Chuckie Schumer: To the EXTREME!!! (Updated With Audio)

I know! Let’s call them “extreme!”

This just cracks me up:

Sen. Charles Schumer, D-N.Y., a member of the Democratic Senate leadership, got on a conference call with reporters Tuesday morning without realizing the reporters were already listening in. Schumer thought he was on a private line with four Democratic senators who were to talk with reporters about the current budget stalemate.

Schumer instructed the group, made up of Sens. Barbara Boxer of California, Tom Carper of Delaware, Ben Cardin of Maryland and Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, to tell reporters that the GOP is refusing to negotiate.

He told the group to make sure they label the GOP spending cuts as “extreme.”

“I always use extreme, Schumer said. “That is what the caucus instructed me to use.”

Someone must have finally told Schumer that the media were listening and he stopped talking midsentence.

“I always use the scawwy scawwy wurrd extweem so the Amewican peopo know Wepubwicans bad wike tewowists.
-
Have the Dems’ liberal usage of the word “extreme” to describe Republicans ever not looked like an obvious coordinated messaging effort?
-
Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi aren’t exactly subtle.
-
I’m just tickled to death that these Democrat Socialist dinosaurs got caught in the act of looking so foolish.

FLASHBACK:

video from 10/10: “EXTREME”:

Hat tip Ace, who’s more interested in Schumer’s scheme to shut down the government and blame the (extweem!!!) Republicans.
UPDATE:
Brett Baier covered the phone call on Special Report, Tuesday evening.

When Schumer says, “that’s what the caucus instructed him to do, what caucus do you suppose he’s talking about? The Progressive (Dem Socialist) Caucus?
-
And how about that Howard Dean hoping hoping for a government shutdown,”because we all know who’ll get blamed”.

Careful what you wish for, Howie. Oh, and the MSM isn’t as powerful as they were in in 1995, so you don’t have that going for you either.

MSM Have Described Obama’s Pandering Speeches As Lincoln-esque, Reagan-esque, And Now Kennedy-esque

The Latest Obama Halo effect via Weasel Zippers

Via The  Weekly Standard Blog:Robert Kagan: Obama Delivered ‘a Kennedy-esque Speech':

Robert Kagan roundly praised President Obama for his speech last night on America’s intervention in Libya:

With his speech tonight, President Obama placed himself in a great tradition of American presidents who have understood America’s special role in the world. He thoroughly rejected the so-called realist approach, extolled American exceptionalism….(blablablbala).

Take some Dramamine and continue reading…

In case you haven’t noticed,  Obama has been promoting “American exceptionalism” in his speeches, lately “more than any other President”, the MSM is eager to inform us.

They want you to forget Obama’s true opinion on “American exceptionalism” was offered early on in his Presidency: “I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism, and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism”. That statement along with his worldwide apology tour, created a backlash that probably contributed to a drop in his popularity in the polls.

All other statements he makes on American exceptionalism should be viewed as pandering geared toward 2012..

That was  the case after Obama dissed the flag pin during the 2008 Presidential election. Remember this?:

Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama says he doesn’t wear an American flag lapel pin because it has become a substitute for “true patriotism” since the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.

It wasn’t long after the backlash that ensued, that he was seen everywhere on the campaign trail, proudly wearing his flag pin.

And then there was the case of Obama’s serial omission of “by our creator” when speaking of the “inalienable rights” cited in the Declaration of Independence”. After that caused a backlash on conservative blogs, last year – whoops, there it is! Back in his speeches where it belongs.

For most of Obama’s first two years in the White House, he eschewed church. After a poll came out showing that only a third of Americans believe Obama is a Christian, he reversed course, making several visits to church with his family in a short period of time, which an obliging media covered without cynicism.

After the 2010 election blowout which can only be viewed as  a referendum on Obama’s far left policies, he let it be known that he was reading Ronald Reagan’s biography and conspicuously  signaled that he wanted to be  compared to Reagan.

It wasn’t long before the media obliged, with outlet after outlet cooing that his State of the Union speech was “Reaganesque”.

Before that he was “Lincolnesque”.

Obama rides the rails to DC, packing nation’s hope

Invoking hope and history, President-elect Barack Obama rolled into the capital city Saturday night pledging to help bring the nation “a new Declaration of Independence” and promising to rise to the stern challenges of the times. He kicked off a four-day inaugural celebration with a daylong rail trip, retracing the path Abraham Lincoln took in 1861.

Feh. They may as well start chiseling a fourth fifth head on Mount Rushmore and get it over with.

Zombie: Obama’s Inner Bracket

Zombie says this came to him/her in a flash:

Recently, President Obama picked which teams he thought would advance in the NCAA Basketball Championship, a process known as filling out a bracket. The term “bracket” in this case comes from the shape of the round-by-round elimination chart which tracks which team won in each matchup.

Don’t we all have what is essentially an “inner bracket” which delineates our personal hierarchy of priorities, beliefs, behaviors and traits? If there was a bracket which revealed the inner workings of Obama’s mind, what would it look like? And what trait would emerge dominant?

Click on link to see the excellent graphic. I think you’ll agree with the “dominant trait”.

Paging Van Jones, Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, MSM: Still No Justice For Genuine Cases Of Pigford Discrimination

This is just me doing my part to get this story out, since most in the MSM are curiously uninterested in one of the biggest frauds in U.S. history.

I’m not surprised that Marxist race-hustlers would be adverse to the truth – Pigford is the  massive “redistributive justice” they’ve been wanting for years. This “Reparative economic work” is worth hosing the few genuine victims of discrimination. $50,000  for every person of color willing to fraudulently fill out a form  is their kind of “justice” .

When a group like Color of Change wants to silence investigation into Pigford, it’s farmers like Lucious Abrams they are silencing.

When liberals on sites like DailyKos try to bully Rep. Steve King and Rep. Michele Bachmann with charges of racism, it’s really farmers like Lucious Abrams they are bullying.

What I don’t understand is how the United States media can pretend to be  anything other than craven lapdogs for this administration if they continue to ignore this story because it doesn’t fit their “narrative”.

Why can’t the truth be the narrative just this once?
