Video: NBPP Leader Malik “Zulu” Shabazz Lies and Spins Throughout Megyn Kelly Interview

This is a somewhat tougher interview for Malik Zulu Shabazz than the one he did with Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher:

Part one:

Part Two:

A couple of things…

#1: Even though Megyn Kelly managed to elicit from Shabazz an admission that King Samir Shabazz violated “the organization’s” rules by carrying that nightsick, (which he joked about in a private meeting with New Black Panthers)…”little Shabazz” has been welcomed back to the fold with open arms. Video here.

#2: He said Megyn  mischaracterized his words, as quoted by Nagee Muhammad, and  claimed Muhammad is not affiliated with the the NBPP -(see 5:00 in the 1st video).

ORLY?

Exibit 1: Nagee was affiliated enough to be a featured speaker at the NBPP sponsored Black Power convention in May of this year..

Exibit 2: NBPP Crocket County, TN, Website:

Statement of The New Black Panther Party For Self Defense on the Plot to Kill Barack Obama and Black Schoolchildren in Tennessee and on Black voter intimidation of Blacks Nationwide”

“We will not allow some racists and other angry whites, who are getting upset over an impending Barack Obama Presidential victory to intimidate Blacks at the polls.  Most certainly we cannot allow these racist forces to slaughter our babies or commit other acts of violence against the Black population, nor our Black President.  We must organize to counter and neutralize these threats using all means at our disposal.  This is a great time for our people and we must ensure that peace prevails for our people.”

“We love Barack Obama, he gives our people great hope and light for advancement!  Every President America has had has been a white man, now the Black Man must be given his time to rule.  Obama is a man of justice and a leader who wants to do right.  We warn you, leave Barack Obama alone and leave our babies alone because Black People are a spiritual people and a people who are trying to do right and we will not hesitate to take up our legal rights of self defense, this case in Crockett County Tennessee is not isolated.  ON ELECTION DAY, TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 4th, We will be at the polls in the cities and counties in many states to ensure that the enemy does not sabotage the black vote, which was won through the blood of martyrs the of our people”

Black Power!

Statement by Dr. Malik Shabazz, Esq, leader of Black Lawyers For Justice and attorney for the New Black Panther Party for Self Defense. Delivered by Minister Najee Muhammad (NBPP National Field Marshall) and Minister Hashim Nzinga (NBPP National Chief of Staff)

Exibit 3: News/Talk 101.5 out of Jackson, TN reported on these events just prior to election day 2008:

These are photos of Minister Najee Muhammad and his soldiers from the NBPP.

Audio from Black Panther Rally in Crockett County 11/01/08
National Black Panther Soldiers talk to a crowd gathered on the street corner prior to Press Conference. A group of about 20-25 African American Crockett County residents gathered in front of a store prior to the press conference andlistened as Black Panther leader Minister Najee and others gave what sounded like a recruitment pitch.Flyers were distributed that gave contact information. The audio quality is less than perfect due to circumstances and recording conditions…Audio File

Skinhead Arrests bring Black Panthers
to Alamo TN

by Keith Sherley

Keith Sherley was the only reporter in the crowd as Panthers spoke to the residents gathered. Attached is an audio clip from part of that rally.

Impromptu gathering on the street
prior to the press conference

New Black Panther National Field Marshall Najee Muhammad meets Alamo Police Officer Patrolman Cole and shows him the recruitment flyer from the NBP Party. They discuss the ideals of the Party as Panther Soldiers look on and watch the area. Patrol Officer Cole greets a few of those beginning to gather:

More pictures from the press conference, here.

CASE CLOSED.

Malik “Zulu” Shabazz was engaging in a little taqiyya with Ms. Kelly, not that she was fooled for a minute.

One more thing:

#3: Once upon a time, team Obama wanted nothing to do with this motley crew. When Malik Zulu Shabazz put up a Black Panther webpage on the My Barack Obama website in March of 2008, a (right-wing) media firestorm erupted, and the Obama campaign quickly took it down, and pretended it was a hoax:

Post from Sam Graham-Felsen’s Blog:

Response to Fox News “story”
By Sam Graham-Felsen – Mar 19, 2008 9:30:21 PM ET

Apparently, today was a slow news day.

So Fox News evidently decided to pore through our millions of user-created pages on My.BarackObama.com and put a screenshot of inflammatory content on the front page of FoxNews.com.

You see, more than 700,000 people have created accounts on the system. You can create one right now if you choose, in about a minute — anyone can.

Now, from time to time people get up to no good — creating fake profiles (like one for Sean Hannity created today), or posting profane or inappropriate content. When they do, the community reports the offending content and if it violates our terms of service it is removed (as the Sean Hannity profile was).

My.BarackObama.com has been at the core of our bottom-up organizing strategy. The tools available have been put to work by a community of supporters that is bigger and more powerful than anything presidential politics has ever seen.

Evidently, Fox News didn’t think it was a big deal that hundreds of thousands of ordinary Americans are participating in the democratic process creating groups and local events in communities all across the country.

But they did think it was a big deal that one random person on the Internet, without the knowledge of the Obama campaign, posted a profile in the system with the image of the New Black Panther Party on it.

When we were alerted of the existence of this page, we pulled it down. Yet even after we pulled the page, Fox News continues to disingenuously and prominently feature this “story” on their homepage.

Shabazz wasn’t offended by the brush-off, according to Aaron Klein, who interviewed him about it:

The removal by the Barack Obama campaign from its official website of an endorsement from the black supremacist New Black Panther Party, or NBPP, was decided upon for “understandable political reasons,” according to the party’s national chairman.

“It’s the game of politics,” the NBPP’s Malik Zulu Shabazz told WND. “The Obama camp’s move to remove our blog doesn’t mean much because I understand politics. We still completely support Obama as the best candidate.”

Just a year later, the Obama Justice Dept. dropped a clear-cut case of voter intimidation against the now favored, and protected group.

You see? It WAS a “story”.

The New Black Panthers’ King of Comedy

King Samir Shabazz, America’s newest comic sensation is taking the country by storm with his hilarious portrayals of  “black power”, and murderous rage.

He made his debut splash on Election day, 2008, when he  menacingly wielded a baton and harassed white voters (“crackas!”, LOL) in front of a polling station in Philadelphia. Unfortunately, because some people don’t appreciate street theater, a case against Samir and his  troupe was pursued at the Dept. of Justice. Thank goodness for them, there were some folks at Eric Holder’s DOJ, who recognized comic genius when they saw it, and the case was dropped.

After seeing King Samir in “You Gonna Hafta Kill Some Crackers and their babies”, it was easy to think he had reached his comic zenith. What could possibly top that?

King Samir has his own theme song, as well as  his own website, where fans can visit and laugh along with the king as he sits on his “black planet throne”, (hee!). This is good stuff:

I hate crackas deeply and I will never compromise with that,SOOOOO CRACKAS STAY OFF MY PAGE.NOT INTERESTED IN ANYTHING YALL HAVE TO SAY. BLACK PEOPLE WAKE UP AND KNOW THAT WE ARE THE GREATEST BEINGS IN THE UNIVERSE. U WANT TO KNOW MORE HOLLA BLACK AT ME!!!!!!!

Now an older video of  Samir, *playing a Rasta musician at an all white VFW talent show has turned up. Listen and laugh, as he sings, “Kill the White People” to the appalled all white audience.

*And here’s some original poetry:

Images

Dark and lonely on a summer night
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord
The watchdog barkin’, do he bite?
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord
I slip in the window
I break his neck
Then his house I start to wreck.
Got no reason, what the heck.
Kill my landlord, kill my landlord.
“C”-”I”-”L”-”L” my landlord.

*props to Eddie Murphy, who  had racist dirtbags like “King Samir” perfectly pegged, 25 years ago.

Michelle Malkin: Whitewashing black racism

If a Tea Party activist threatened to kill the babies of his political opponents, it wouldn’t just be front-page news. It would be the subject of Democrat-led congressional investigations, a series of terrified New York Times columns about the perilous “climate of hate,” a Justice Department probe by Attorney General Eric Holder, a domestic terror alert from Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, and another Important Teachable Moment Speech/Summit from Healer-in-Chief Barack Obama.

But with the racism shoe on the other foot, Team Obama and its media water-carriers are exhibiting the very racial cowardice Holder once purported to condemn. Thanks to Obama’s feckless Department of Injustice, these black supremacist brutes are free to show up on the next national Election Day at polling places in full paramilitary regalia with nightsticks, hurling racist, anti-American epithets at those exercising their right to vote and at those protecting the integrity of the electoral process.

The reaction of our national media watchdogs: Shhhhhhhh.

UPDATE:

Malik Shabazz disses GW, sticks up for “Little Brother “, King Samir Shbazz (I was wondering if they were related)…says he was just a little too strong a black man on election day, 2008….applauds the DOJ for dismissal of the case, and welcomes little Shabazz back to the New Black Panthers…video at Gateway Pundit.

Video: Obama Speech In KC – The Usual Mix of Bush-Blaming, Empty Promises, and Strawmen

DAVID EULITT | The Star

Obama visited the Smith Electric Vehicle Plant in Kansas City today, to give (yet another)speech.

As usual, lot’s not to like, here, including his listless delivery:

The obligatory Bush-bash:

Now, that’s not easy. This recession was the culmination of a decade of irresponsibility – a decade that fell like a sledgehammer on middle class families.

Actually, we did pretty well for a country burdened with  the 9/11 attack, two wars, and Katrina. The economy didn’t start looking bleak until the Dems took over Congress in 2006, and immediately went to work destroying it.

The insufferable self-aggrandizement:

It was in the middle of this crisis that my administration walked through the door. And we had to make some difficult decisions at a moment of maximum peril – a moment when the markets were in turmoil and we were losing millions of jobs. Some of those decisions were unpopular at the time – and, in fact, may still be unpopular today. But I made those decisions to stop a nosedive that threatened to drag us into a second Great Depression. And because we made those hard choices, our economy is in a different place today than it was just a year and half ago.

Never mind that Porkulous had nothing to do with the markets, and even Keynesian economists are now saying that not only did it do nothing to help, it increased the debt to dangerous and unsustainable levels. In other words, he’s taking us off the cliff…

Government doesn’t have all the answers. And it cannot generate the jobs or growth we need by itself. But government can lay the foundation for small businesses to expand and hire, for entrepreneurs to open up shop and test new products, for workers to get the training they need, and for families to achieve some measure of economic security. And that role is especially important in tough economic times.

Oddly enough, even with all that foundation building, small business are still going belly up in startling numbers.

The economy was bleeding jobs; it’s now adding private-sector jobs, and has been for six straight months.

Nope, it’s still bleeding jobs.

Private employers created a net total of only 83,000 jobs in June and 33,000 in May, the Labor Department said last week. That’s down from an average of 200,000 net new jobs in both March and April.

The economy needs to generate at least 100,000 new jobs each month to keep up with population growth, and at least twice that amount to quickly reduce the unemployment rate.

A ridiculous empty promise:

As I’ve said since the day I took office, it is going to take time to reverse the toll of the deepest recession in generations. And I won’t be satisfied as long as even one person who needs a job can’t find one.

Riiiiight, just like he wouldn’t rest until the hole was plugged – He won’t be satisfied until there’s  0% unemployment. O.M.G.

…And right on schedule,  out pop the strawmen!

There are those who argue that we ought to abandon our efforts – and others who have made the political calculation that it’s better to obstruct than lend a hand.

There are those who would like to obstruct the insane clown car he calls an administration, and their cohorts in Congress, before they take us over the cliff…

All in all, a complete waste of my time.

Text of the speech, here.

The Hill: Obama tries to sell ‘recovery summer’ amid slow economy

As Obama travels Thursday to a Kansas City, Mo., truck manufacturer and delivers an address on the economy Friday in Las Vegas, economists and even administration officials say there is very little for him to brag about.
Unemployment will probably rise above 10 percent and stay there or higher for the next nine months, well after the November midterm elections, according to Heidi Shierholz, who tracks labor figures closely for the Economic Policy Institute.

“The main story in the labor market right now is that we are adding jobs, but at a devastatingly slow pace, not even fast enough to start bringing the unemployment rate down,” Shierholz said. The economy added 83,000 private-sector jobs in June, but that’s not nearly enough to make up for the 7 million jobs lost during the recession.

Unemployment is exacerbating the housing crisis: People without jobs can’t buy homes. New home sales dropped 33 percent in May as a federal tax credit expired.

UPDATE:

Sweet. Ed Morrissey has made Obama’s promise not to be satisfied until everyone has a job, his Obamateurism of the Day.

It was certainly one of the lowlights of the speech.

Sarah Palin For RNC Chair

I’m not piling on Michael Steele for his remarks about Afghanistan. In a rare moment of clarity, Steele said is a that the war in Afghanistan is a war of Obama’s choosing. He was absolutely right. Ann Coulter, (who’s never wrong) expertly explained why, here.

It has been idiotically claimed that Steele’s statement about Afghanistan being Obama’s war is “inaccurate” — as if Steele is unaware Bush invaded Afghanistan soon after 9/11. (No one can forget that — even liberals pretended to support that war for three whole weeks.)

Yes, Bush invaded Afghanistan soon after 9/11. Within the first few months we had toppled the Taliban, killed or captured hundreds of al-Qaida fighters and arranged for democratic elections, resulting in an American-friendly government.

Then Bush declared success and turned his attention to Iraq, leaving minimal troops behind in Afghanistan to prevent Osama bin Laden from regrouping, swat down al-Qaida fighters and gather intelligence.

***

In the entire seven-year course of the Afghanistan war under Bush, from October 2001 to January 2009, 625 American soldiers were killed. In 18 short months, Obama has nearly doubled that number to 1,124 Americans killed.

Republicans used to think seriously about deploying the military. President Eisenhower sent aid to South Vietnam, but said he could not “conceive of a greater tragedy” for America than getting heavily involved there.

As Michael Steele correctly noted, every great power that’s tried to stage an all-out war in Afghanistan has gotten its ass handed to it. Everyone knows it’s not worth the trouble and resources to take a nation of rocks and brigands.

Based on Obama’s rules of engagement for our troops in Afghanistan, we’re apparently not even fighting a war. The greatest fighting force in the world is building vocational schools and distributing cheese crackers to children.

There’s even talk of giving soldiers medals for NOT shooting people, which I gather will be awarded posthumously. Naomi Campbell is rougher with her assistants than our troops are allowed to be with Taliban fighters.

My problem with Steele is that he has been prone to avoidable gaffes, and has been largely ineffective, especially in the area of fundraising.

I have absolutely no doubt in my mind that Sarah Palin would be able to turn that around.

We need a strong, high profile, conservative with unwavering principles in the RNC position, and that person is Sarah Palin. We need someone who is willing to throw bombs, and engage in all-out war against the  radical, Marxist forces that have taken over the country. Sarah Palin is that person. She has a proven record as  bomb-thrower and we love her for it. She’s not afraid to have a target on her back. She’s been put through the ringer for the past two years, and has landed on her feet.

Sarah Palin is a winner.

Here’s an effective video montage, via SarahPac of Palin saluting conservative women:

Must read of the day: Powerline: In a silent way

Readers who get their news from the the mainstream media are remarkably ill informed. Much of what they “know” isn’t true and much of what they don’t know is important. Take the case of what Byron York calls “the NASA (non) feeding frenzy.”

You know the story. The guy whom President Obama has put in charge of NASA reports that he has been tasked by President Obama with missions having nothing to do with space exploration. Perhaps the foremost of these missions is to make the Muslim world feel good about itself.

York originally reported the comments made by NASA administrator Charles Bolden to Al Jazeera several days ago. Yesterday York ran a Nexis search to see whether the news had made it into the mainstream media. York’s search produced this (utterly predictable) result:

Total words about the NASA Muslim outreach program in the New York Times: 0.

Total words about the NASA Muslim outreach program in the Washington Post: 0.

Total words about the NASA Muslim outreach program on NBC Nightly News: 0.

Total words about the NASA Muslim outreach program on ABC World News: 0.

Total words about the NASA Muslim outreach program on CBS Evening News: 0.

Same thing with the DOJ New Black Panther scandal -  Little to no coverage…

What does this have to do with Sarah Palin for RNC Chair?

Everything.

Who better than Palin, with her talent for attracting media coverage, to get these stories on the map? Most  Americans don’t scour the internet every day for interesting news stories. They still rely on the MSM for their daily dose of news. Palin is an expert at framing stories in a way that gets the media’s attention.

Sarah Palin for RNC Chair.

Alvin Green Dolls?

Alvin Green advanced his idea for job creation in an interview with The Guardian:

“Another thing we can do for jobs is make toys of me, especially for the holidays. Little dolls. Me. Like maybe little action dolls. Me in an army uniform, air force uniform, and me in my suit. They can make toys of me and my vehicle, especially for the holidays and Christmas for the kids. That’s something that would create jobs.

Hokayyyy…

Here are a couple of ideas:

Alvin Green as BA Ninja-man

Alvin Green as Raggedy Andy

He’s probably right…these things would sell.

The idea is to send good conservatives to Congress, and most of these guys don’t have big pocketbooks.  They could use our help.

The winning candidate gets the 10 buck money bombs when the winner is announced on Friday. More info, here.

In 2007, Obama Said, “We Do Have To Have Genuine Border Security” then A Pathway To Citizenship

Listen carefully:

He says no one would argue that “We have to have genuine border security”,  (and even notes that Mexico should help with that!) He says we have to work with employers to make sure they’re “enforcing rules”, etc…..“then we gotta have a pathway for people who are undocumented and already here”.

The opposite of his position, today:  Comprehensive Immigration Reform then Border Security. He told Senator Kyle: “If we secure the border, then you all won’t have any reason to support comprehensive immigration reform”

And he’s working with Mexico, alright, but only to undermine the enforcement of our immigration  laws – not to help us secure the border.

On January 22, 2009, The Dept of Homeland Security blocked access to the Border Invasion video website from DHS computers:

That shows you how dedicated to border security Homeland Security is. DHS employees aren’t even allowed to see how bad it is.

Instead, they go after AZ for trying to enforce the laws that are already on the books.

Uncoverage has a great post on that front: Obama Administration Sues Arizona Over Immigration Law

Newsmax:

“The Justice Department’s complaint that Arizona has somehow preempted federal law is nothing short of ridiculous,” Republican Study Committee Chairman Tom Price, R-Ga., said in a statement to the media. “Arizona has simply reinforced longstanding federal laws, whose enforcement the Obama administration is now actively seeking to prevent . . . States like Arizona should not have to act on their own, but Washington’s decades of neglect for border security leave them no choice. The federal government should be vigorously securing the border, not suing the State of Arizona.”

The Obama administration has little  chance of prevailing in this case, but that’s not what they’re  really after, anyway. This is about fanning the flames of  pro-amnesty forces, and shoring up the Hispanic vote this November.

The weird thing is, Americans overwhelmingly support Arizona’s law, so they must be counting on a lot of illegal votes.

RELATED:

Hot Air: Dem Rep in AZ says Obama won’t come to the border

Doug Ross: Shhhh, No One Tell Holder or Napolitano…

Two months ago, north of Monterrey, the Mexican military discovered a huge weapons cache that should send a shiver down the spine of any U.S. law enforcement official. The arms cache was located roughly 50 miles away from the Texas border.

Good News:

Weasel Zippers: Wow: Donations to Arizona’s Defense Fund Pour in After Obama Files Lawsuit, Over 7,000 People Donate $200,000 in Less Than 24 Hours…

Neil Boortz: THE ARIZONA LAWSUIT :

Finally Arizona passes a law making what is already a crime under federal law a crime under State law.

The Arizona law gives Arizona law enforcement the authority to do what federal law enforcement officers can already do … but aren’t.

Democrats see Hispanic votes slipping away if the law is enforced.

Obama instructs a lawsuit to be filed citing “usurping federal authority.”

Question: Robbing a federally insured bank is a federal crime. It’s also a crime under the statutes of the State of Arizona. Should the Justice Department file a lawsuit against Arizona demanding that Arizona law enforcement officials cease enforcing Arizona’s law against robbing banks because it usurps federal authority? Just wondering.

Why Are Republican Senators Rolling Over For Kagan?

It makes no sense. The woman has no judicial experience, she’s clearly a radical with a judicial philosophy hostile to the Constitution, she’s manipulated science to further her extreme position on abortion, and worst of all she’s young and healthy, which means we’ll be dealing with her destructive views for the next 30 years….

And what are our Republican Senators doing? Rolling over and playing dead.

It’s like they’ve been neutered, especially Cornyn, according to AWR Hawkins at Human Events:

Texas Sen. John Cornyn, one of the few GOP senators who can normally be counted on to stand up for conservatism, has all but agreed to buy Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan a celebratory lunch once she’s confirmed.

Kagan is a documented enemy of the individual right to keep and bear arms, a self-described practitioner of judicial activism (she believes the Constitution has to evolve with the times), an attorney who views “equality” as paramount (particularly when that equality encompasses gay relationships like marriage), and a woman who refuses to admit whether she believes the government has the right to ban books based on their political content.

Yet Cornyn, on day three of Kagan’s confirmation hearings, said he was trying to ascertain what kind of justice she “will be” (such defeatist language almost always portends that it’s a foregone conclusion that the nominee “will be” confirmed).

And he even added: “My gut tells me that she will probably be a predictable member of the minority block” and also said, “I assume she will be confirmed.”

Why assume something will happen when you have the power to stop it?

Tad Armstrong  St. Louis Today urges the Senators to filibuster:

The rules of “cloture” and “nuclear option” aside and assuming all 100 members are present, it would take 41 senators to filibuster a vote to confirm Elena Kagan as the 112th Justice of the Supreme Court. It seems rather odd that 41 senators could impede the will of 59 colleagues, especially because it takes only a simple majority to complete President Obama’s plan to ensure that the makeup of the court loses no ground in the relentless pursuit of unlimited (and unconstitutional) power. Guess how many senators are Republicans?

In general, I prefer majority rule in a legislative body. But, because confirmation of the wrong nominee to the Court is of such singular importance to our nation, my advice to the 41 is to filibuster.

***

The only evidence worth considering are the facts revealed by an independent investigation into the nominee’s past. And, the only question worth investigating is whether that past is predictive of a willingness to abide by an oath to support the Constitution (otherwise known as the “rule of law”) or whether it is predictive of a plan “to mold and steer the law in order to promote ethical values and achieve certain social ends” (otherwise known as the “rule of whatever floats your boat”). Ms. Kagan approves of the latter. I do not. Nominees who believe in the activist approach to judging missed their calling, for Congress is where the job of “molding the law to achieve social ends” properly resides.

I’ve already linked to this AUL video, along with the transcript of Dr. Yoest’s powerful July 1 testimony. In case you missed it, the video is worth watching. Dr. Yoest is a powerful spokesman for the pro life cause, and is calling for an investigation into Kagan’s Clinton era hijinks :

Under the circumstances, why is it considered “dirty” to filibuster this nominee? Just because she’s been affable at her hearings, and is a Twilight fan? I don’t get it.

Yes We Can

Here’s some kick-A poetry, courtesy of Dr. Seuss Alinsky.

I do not like this Uncle Sam,
I do not like his health care scam.
I do not like these dirty crooks,
or how they lie and cook the books.
I do not like when Congress steals,
I do not like their secret deals.
I do not like this speaker, Nan ,
I do not like this 'YES WE CAN.'
I do not like this spending spree,
I'm smart, I know that nothing's free.
I do not like your smug replies,
when I complain about your lies.
I do not like this kind of hope.
I do not like it, nope, nope, nope!

Don’t tell me you never get any culture at Nice Deb.

Iranian Children Appeal To Amnesty International As Mother Faces Death By Stoning: “Please Help End This Nightmare”…

Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani

The Daily Mail reports:

An Iranian woman faces death by stoning after being convicted of adultery.

Amnesty International yesterday called on the Iranian authorities to halt the imminent execution of mother-of-two Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani and the hanging of another woman said to be a political activist.

Ashtiani was convicted of having an ‘illicit relationship’ with two men in May 2006 and received 99 lashes as her sentence.
Despite this, she has also been convicted of adultery and sentenced to death by stoning.

The 43-year-old has retracted a ‘confession’ she said was made under duress.

Appealing for help to the international community, her daughter, Farideh, 16, and son, Sajad, 20, said yesterday: ‘Please help end this nightmare and do not let it turn into a reality. Help us save our mother.’

Under Iran’s Islamic penal code, adultery is punishable by stoning to death or flogging, while hanging is the penalty for murder and other crimes such as drug trafficking.

Stoning sentences were widely carried out after Iran’s 1979 Islamic Revolution, but have been rare in recent years.

Men killed in this way are buried to the waist, while women are buried deeper, to stop the stones hitting their breasts.

Thoughtful of them.

The Daily Mail also had a story in 2007 about a teenage girl that was stoned to death for “loving  the wrong man”. Her grisly murder was captured on film and put on the internet.

It’s so nice that Obama has reached out to the Mullahs, isn’t it? The sad fact of the matter is, as a man of the hard left, Obama is more comfortable with this  totalitarian barbarism than he would be with a free Iranian society, as he demonstrated with his non-support of the Iranian Green revolution, last year.

I can barely fathom the sort of barbaric bloodlust it takes to make stonings possible. How can people be  so cruel? Doesn’t it occur to folks that a just God would never sanction such a brutal, inhumane thing?

A movie, I’ve been conflicted about seeing is The Stoning of Soraya M. It’s a well acclaimed movie, ( it won second place at The Toronto Film Festival behind Slumdog Millionaire), and I had an opportunity to watch it at CPAC, but the very idea of stonings make me cringe. I’ve yet to watch it.

Here’s the trailer for the film:

In a world of secrecy, corruption and injustice, a single courageous voice can tell a true story that changes everything.

This is what lies at the heart of the emotionally charged experience of THE STONING OF SORAYA M. Based on an incredible true story, this powerful tale of a villages persecution of an innocent woman becomes both a daring act of witness and a compelling parable about mob rule. Who will join forces with the plot against her, who will surrender to the mob, and who will dare to stand up for whats right. It is both a classic fable of good and evil and an inspiring tribute to the many fighting against injustice around the world, THE STONING OF SORAYA M. was a rousing runner-up to SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE as the Audience Favorite at the Toronto Film Festival.

Academy Award® nominee Shohreh Aghdashloo (HOUSE OF SAND AND FOG) stars in the heroic role of Zahra, an Iranian woman with a burning secret. When a journalist (Jim Caviezel, THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST, DÉJÀ VU) is stranded in her remote village, she takes a bold chance to reveal what the villagers will stop at nothing to keep hidden.

UPDATE:

Worldwide pressure rises against stoning; EU joins the call

Stoning is barbaric

Death by stoning is cruel and barbaric (Report, 3 July). About a dozen Iranian women, including Azar Bagheri, Mariam Ghorbanzadeh and Sakineh Mohammadi Ashtiani, are now awaiting this punishment. As lawyers and academics, we respectfully ask the Iranian government to exercise mercy, pardon these women and repeal this law. Such penalties damage Iran in the eyes of the world: a change of law and policy would benefit the country as well as its citizens.

The Burning Question: Gross Incompetence Or Cloward-Piven Strategy?

I liked Steven Den Beste’s post over at  Hot Air, today: The Paranoid Answer because it’s nice to know that other rational people are struggling with the same questions I  have… questions  that boil down to:  Is Obama and his cohorts just grossly incompetent, slow learners when it comes to the economy and the Gulf oil spill, or is the destruction of the economy and Gulf intentional? Are we witnessing Cloward-Piven strategy of manufactured crisis in action?  I admit, after having researched Obama’s background as thoroughly as I have, I’ve leaned toward the “paranoid”, “tin foil hat” explanation.

Back in Feb 26, 2008, Spengler asked, “Who is Barack Obama”, and was amazingly prescient in his analysis:

Barack Obama is a clever fellow who imbibed hatred of America with his mother’s milk, but worked his way up the elite ladder of education and career. He shares the resentment of Muslims against the encroachment of American culture, although not their religion. He has the empathetic skill set of an anthropologist who lives with his subjects, learns their language, and elicits their hopes and fears while remaining at emotional distance. That is, he is the political equivalent of a sociopath. The difference is that he is practicing not on a primitive tribe but on the population of the United States.

There is nothing mysterious about Obama’s methods. “A demagogue tries to sound as stupid as his audience so that they will think they are as clever as he is,” wrote Karl Krauss. Americans are the world’s biggest suckers, and laugh at this weakness in their popular culture. Listening to Obama speak, Sinclair Lewis’ cynical tent-revivalist Elmer Gantry comes to mind, or, even better, Tyrone Power’s portrayal of a carnival mentalist in the 1947 film noire Nightmare Alley. The latter is available for instant viewing at Netflix, and highly recommended as an antidote to having felt uplifted by an Obama speech.

America has the great misfortune to have encountered Obama at the peak of his powers at its worst moment of vulnerability in a generation. With malice aforethought, he has sought out their sore point.

***

Be afraid – be very afraid. America is at a low point in its fortunes, and feeling sorry for itself. When Barack utters the word “hope”, they instead hear, “handout”. A cynic might translate the national motto, E pluribus unum, as “something for nothing”. Now that the stock market and the housing market have failed to give Americans something for nothing, they want something for nothing from the government. The trouble is that he who gets something for nothing will earn every penny of it, twice over.

Spengler could see in Feb, 2008 that we were dealing with an elite leftist who hated American exceptionalism. Tragically, the Dem Socialist majority in Congress have been more than happy to enable a President bent on our decline.

James Simpson of The American Thinker. pronounced in 11/09:

It is time to cast aside all remaining doubt. President Obama is not trying to lead America forward to recovery, prosperity and strength. Quite the opposite, in fact…

…The real goal of “health care” legislation, the real goal of “cap-and-trade,” and the real goal of the “stimulus” is to rip the guts out of our private economy and transfer wide swaths of it over to the government to control. Do not be deluded by the propaganda. These initiatives are vehicles for change. They are not goals in and of themselves except in their ability to deliver power. They and will make matters much worse, for that is their design.

***
These people are our enemies. They don’t use guns, yet, but they are just as dangerous, determined, and duplicitous as the communists we faced in the Cold War, Korea, Vietnam, and bush wars across the globe, and the Nazis we faced in World War II
It is time we fully internalized and digested this fact, with all its ugly ramifications. These people have violated countless laws and could be prosecuted, had we the political power. Not only are their policies unconstitutional, but deliberately so — the goal being to make the Constitution irrelevant. Their spending is off the charts and will drive us into hyperinflation, but it could be rescinded, had we the political power. These policies are toxic, but they could be stopped and reversed, had we the political power. Their ideologies are poisonous, but they could be exposed for what they are, with long jail sentences as an object lesson, had we the political power.

One aspect of Obama’s agenda Den Beste’s Hot Air piece didn’t deal with, was foreign policy. As he makes one wrong move after another, one can only ask….is he doing it on purpose? Spengler predicted that Obama would do his utmost to destroy America’s standing as a superpower. He said, “it might take the country another generation to recover”.

Charles Krauthammer, for one,  has had it with the absurdities of Obama’s National Security Strategy:

President Obama’s National Security Strategy insists on calling the enemy — how else do you define those seeking your destruction? – “a loose network of violent extremists.” But this is utterly meaningless. This is not an anger-management therapy group gone rogue. These are people professing a powerful ideology rooted in a radical interpretation of Islam, in whose name they propagandize, proselytize, terrorize and kill.

Why is this important? Because the first rule of war is to know your enemy. If you don’t, you wander into intellectual cul-de-sacs and ignore the real causes that might allow you to prevent recurrences.

The Pentagon report on the Fort Hood shooter runs 86 pages with not a single mention of Hasan’s Islamism. It contains such politically correct inanities as “religious fundamentalism alone is not a risk factor.”

Of course it is. Indeed, Islamist fundamentalism is not only a risk factor. It is the risk factor, the common denominator linking all the great terror attacks of this century – from 9/11 to Mumbai, from Fort Hood to Times Square, from London to Madrid to Bali. The attackers were of various national origin, occupation, age, social class, native tongue and race. The one thing that united them was the jihadist vision in whose name they acted.

And what do we use NASA for, now that space exploration is off the agenda? It becomes an expensive,  high tech, international social program, with these (you’ve got to be kidding me) goals: “re-inspire children” to study science and math, to “expand our international relationships,” and to “reach out to the Muslim world.

A visibly disgusted Krauthammer did not hold back on Special Report, tonight:

“This is a new type of fatuousness. NASA was established to get America into space and to keep us there. This idea of ‘feel good about your past’ scientific achievements is the worst kind of group therapy, psycho-babble, imperial condescension and adolescent diplomacy. If I didn’t know that Obama had told him this, I’d demand the firing of Charles Bolden.”

As Charles said;  unbelievable.

This whole Presidency has been like a bad dream, but at least Michelle’s proud.

Video: John Boehner Hits Back

Obama took the opportunity, (as is his fashion) to attack John Boehner, in his speech in Racine, WI, last week.

Is John Boehner going to sit there and take that crap?

Hell no, he won’t! He hit back with, “What About The Country, Mr. President?” :

Transcript:

“WHAT ABOUT THE COUNTRY, MR. PRESIDENT?”

House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH): “This week, President Obama traveled to Racine, Wisconsin — a city with 14 percent unemployment — and used his time there to attack me. But I’d ask the President several questions:”

President Obama: “In the Gulf, we don’t yet know what caused the explosion on the Deepwater Horizon oil rig.”

Boehner: “Why aren’t you focused on stopping the oil spill in the Gulf and getting the Gulf cleaned up?”

President Obama: “The second thing we’ve got to do is make sure that we’ve got regulations in place so that people don’t get tricked into buying homes that they can’t afford again.”

Boehner: “Why aren’t you focused on reforming Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac?”

President Obama: “The debt is getting bigger, the deficit is getting bigger. How do we get government spending under control?”
Leader Boehner: “Why aren’t you focused on cutting spending now?”

President Obama: “So if I had been just thinking politics I would have sent you one big check with my picture on it.”

Leader Boehner: “Why isn’t the President focused on creating jobs that the American people are asking for?”

Leader Boehner: “Mr. President, what about the country?”

Unbelievable!: Right Before 4th of July Holiday Weekend, Congress “Deemed Faux $1.1 Trillion Budget ‘as Passed’

This Congress is lawless….H Res 1500 passed 215-210, Thursday night, another insane, irresponsible spending measure, with no Republican votes.

Jane Jamisen at Uncoverage.net says they snuck it through while our attention was elsewhere….and nobody in the media but Human Events is talking about it:

In what has become the typical late Friday ”data-dump”, Obama/Democrat shellgame, Congress pulled yet another  fast one on us late last week.  This was also a week before a major holiday, with most of the nation fixated on summer “va-kay,” so the deception was even more likely to be ignored.  We have learned the hard way with this Obama administration that when you LEAST want something important to happen, is when it is most LIKELY to happen.

We were “told” by the president of the United States to “look over here” while he gave an “important” speech on his immigration policy.  Hearings on the most radical Marxist ever nominated to the U.S. Supreme court were wrapping up.  The oil was still spewing helter-skelter in the Gulf, and we discovered even less is being done than we thought.  Gen. Petraeus was getting ready to take over the (faulty) Afghanistan war, sanctions were locking into place on Iran.

In the midst of all that, has anyone noticed that there is NO federal budget for the United States but the House of Representatives is spending lots of money anyway?

Human Events reported on the 2nd, when most people were preparing their big  holiday weekend:

Last night, as part of a procedural vote on the emergency war supplemental bill, House Democrats attached a document that “deemed as passed” a non-existent $1.12 trillion budget. The execution of the “deeming” document allows Democrats to start spending money for Fiscal Year 2011 without the pesky constraints of a budget.

The procedural vote passed 215-210 with no Republicans voting in favor and 38 Democrats crossing the aisle to vote against deeming the faux budget resolution passed.

Never before — since the creation of the Congressional budget process — has the House failed to pass a budget, failed to propose a budget then deemed the non-existent budget as passed as a means to avoid a direct, recorded vote on a budget, but still allow Congress to spend taxpayer money.

House Budget Committee Ranking Member Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.) warned this was the green light for Democrats to continue their out-of-control spending virtually unchecked.

“Facing a record deficit and a tidal wave of debt, House Democrats decided it was politically inconvenient to put forward a budget and account for their fiscal recklessness.  With no priorities and no restraints, the spending, taxing, and borrowing will continue unchecked for the coming fiscal year,” Ryan said.  “The so-called ‘budget enforcement resolution’ enforces no budget, but instead provides a green light for the Appropriators to continue spending, exacerbating our looming fiscal crisis.”

Ryan, speaking on the House floor said Dems have decided that they’re going to delegate responsibility for the budget  to the President’s Fiscal Commission. He wonders:  “Whatever happened to the separation of powers?”

I don’t know how the man is able to keep his cool, under these circumstances:

Nile Gardiner: UK Telegraph: America is sinking under Obama’s towering debt:

The CBO warns of potentially devastating consequence for the United States if this debt mountain is not tackled, and even points out that its “projections understate the severity of the long-term budget problem because they do not incorporate the significant negative effects that accumulating substantial amounts of additional federal debt would have on the economy”:

Large budget deficits would reduce national saving, leading to higher interest rates, more borrowing from abroad, and less domestic investment—which in turn would lower income growth in the United States. Growing debt would also reduce lawmakers’ ability to respond to economic downturns and other challenges.

Over time, higher debt would increase the probability of a fiscal crisis in which investors would lose confidence in the government’s ability to manage its budget, and the government would be forced to pay much more to borrow money.

The CBO assessment is probably the most important economic report the President of the United States will read this year. And it should be a huge wake-up call for the Obama administration, which has so far adopted a policy of sticking its head in the sand in the face of an impending Greek-style financial crisis in the very near future.

Well said!:

Steve McCann, The Thinker: The 4th of July and the Progressive Overreach

On this 4th of July, 2010, when the future of the United States appears to be in serious jeopardy, it should be noted that sometimes in the history of a nation, what appears to be an event that could lead to long-term disaster may, in fact, be its long-term salvation. A case in point: the election of Barack Obama as president and the Democrats in full control of the Congress. To be sure, the far-left domination of government is not a situation to be wished for, but in a perverse way, it was necessary.

Over the past fifty years, regardless of who was in the White House or in charge of Congress, no one has been able to halt the incessant spread of Progressivism in our institutions and the concurrent uncontrolled spending and growth of government. When a president as accomplished as Ronald Reagan was unable to do so, no future Republican president or Congress, short of a major national catastrophe, could ever fully turn back this tide, as they could not overcome the apathy of the people and the hostility of the media, academia, the entertainment establishment, and federal bureaucracies.
A long as the American people remained largely disengaged (the result of unprecedented prosperity), the damage done to the society as a whole and to the long-term financial health of the country was unknown to the vast majority. This indifference has begun to undergo significant change as the reality of the nation’s future comes into focus, but that reality has started to come to the fore only as the result of the policies being pursued by a far-left government.
Today, thanks to a confluence of two factors, the opportunity exists to reverse the course the United States has been on and change the political power structure in the country.
The first: the emergence of alternative news sources that has broken the stranglehold on the dissemination of news by the traditional outlets dominated by the left.
The second:  The election of a president steeped in socialist/Marxist ideology and a Congress controlled by the Progressive element of the Democratic Party.
A trait common to those on the far left is an inability to have any humility; there is an intense conviction of superiority, both intellectually and in their capability to rule the masses. The true believers are incapable of hiding their philosophy and, once elected, are convinced that nearly everyone does or should share their dedication to the power of a central government. Those who do not conform will be demonized. These extremists will move heaven and earth to achieve their ends, regardless of any long-term consequences, and they cannot avoid shouting from the rooftops what they are doing as tribute to themselves.
The determination of Obama and the Congress to exploit the financial and economic crisis and, more recently, the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico in order to pass their agenda has had the effect of kicking over the rocks and exposing for all to see the undermining of the social and fiscal foundation of the nation by the left-wing radicals in Congress, the administration, and many of our institutions.

Repeat after me: November is coming…November is coming…

George Galloway Incites Muslim Crowd With Warning To Infidels: “you will have to fight your way through 10,000 dead bodies…”

Herald Scotland reports:

Police are examining complaints that George Galloway gave an inflammatory speech at a rally attended by thousands of Muslims in which he claimed that far-right English Defence League (EDL) activists would have to fight their way “through 10,000 dead bodies” if they interfered with members of the Islamic faith in Britain.

The Metropolitan Police said officers are now looking into statements made by the left-wing Scottish politician during the speech made to more than 3,000 people at a rally and march in London in June.

The police have video footage of the former Glasgow MP, who is a founding member of the Respect Party, telling the rally: “To the EDL, take a look around you boys. Take a look around you. If you dare touch a hijab [hair cover] on a Muslim woman’s head, if you dare touch the hair on the beard of a Muslim man in Tower Hamlets, you will have to fight your way through 10,000 dead bodies first.”

A police spokesman said: “The complaints have been referred to officers and they are being considered. There is no formal investigation as yet and we are assessing the evidence.”

Footage of the Dundee-born former MP’s speech was also placed online at YouTube under the heading: “Why half a million Brits vote BNP. George Galloway incites race violence.”

Here is the clip:

The man is a menace to society. This, in my opinion, is incitement.

Here’s another video from last month of Galloway speaking to a Muslim crowd about the Israeli blockade on Gaza, saying,  the “Zionist grip on Israel days are  now numbered”, and “I have the earth from the (flotilla) martyrs’ graves in Istanbul still on my shoes, and I will never wash them”:

WTF?

Galloway is no longer an MP in the district so he’s not just pandering ….His rhetoric goes well beyond what you expect from the  leftist/Islamic alliance:
