Anyone live within driving distance of Somerset Pennsylvania? It’s a beautiful place to visit and a group of motorcyclists from Indianapolis is already going.
Tom Burnett Senior and Alec Rawls are buying full page color ads in the Somerset Daily American for both Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th, so anyone who makes the trip will have a ready made protest sign waiting for them. Just buy a newspaper, tape the ad to a piece of cardboard, and let the massed national media know what side you are on.
That’s right. With Laura Bush and Michelle Obama both attending, it’s going to be a media circus, and a rare opportunity to force coverage of our issue. Just self-organize. Ad-holders will show a core of united opposition (and the media might even be forced to read our brief expose).
A PDF of the ad will be posted in another blogburst next week for anyone who wants to make signs ahead of time. There is also a set of small posters that were put together for a previous talk by Mr. Burnett. Just print with tiling to make the finished product as large or small as you want:
Board 1: The giant crescent
Board 2: It points to Mecca
Board 3: The gigantic Islamic sundial
Board 4: The 44 glass blocks
Petition to stop the Flight 93 memorial passes 10,000 signatures
Including a spate of dozen or so by 9/11 family members that feature some very strong comments. (See pages 198 and 199.)
It Points to Mecca video nearing 20,000 hits
Thanks to big fat repostings by Creeping Sharia and Atlas Shrugs. Thank You!
Here are parts 2, 3 and 4 (also worthy):
If you haven’t been to Shanksville before, there really is no lovelier place on earth than an open field in that sprawling Sherwood Forest that is Western Pennsylvania. Drink it in. There is something in the air at that patriots’ grave.

I forgot about that one.
It’s been a long-standing custom in Islam to build a mosque wherever they’ve conquered or invaded.
Start with the Dome of the Rock (“a shrine, not a mosque”), built over the place where Solomon’s Temple stood. Here’s a telling quote:
Dome of the Rock, Jerusalem
“Abd al-Malik … wished to erect a beautiful Muslim building that could compete with the majestic churches of Christendom and would be a symbolic statement to both Jews and Christians of the superiority of the new faith of Islam. “His building spoke to Jews by its location, to Christians by its interior decoration.”
The nearby mosque there is the al-Aqsa, built on “the Temple Mount, the holiest site in Judaism, the place where the First and Second Temples are generally accepted to have stood”.
Then there’s the mosque in Damascus:
Umayyad Mosque
“After the Arab conquest of Damascus, the mosque was built on the Christian basilica dedicated to John the Baptist since the time of the Roman emperor Constantine I.”
There are others. Now they want to build two here, to celebrate their attack on 9/11.
If we let them, we deserve the label “dhimmi”. Which in our culture means “dummy”.

I thought I’d mention that I discovered that CJ has scrubbed all of LGF’s archived threads on the Flight 93 memorial.
The question about a code of honor in the blogosphere when it comes to deleting past statements and threads aside, I understand that LGF was one of the major players getting the story out originally. Kinda interesting, if nothing else.

CJ is a persona non grata in our circles.
September, 22, 2010 at 11:27 pm
OK? I don’t think it was always that way, so… you do think its interesting?
September, 22, 2010 at 11:41 pm
Hunh – I got it out of spam, and it appears in the comment queue on the dashboard, but it’s not here.
Maybe it’s incubating for a bit.
September, 22, 2010 at 11:48 pm
In any case, maybe you guys should call him out on it.

Some folks already have. It’s old news, really. CJ ain’t worth my time.
September, 22, 2010 at 11:57 pm
Geoff, is it just me? My spam comments always get kicked into pending when I de-spam them. Then I have to go into pending and de-pend them.
It’s a pain in the a$$ when I get mass amounts of trackbacks from certain blogs that are spammy with their linkage.

Hmmmm. It depends (nyuk, nyuk).
I have no idea. Maybe that’s what happened to CZ’s comments, though I swore I saw it in the comment queue.
I think you ought to kill off all trackbacks in the comment queue – it makes following conversations in the comments really difficult.
September, 23, 2010 at 12:03 am
In any case, maybe you guys should call him out on it.
If you hadn’t noticed, LGF left the ranks of conservatives back in ’08 (I think), and has been at war with conservative blogs ever since. We don’t talk to him, rarely talk about him, and never link him. We’d all be happy to let him do whatever he wants, but he’s got some sort of vendetta.
Not a stable fellow.
September, 23, 2010 at 12:13 am
I kill off all the duplicates and the ones that don’t even pertain to the post linked to, but, if it’s a valid blog, I won’t delete all of their trackbacks. That wouldn’t be very nice.
I just don’t understand the spammy trackback system some of these blogs are using. It takes up my time every day to go through them all.
And you’re right, they tend to gum up the sidebar when there are a bunch of them. I’ve been trying to prune them down.
September, 23, 2010 at 6:00 am
Meh – trackbacks schmackbacks. If they’re gumming up your blog, lose ‘em.
September, 23, 2010 at 6:38 pm
Yeah, I get annoyed when I come by and there are 12 trackbacks in the pending cue. Still, most of the time I think they link back to things the readers might be interested in, and ND didn’t issue any standing orders to whack them, so I usually just approve them.
September, 23, 2010 at 6:39 pm
Maybe if they hit more than one thread, we let one through on the most recent post and delete the rest?
September, 23, 2010 at 6:43 pm
Yes. Sometimes one post will link to up to a dozen of my posts, some of them months old. I whack them all, but the most recent or relevant.
If a link has absolutely no relationship to my post, I whack it. I’m getting sick of this stuff.
September, 23, 2010 at 6:56 pm
Sounds like a plan.
