Video: David Horowitz Confronts Muslim Brotherhood In CPAC Speech

Horowitz spoke on education reform and the Muslim Brotherhood’s infiltration of the United States, and even the conservative movement (including CPAC!) in his Saturday afternoon speech  at CPAC.

The Muslim Brotherhood has been wildly successful in its plan to become part of America’s civil culture and to infiltrate the institutions of America’s civil government, including the White House and both political parties, and the conservative movement as well. Suhail Khan is the proud son of Mahboob Khan and his protégé, as he is also the protégé of the convicted terrorist Abdurahman Alamoudi.

Sponsored by his longtime patron Grover Norquist, who has been a pillar of the conservative movement, Suhail Khan was given a White House appointment in the Bush Administration and facilitated Alamoudi’s access to the president. Suhail then became an Undersecretary of Transportation where he received a top security clearance. With Grover’s support Suhail has also been made a board member of the American Conservative Union and was the moderator of a panel on Religious Liberty yesterday at this event.

Suhail Khan used his offices in the Bush White House with Grover’s connivance to carry water for the terrorist Sami al-Arian in an attempt to ban the use of secret evidence in terrorist trials – a proposal that thanks to Grover’s immense political influence was actually endorsed by President Bush and was only thwarted by the 9/11 terror attacks.

Video: Herman Cain Visits The Bloggers Lounge

Herman Cain graciously took questions from bloggers when he visited the bloggers lounge before his CPAC speech, Friday afternoon. He was asked why he had supported the bank bailout in the Fall of ’08, and Cain forcefully defended his position at the time:

And This Year’s CPAC Miss Congeniality Is….

Congratulations Miss Stephen Kruiser!:

And thank you for keeping your pants on!

Seriously, though.  The flowers were for the for the organizers who did the hard work that made the bloggers lounge possible: Tabitha Hale of Freedomworks, and  Melissa Clouthier (@melissatweets) of Liberty Pundits and Red State, deserve massive kudos along with many other  helpers. The roses were presented by Seton Motley of Newsbusters, Human Events, and Big Government.

UPDATE:

The moment was captured on video, albeit, probably the shortest video in YouTube history:

Video: Ann Coulter Rocks The House at CPAC

Ann Coulter spoke to a full house on Saturday afternoon, day 3 of CPAC. As always, she killed:

There were rumors that she might come and visit us in the bloggers lounge, but alas…it was not to be.

Video of Ann taking questions, (where she makes an unfortunate prediction),  here.

CPAC Day 3: Andrew Breitbart

Andrew Breitbart kicked off the day with the first speech. He had meant to spend most of his time talking about Pigford, but he got a bit off track when he touched on the one of his favorite subjects – left wing rallies.

Parts 2 and 3 can be seen at Marooned in Marin.

Afterward he visited the bloggers lounge, and discussed Pigford at length.

Obama’s Parting Gift To Gibbs

Framed pictures of himself with a tie. As Sarah Palin would say, WTF?!  Gibbs was probably hoping for an ipod with Obama’s speeches:

In explaining the odd gift to the press, Obama referred to himself as “The Gipper”. Oh yes he did – at :51 secs in:

Video: “Great News For The President”

Mubarak resigning was “great news for the President” because everything is all about Obama, don’t you know.

Bullet People created this video to celebrate the moment:

As things stand right now – Herman Cane is my pick for 2012. Listen to this, and tell me if don’t agree:

video via Freedom’s Lighthouse

Cain told a blogger who asked him about his lack of experience in holding public office, “Look at all those folks in DC holding office -How’s that working out for you?”.

Behind The Scenes At CPAC

One of the cool things about being a blogger at CPAC, is the opportunity to meet some of the biggest names in conservatism. You never know who is going to stop by the lounge:

Newt Gingrich, ND

Victoria Jackson, ND

Herman Cain, Anita MonCrief

David Horowitz, with Kathleen McKinley looking on.

Tammy Bruce

Tammy Bruce was going to broadcast her radio show live from bloggers row, but unfortunately there were connection problems, so they had to use a tape. As stressful as that must have been, she handled it very professionally.

Mitt Romney Gives Strong CPAC Speech (Update w/video)

“If I were to run for President….

Is it time to take another look at Mitt? He had mojo this morning at CPAC…He was loose and relaxed, and won the crowd over with great speech with many memorable lines:

About Obama’s head fake to the center, he said: “What we’re watching is not ‘Brave New World”, it’s “Ground Hog’s Day”.

On Obama inviting CEOs to WH for table talk -” I’m sorry Mr President, that’s not an economic policy, it’s a dinner party”.

“These job fairs and lines are President Obama’s Hooverville”

“Obama promised to win the war in Afghanistan as long as we were done by August 2012.”

UPDATE:

Romney says, “I will not apologize”:

UPDATE II:

Trump at CPAC: “By The Way, Ron Paul Can’t Get Elected”

The Donald’s appearance at CPAC, today, was somewhat of a surprise -and I have to say, he gave a pretty decent, if uneven speech.

You certainly can’t accuse the guy of trying to ingratiate himself to the audience:

Those boos were coming from the many young people in attendance  who are Ron Paul fans.

A longer video from that portion of Trump’s speech can be viewed at RCP.

More at Hot Air.

Linked by Michelle Malkin, thanks!

CPAC Day One

I took a 6:00 a.m. flight out of Kansas City, and arrived in DC at around 9:30 – just in time to miss Michele Bachmann’s speech. It took me awhile to get set up in the Bloggers lounge because the internet is really slow. It’s even more crowded than last year, and there are some big names among us.

Robert Spencer and Pamela Geller

Jeff Dunetz  (Yid With Lid) and Jim Hoft (Gateway Pundit)

Duane Lester, All American Blogger

Lee Doren and ND.

Jim Hoft confronted the gorilla in the room at the Citizens United bloggers lunch room.

The CPAC schedule can be downloaded , here.

Mitch McConnell

Newt Gingrich

Rick Santorum

Victoria Jackson visited the bloggers lounge, and graciously took pictures with bloggers. She was selling, “There’ a Communist in the White House tee shirts” in Spanish and English.

See also The Other McCain for more CPAC coverage.

True Bromance: Al Gore Gushes Over Olby

Vapors rise as
Fever settles on an acid sea
Neptune’s bones dissolve

Wow, Al Gore…really, really  likes Keith Olbermann according to The Wrap:

Gore had few specifics about the network’s goals for Olbermann — or how it plans to move beyond the 58 million domestic households in which it is now available. He also declined to get into the extent of Current’s profitability, except to say, “We’re very happy.”

But if Olbermann is getting paid in praise from the former vice president, he’s a very rich man.

How will the network grow with Olbermann? How do you see him increasing your viewership, the way he did at MSNBC?

(To fully appreciate Gore’s answer you have to imagine it in his slow, condescending drawl):

Well, he’s a unique talent and he has a magnetic personaltiy and people form a relationship with him because they know that he is brilliant, they know he is speaking from his heart, they know he has passionate beliefs. He cares about them a lot. And he marries that to his formidable intelligence. And I think people appreciate his authenticity and where he’s coming from. They know he’s for real.

I think it’s no more complicated than that. In television … there’s a kind of an X factor that some people have and some people don’t. And whatever label you put on that he has it in spades. And his audience follows him passionately. That’s pretty unique.

Goodness gracious.  I’m going to go take a shower, now.

Donald Trump On The Laura Ingraham Show: “I’m Pro Life”

Why do I keep hearing Donald Trump on radio talk shows sounding all conservativish, lately? When has Donald Trump ever been conservative?  From what I can remember, he’s always been somewhat to the left on social issues – like abortion, so imagine my surprise when he told Laura Ingraham on her show, today, that he’s pro-life:

Ingraham: You and I disagree on some social issues…

Trump: What social issues do we disagree on?

Ingraham: Pro life, I think…

Trump: I’m pro life.

Ingraham: Oh you are – okay!..

Trump: Oh! You didn’t know that…

Ingraham: No..I thought you were evolving on this a little bit…

Trump: No, no. I’m pro life.

Perhaps he’s had a change of heart on abortion, I wonder …so I search the web for some inkling on that and come up with bupkis.  As far as I can see, he’s always been pro-choice.

I support a woman’s right to choose, but I am uncomfortable with the procedures. When Tim Russert asked me on Meet the Press if I would ban partial-birth abortion, my pro-choice instincts led me to say no. After the show, I consulted two doctors I respect and, upon learning more about this procedure, I have concluded that I would support a ban.

Source: The America We Deserve, by Donald Trump, p. 31-32 Jul 2, 2000

I’d like to hear an explanation for this change of heart. How did his “pro-choice instincts” evolve into “I’m pro-life!”

The On The Issues website calls Donald Trump a Liberal-Leaning Populist. Click for explanation.

Here he is on CNN, supporting  Hillary Clinton and bashing Bush back in 2007  (when it was oh-so fashionable to do so).

Oh, he also recently donated $50,000 to Rahm Emanuel’s Mayoral Campaign.

For me, that’s a WTF moment.
