File this in Deja-vu all over again…Lefties are once again trying to discredit Rush. We’ve seen this movie before:
Newsbusters provides a transcript from the show:
CHRIS MATTHEWS: And out on a Limbaugh! We’re issuing a challenge tonight and every night to elected Republicans. Come on Hardball please sir and madam and tell us you disagree with Rush on anything! Tell us you’ve had it with his distortions, his misrepresentations, his outright falsehoods. We invite you to tell us he’s not the leader of the Republican Party. It’s our standing offer. Come on Hardball and tell us Rush isn’t telling the truth.
Okay, first of all, as has been pointed out by many others, including Rush, the word, “regime”, Matthews finds so offensive – was used incessantly by Democrats, (including Tingles himself), to describe the Bush administration during the Bush years. You would think that the obvious hypocrisy of that + the fact that Rush has ramped up his use of the word just to bait Matthews…would induce him to lay off, a bit? But no. What a dork.
Secondly, Rush admits he’s only right 97.43% of the time. Occasionally, he gets a fact wrong – like the Shahzad was a registered Dem thing. But Rush isn’t in the business of purposefully misleading people, like Matthews is. Most of what Matthews and his progressive panel, (David Corn, and a Media Matters hack) object to about Rush are his opinions, and his tone. Well, tough – it’s called free speech, and it’s still legal in this country, (but not if liberal- fascists like these guys get their way).
Meanwhile, Matthews actually said on his show a few days ago, that the debt crisis in Greece was caused by right wing governance, when Greece is currently governed by a left wing socialist government, and what we’re witnessing in Europe is clearly, the failure of European styled Socialism. But we can’t have the truth about that coming out while the Obama regime is currently imposing the same failed policies on America. Well done, Chrissy. Alinsky would approve.
Remember the Dems’ ill fated anti-Rush slogan contest from March, 2009? That effort fell flat at the beginning of the Obama regime, and so will this one. No self-respecting Republican (who wants to be re-elected) is going to be seen on MSNBC denouncing Limbaugh.

But Limbaugh’s the one with the problem.

Rush Responded to the “Limbaugh can play with himself” remark on his show, today:

Eh, Bill O’Reilly denounced quite a few things Rush has said lately on an appearance on the view today. I know that is far cry from a politician and it was softball stuff but still, kind of important. The fact of the matter is you can’t make outrageous claims like the oil spill being an inside job and expect not to be called out on it.

Did he seriously make that claim? Or was he just spitballin? I never heard him say that.

Its tough to say Deb, the fact of the matter with Rush is that sometimes he is facetious and you miss that that was the point. It has gotten him in trouble before. His sarcasm is sometimes hard to figure out. I assume it was meant sarcastically but it was hard to tell.

It’s hard for me to gauge because I didn’t hear him say it.
