In related news, via Frugal Cafe, our bridge-building friends at Park51, the developers behind the ground zero victory mosque, have responded to Governor Paterson’s offer to help them find another spot….

Pound Sand:

Paterson said today the group is apparently committed to building in the proposed site. ”I think they would like to stay where they are, and I certainly respect that and I certainly respect them,”  Paterson said.

They certainly don’t respect  us.

Doug Powers: New York Officials Will Not Allow Ground Zero House of Worship to be Built

No, not that one — the mosque is still a “go” of course. This house of worship is a Greek Orthodox church that was destroyed in the 9/11 attacks.
