Frank (D-MA) stated, ”These two entities-Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac-are not facing any kind of financial crisis.  The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing.”

At a GSE reform hearing in 2004, Rep. William Lacy Clay (D-MO) stated, “This hearing is about a political lynching of Franklin Raines.”

At the same 2004 hearing, Rep. Gregory Meeks (D-NY) stated, “I am just pissed off…[N]ow the problem that we have and that we are faced with is maybe some individuals who wanted to do away with GSEs in the first place, you [the safety and soundness regulator] have given them an excuse to try to have this forum so that we can talk about it and maybe change the direction and the mission of what the GSEs had, which they have done a tremendous job…”

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) stated, “Mr. Chairman, we do not have a crisis at Freddie Mac, and particularly at Fannie Mae, under the outstanding leadership of Franklin Raines.”

At a Senate Banking Committee hearing in 2004, Sen. Christopher Dodd (D-CT) stated, “[T]his [Fannie and Freddie] is one of the great success stories of all time…[O]bviously, the 70 percent of Americans who own their own homes today, in no small measure, due because of the work that’s been done here.”

At the same 2004 Senate hearing, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY), stated, “And my worry is that we’re using the recent safety and soundness concerns, particularly with Freddie, and with a poor regulator, as a straw man to curtail Fannie and Freddie’s mission.”

In a 2008 press release, Rep. Artur Davis (D-AL) stated, “Frankly, I wish my Democratic colleagues would admit that when it comes to Fannie and Freddie, we were wrong.”

Neat huh?

Rasmussen has Dingy Harry at an 8% approval rating and Nancy Pelosi at 11%.

Great job guys!
