High noon, boneheads!

That’s right, I said it.

What else can you say about someone who makes a big show of challenging global warming skeptics to a debate, repeatedly changes the rules to make it as nontransparent as possible, then backs out at the last minute, anyway?

This would be hysterical if it wasn’t so pathetic:

Well, high noon came and went, and our eco-warrior was nowhere to be found. Climate Depot reports:

Cameron challenged Andrew Breitbart, Climate Depot’s Marc Morano and filmmaker Ann McElhinney of ‘Not Evil Just Wrong.’ The debate was already in the program for the Aspen American Renewable Energy Day (AREDAY) summit. The website program described the agreed to debate as “AREDAY Climate Change Debate: Reality or Fiction?”

After setting up the public global warming debate, Cameron and his negotiator then changed formats multiple times and initially said it would be open to the media and then said he would only participate if it was private with no recording devices. The skeptics agreed to all the changes. According to AREDAY organizers, activist Joseph Romm of Climate Progress urged Cameron not to go ahead with the debate as well.

Cameron’s cancellation of the agreed to debate did not happen until one debate participant (Morano) was already in mid-air, flying from DC to Aspen on Saturday August 21 to attend the debate. (AREDAY did grant Morano a 90 minute slot to speak at the summit. Apparently, environmentalists “came out of the woodwork” to warn him not to engage in a debate with skeptics because “it would not in his best interest”.

Gee, I wonder, why? Because global warming arguments fall apart when challenged? – They’re not so impressive when they’re put under a microscope? Was Cameron afraid he was going to beclown himself after all his tough talk?

Does it get any lower than that?

As a matter of fact, yes!

James Cameron boldly slammed global warming skeptics as “swine” on the day he was supposed to be debating them. “I think they’re swine”

Al Gore famously refused to debate climate skeptics, as well.

You almost get the impression that liberals don’t really believe half the crap they say.

The Media’s Double Standard In Reporting Ground Zero Rallies

While the MFM habitually makes rash, and incorrect assumptions about protesters on the right, they never seem to capture the radical, and overtly Communist nature of left wing rallies/protests. Why do you suppose that is?

The AP, in its article, Passions rise at dueling NYC mosque demonstrations, painstakingly described the more extreme elements of the anti-mosque rally in NYC, Sunday:

Signs hoisted by dozens of protesters standing behind police barricades read “SHARIA” — using dripping, blood-red letters to describe Islam’s Shariah law, which governs Muslims‘ behavior.

Steve Ayling, a 40-year-old Brooklyn plumber, said the people behind the mosque project are “the same people who took down the twin towers.”

Opponents demand that the mosque be moved farther from the site where more than 2,700 people were killed on Sept. 11, 2001. “They should put it in the Middle East,” Ayling said.

On a nearby sidewalk, police chased away a group that unfurled a banner with images of beating, stoning and other torture they said was committed by those who followed Islamic law.

A mannequin wearing a keffiyeh, a traditional Arab headdress, was mounted on one of two mock missiles that were part of an anti-mosque installation. One missile was inscribed with the words: “Again? Freedom Targeted by Religion”; the other with “Obama: With a middle name Hussein. We understand. Bloomberg: What is your excuse?”

While the right-wing rally, was depicted as drooling, bigoted, rednecks with offensive signs, here’s the treatment the AP gave the left-wing radicals:

At the pro-mosque rally, staged a block away from opponents’ demonstration, several hundred people chanted, “Muslims are welcome here! We say no to racist fear!”

Dr. Ali Akram, a 39-year-old Brooklyn physician, came with his three sons and an 11-year-old nephew waving an American flag. He noted that scores of Muslims were among those who died in the towers, and he called those who oppose the mosque “un-American.”

“They teach their children about the freedom of religion in America — but they don’t practice what they preach,” Akram said.

Gol, it sounds like it was just a heart-warming family affair, from that description. Patriotic Americans who just happen to disagree with 70-80% of Americans on the wisdom of building a mosque that close to ground zero. You would never have guessed the rally was heavily attended by communists spouting anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Because we all know the GZ mosque supporters (lefty and Islamic radicals) are the pro-American ones.

Video: Unable To Answer Question, Counterterrorism Chief, John Brennan Storms Out Of Washington Times Office

When White House counter-terrorism adviser John Brennan visited the Washington Times Editorial Board last June to talk about a June 11 Washington Times editorial he objected to, it didn’t take long for him to get stumped on a question, and cut the meeting short.

The question referred to his definition of (the banned word), jihad, which he claimed, last May, was a “legitimate tenet of Islam”, calling it a “holy struggle.”

According to the MFM, it’s not possible for citizens to oppose the building of a mosque a stone’s throw from ground zero based thoughtful, fact-based analysis. It has to be the result of rank bigotry and ignorance – when they are the ones who aren’t familiarizing themselves with the tenants of radical Islam that could be behind it, they are the ones who refuse to look deeply into any of the organizers’ backgrounds or funding sources. They are the ones who who are unable to come to the obvious conclusion that 70% of us “Islamophobes” (including many Muslims) have come to; an outfit whose goal is interfaith dialogue and bridge-building wouldn’t start a huge, conspicuously controversial project they know will offend a majority of the people with whom they want to be friends. It’s really that simple.

What more do you need to know about these people than when the Governor of NY offered to help them find another location, they weren’t interested? Are we still to believe that their intentions are good?

The latest Rasmussen poll shows that 77% of voters are Islamophobes, while 68% of the political class are tolerant humanists.
