Here’s what we know: Through Operation Fast and Furious,and Operation Castaway, the Obama administration has been arming drug cartels with AK 47s and other high powered weapons. The drug gangs have in turn been wreaking havoc all along the border – we’ve been hearing alarming tales of death and destruction for the past two years: Stories that includedaytime shootings on busy streets, massacres inside bars, grisly mutilations andbeheadings.
Uh…Beheadings?
Enter Hamas and Hezbollah who have been coordinating with the drug cartels in what some have taken to callingMexghanistan.
In May, 10 News.comout of San Diego reported on something that has been going on for over a decade:
SAN DIEGO — A terrorist organization whose home base is in the Middle East has established another home base across the border in Mexico.”They are recognized by many experts as the ‘A’ team of Muslim terrorist organizations,” a former U.S. intelligence agent told 10News.The former agent, referring to Shi’a Muslim terrorist group Hezbollah, added, “They certainly have had successes in big-ticket bombings.”
Some of the group’s bombings include the U.S. embassy in Beirut and Israeli embassy in Argentina. However, the group is now active much closer to San Diego.
Ann Barnhardthas developed the horrifying thought further:
There have been numerous, and I mean NUMEROUS, muslim plots to wage Mumbai-style attacks against churches and synagogues that have been foiled and thwarted in the U.S. within the last several years. By “Mumbai-style” I mean muslims walking into churches heavily armed with AK-47s and open-firing on the congregation. This is what they did in Mumbai, India, except that they focused on stations, hospitals, hotels and other public areas. In Mumbai, there were ten discrete attack locations carried out simultaneously. 164 people were killed with 308 wounded. Churches and synagogues have people much more tightly packed than the hotels, hospitals and offices targeted in Mumbai.
A few weeks ago, the “American Al Qaeda”, Adam Gadahn, released a video calling and urging muslims in the U.S. to carry out attacks against “their religion and sacred places”.

Finally, we have the fact of Central and South American Marxists embracing and actively allying themselves with muslim states, led by Hugo Chavez’ strong alliance with Iran. Did you know that Iran has TROOPS stationed in Venezuela, and has promised to arm Chavez, or at least park a nuclear device in Venezuela as soon as possible?
So, the Obama-Clinton criminal machine has been sending thousands – and probably tens of thousands – of AK-platform weapons not only into the hands of the narco-terror gangs in Mexico and Central America, but also into the hands of their muslim allies who have been and will continue to plot Mumbai-style attacks against the U.S.
It’s increasingly looking like Holder will not survive this scandal. Issa has been signalling that the Atty Gen is going down…
Issa said that if Holder did not know about the schemes, Operation Fast & Furious and Project Gunrunner, which saw thousands of automatic weapons end up in the hands of violent Mexican drug lords, he should have done.
“It is almost impossible to believe that everyone, including CBS News and many newspapers and Fox, had reported on Fast and Furious yet Eric Holder still didn’t know anything about it.”
He added, “If Eric Holder knew any significant time before he said he knew – just a couple weeks before he testified before the Judiciary Committee – then he’s in very serious trouble.
If Obama knew about this….he would seem to be in very serious trouble, too.
Not much consolation considering the pain and suffering he’s caused with his abominable policies.
Granted, nobody should believe a single thing Obama says about anything – (including his denials that he knew anything about Fast and Furious), but in light of his press conference today, ahead of his budget negotiations with John Boehner and the Republicans, I thought it would be good to count the ways Obama has been duplicitous and disingenuous in his actions re the economy, (which he really and truly seems hellbent on destroying.) As always with him – you have to look at what he does – not what he says. As the saying goes — if his lips are moving…..
Looking at the details of the big and small deals (to the extent that the reports of those details are accurate of course), suggests to me a rather different turn of events over the past week. President Obama offered Speaker Boehner the president’s own budget outline and called it a compromise.
That would be a combination of the budget no one on either side of the aisle could support back in February, and his speech in April that outlined another budget but did not offer specifics. That’s Obama’s grand compromise – a raw deal that is a hodgepodge of his already rejected proposals that accepts none of the Republican proposals.
As every tea partier knows (it’s why the tea party was born) massive tax increases were planned from the very beginning of Obama’s tenure. Anybody with working brain cells could see that The Food Stamp President always planned to hike taxes to fund his calamitous expansion of government.
And since there’s no telling how long this recession/depression might go on, talking tax increases is a bad idea according to 2009 Obama — just as 2006 Obama considered raising the debt ceiling to be a failure of leadership. 2011 Obama disagrees with both of them.
And last fall, Obama said that we needed to extend Bush’s tax cuts because raising taxes would cost a million jobs.
House Speaker John Boehner said late Saturday that he couldn’t move ahead with a $4 trillion deal because President Obama was insisting on a $1 trillion tax increase, and the White House quickly denounced House Republicans for scuttling debt reduction and preventing “the very wealthiest and special interests from paying their fair share.”
Here’s an idea via Tim Carney of the Examiner, as long as we’re talking about people “paying their fair share”:
…why don’t Republicans declare war on corporate welfare, putting the president in the position of defending his Reverse-Robin Hood policies? Obama wants to soak the rich by raising their taxes? Why not soak big business by taking away their taxpayer-funded goodies?
Start with the handouts such as billions in direct grants, in the name of “green energy,” to big, well-connected companies like Florida Power & Light. Then there are the green energy loan guarantees, also enriching revolving-door lobbyists and Big Business.
Along the same lines, Republicans could block this year’s reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank, a corporate-welfare agency that Obama has been steadily expanding. A majority of all of Ex-Im’s loans and long-term guarantees subsidize Boeing sales. Banks love this agency, too, because it provides private profit and socialized risk.
Imagine Republicans running to protect taxpayers and reduce the debt by abolishing Ex-Im, while Obama stands with Boeing, GE and Halliburton in preserving this Fannie Mae for manufacturers.
Speaking of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, Republicans should try to end those sinkholes. Let Obama, the Realtor lobby and the banks stick up for corporate welfare. Ending ethanol supports would be another no-brainer.
But it’s not just handouts Republicans should target. Many regulations serve as gifts to Big Business and theft from small businesses and consumers.
Rush is pushing his own tax proposals on his show, today, hoping Boehner and Cantor take up his ideas which include increasing taxes on unions.
When the Environmental Protection Agency said in late June that it would force Western coal-fired power plants to install haze-reducing pollution-control equipment at a cost of $1.5 billion a year, it said it had to in order to settle a lawsuit by environmental groups.
One organization involved in the suit, the Environmental Defense Fund, has a long history of taking the EPA to court. In fact, a cursory review finds almost half a dozen cases in the past 10 years.
The odd thing is that the EPA, in turn, has handed EDF $2.76 million in grants over that same period, according to an IBD review of the agency’s grant database.
This strange relationship goes well beyond EDF. Indeed, several environmental groups that have received millions in EPA grants regularly file suit against that same agency…
The EPA even tacitly encourages such suits, going so far as to pay for and promote a “Citizen’s Guide” that, among other things, explains how to sue the agency under “citizen suit” provisions in environmental laws. The guide’s author — the Environmental Law Institute — has received $9.9 million in EPA grants over the past decade.
And, to top it off, critics say the EPA often ends up paying the groups’ legal fees under the Equal Access to Justice Act.
Conservatives never bought Obama’s repeated boasts of being a mega tax slasher: “At least 16 tax cuts to small businesses” were in the Stimulus, he likes to crow. Those tax credits and gimmicks turned out to be largely unhelpful at a time when he was planning massive tax increases in ObamaCare.
The economic ironies are also, well, rich. Mr. Obama is now pushing to reduce the payroll tax by two-percentage points for another year to boost the economy, but he’s already built in a big increase in that same payroll tax for 2013. So if a payroll tax cut creates jobs this year, why doesn’t a payroll tax increase destroy jobs after 2013?
Mr. Obama is also touting spending cuts he’s willing to make in entitlements in return for bigger tax increases, yet the spending increases built into ObamaCare aren’t even up for discussion in the debt-limit talks. The Affordable Care Act adds more than 30 million more Americans onto Medicaid’s rolls, when that program is already growing by 6.5% this year. So Mr. Obama is willing to cut current entitlements on grounds that they are unaffordable, but he’s taken what may be the most expensive entitlement off the table.
Meanwhile, Democrats want to continue the spending spree that got us into this mess…
Omri Ceren at Commentary Contentions asks a good question -if Dems think spending is important to recovery, why do they want to cut Defense? Democrats’ Incoherent Push to Cut Defense:
It’s mindblowing that Democrats simultaneously push for $700 billion in defense cuts while demanding government retain its expansionary spending programs. Those Republicans willing to trade robust national security to avert tax hikes have deeply flawed priorities, but at least these are identifiable priorities that can be debated.
But Democrats are pushing for cuts in military spending while insisting we need more overall spending. They support increased spending because they believe large government outlays – in the Keynesian sense, where we should pay people to dig holes rather than let scared money remain on the sidelines — are good. That belief borders on sheer incoherence. And they’re doing it just as a Democratic President has embraced a doctrine that advocates the use of force, permitting open-ended unilateral warfare, based solely on humanitarian grounds. The president now decides on Tuesdays to go to war on Fridays. So we may actually need some weapons sooner or later.
George Will spoke for manyyesterday in his response to Democrat strategist and ABC contributor Donna Brazile, who predictably blamed the current debt ceiling impasse on Republicans and their refusal to raise taxes:
DONNA BRAZILE, DEMOCRATIC STRATEGIST, ABC AND CNN CONTRIBUTOR: He put it on the table, the Republicans came into the room, got their appetizers and said, “You know what? Main course, we’ll just walk away.” Maybe tonight the President will serve dessert. It’s after six o’clock, George, I should be cooking.
GEORGE WILL: Before we have a moratorium I hope on the can metaphor, let’s look at who’s been kicking the can down the road. Democrats started kicking the can down the road when they stopped writing budgets. The President kicked the can down the road by appointing a deficit commission. Then he kicked it again down the road by ignoring the deficit commission. Then he submitted a budget in February that no one on either side of the House would support that promised to increase the deficit. That’s a lot of kicking. That’s can abuse.
The end game has always been to inflict a European style socialism on the United States. Never mind the fact that Europe is currently imploding under the weight of its welfare state.
Washington can start on the path toward liberating that entrepreneurial capacity by making the right decisions on the debt limit. Higher taxes aren’t the right direction; cutting spending is.
Heritage’s James Sherk and Rea Hederman write that “Creating a hostile or favorable business climate is a policy choice . . . The tax and regulatory burden is a policy choice made by the government. If America creates a French-style social welfare state that erects barriers to entrepreneurship, then America will also get French levels of unemployment.”
America doesn’t have to be France. It doesn’t have to carry a European-style debt and tax burden. But the White House and congressional leaders must choose to enact policies that reject a European-style future.

Boehner laid it all out in his statement broadcast just a few moments ago:
He said Republicans are not against ending corporate tax loopholes (he doesn’t like those either) but is dead set against raising taxes on the job producers. Good and good. He noted that we can’t default on our debt, and is hoping to hash out a deal with the President.
Stiffen your spine, sir.
Obama entire strategy is to make Boehner cave. The 2012 election depends on it.
Obama said in his statement that the American people are too busy with their day to day lives to pay attention to whats going on in the budget talks.
Interesting theory. I can tell you that a perfect stranger that my husband and I shared a table with at the dinner theater last night, was paying very close attention. And he was rooting for Boehner.

For House Speaker John Boehner, the answer is a resounding “No.”
Essentially, their position is that if Republicans won’t agree to raising the debt ceiling and raising taxes, the president will use his discretion to default on US government debt after 2 August. They don’t put it that way, of course, but that’s the reality. If Obama defaults on government debt, it will be because he decided to, not because he had to. He could be impeached for making such a decision.

Economists say high gas prices pose a threat to jobs and our economy, but Washington Democrats are quite comfortable with the pain at the pump: the Obama Administration has consistently blocked energy production that would help lower costs and create jobs.

Cecil is a liberal clod who couldn’t resist the temptation to continue the left’s campaign of demagoguery and demonization of the Kochs in his letter – so his clumsy attempt at sarcasm falls drastically flat.

However, the bigger and more troubling mistake is the long political history of your employer, the Koch Brothers. As a (former?) President Barack Obama just held a Twitter Townhall on #jobs & the #economy, attempting to explain why none of his policies, record spending and unprecedented river of government red tape has helped grow private-sector jobs. With unemployment climbing to 9.2% today (14.1 million Americans unemployed), we put together a #fact check from the #AskObama Twitter town hall. We’d like to #AskObama: where are the jobs?
Here’s another question. Where are the personal sacrifices? Obama likes to tell the American people that “we all need to make sacrifices”,yet where are his?
Nearly 90 percent of President Obama’s domestic travel in the first six months of this year has been either partially or entirely political, and almost all the costs are borne by taxpayers, according to a White House Dossier Analysis.
Since returning from vacation in Hawaii Jan. 4, Obama has embarked on 25 domestic trips involving use of Air Force One. Of the total, 22 have involved either a fundraiser, travel to a presidential battleground state, or both.
Only three times has the president traveled for purely non-political purposes: a trip to visit flooding victims in Tennessee; a visit to New York City to meet with 9/11 families and lay a wreath; and a trip to Albany, New York to speak about the economy.
“Over sixteen million Americans are unemployed. Over thirty million Americans are unable to pursue better jobs because of the failed stimulus and other irresponsible, job-crushing policies. Inflation is rising. Real wages are declining – everywhere except at the Obama White House. To Mr. Obama and Mr. Romney’s big government and bailout banks, this is an economic statistic. To Main Street, this is real suffering. This must and will end.
“Like every one else in this age of international, global competition, big government and the bailout banks must be restructured for the future, and taxation and regulatory reform must be implemented, so our entrepreneurs and workers can immediately grow our economy and commence an era of unprecedented prosperity for the American people.”
– The unemployment rate increased 0.1 percent to 9.2 percent while the labor force participation rate declined to 64.1 percent.
– The report shows a staggering reduction of 445,000 in employed workers.
– The labor force participation rate fell to 64.1 percent, the lowest level since 1984.
– For women 20 or older, the participation rate fell to its lowest level since 1996.
– There was also a surge in the number of unemployed individuals who have been unemployed for less than five weeks.
BONUS: Most of the key items on the President’s agenda raise business costs and discourage expansion, such as…
The health care reform legislation raises the costs of employer-sponsored health insurance;
The new financial regulations make accessing capital difficult for smaller businesses;
The pending Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations of carbon dioxide and coal-fired power plants will raise the cost of energy;
The promised tax increases on successful businesses discourage entrepreneurs from taking risks on new ventures; and
Obama’s activist National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) seeks to foist unions on employers and employees, despite the fact that unionized businesses create fewer jobs.

Updates in this shocking story are coming in fast and furious, now (excuse the pun), and it’s looking increasingly like Eric Holder is going down. In fact, today, Congressman Allen West called for his removal.
During an appearance on the Steve Gill Show, U.S. Rep. Allen West said the roads that appear to lead to those responsible for the botched program that was supposed to trace guns to high-ranking drug lords are alarming.
“This is just another sad chapter in the Eric Holder book of ineptness and incompetence,” West said. “Eric Holder needs to be brought before an investigative committee and if those charges are warranted he needs to be held accountable.
“At least the president needs to realize that Eric Holder needs to be removed from the Department of Justice … or else it appears President Obama is complicit and in approval of the actions of his attorney general,” he said.
And today via Big Government it comes out that Holder knew all about Project Gunrunner, and and is on record bragging about its implementation as far back as April of ’09:
the problem with Holder’s feigned ignorance is that he gave a speechin Cuernavaca, Mexico, on April 2, 2009, in which he boasted about Operation “Gunrunner” and told Mexican authorities of everything he was doing to insure its success.Holder told the audience:
Last week, our administration launched a major new effort to break the backs of the cartels. My department is committing 100 new ATF personnel to the Southwest border in the next 100 days to supplement our ongoing Project Gunrunner, DEA is adding 16 new positions on the border, as well as mobile enforcement teams, and the FBI is creating a new intelligence group focusing on kidnapping and extortion. (Italics mine)
But once the whole thing got crazy, and “Fast and Furious” left Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry dead, Holder and others in the Justice Department went from boasting about such projects to pressuring people like Acting ATF Director Melson to keep their mouths shut.
Melson is on record saying that “Justice Department officials sought to limit and control his communications with Congress.” Moreover, when he saw the storm clouds rising and attempted to reassign “every major official involved” in Operation “Fast and Furious,” Melson said “Justice Department officials directed him and other ATF officials to not communicate to Congress the reasoning behind the reassignments.”

For an additional amount for ‘‘State and Local Law Enforcement Assistance’’, $40,000,000, for competitive grants to provide assistance and equipment to local law enforcement along the Southern border and in High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas to combat criminal narcotics activity stemming from the Southern border, of which $10,000,000 shall be transferred to ‘‘Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, Salaries and Expenses’’ for the ATF Project Gunrunner.
And to think, you guys say the stimulus didn’t produce anything. It produced guns for Mexican drug cartels, didn’t it? Says Ben Domenech, in a stroke of perfect black humor: “Shovel ready.”
Darrel Issa updated America on the explosive scandal on Hannity, last night:
Six months after Rep. Gabrielle Giffords was shot, the White House is preparing to propose some new steps on gun safety, though they’re likely to fall short of the bold measures activists would like to see.
Spokesman Jay Carney said that the new steps would be made public “in the near future.” He didn’t offer details, but people involved in talks at the Justice Department to craft the new measures said they expected to see something in the next several weeks. Whatever is proposed is not expected to involve legislation or take on major issues, like banning assault weapons, but could include executive action to strengthen the background check system or other steps.
“The president directed the attorney general to form working groups with key stakeholders to identify common-sense measures that would improve American safety and security while fully respecting Second Amendment rights,” Carney said Thursday. “That process is well under way at the Department of Justice, with stakeholders on all sides working through these complex issues, and we expect to have some more specific announcements in the near future.”
Of course, as Issa said in the above video, the Obama administration isn’t enforcing the laws we have now:
“there seems to be a ‘don’t bother to enforce at all’ policy, so that disturbs us — that there’s less gun enforcement about illegal gun transactions under an administration that theoretically is more for gun control, and George W. Bush went out of his way to try to help the Mexicans by having a zero tolerance to illegal guns sales that could end up in Mexico.”
Issa noted:
“Under President George W. Bush, U.S. attorneys were even fired for not enforcing guns laws strictly enough.”
THIS IS TREASON. This is the epitome of treason. The Obama/Clinton machine has directly coordinated with outside governments to overthrow the Constitution of the United States, and has facilitated the invasion of the United States by a de facto non-uniformed Mexican military in the form of narco-gangs, who, it is argued, are the real power in Mexico City already.
4. This is also textbook SEDITION. In attempting to create optics that implicated the Second Amendment to the Constitution as being responsible for arming narco-terrorists and the resulting mass murder, the Obama/Clinton machine has engaged in attempted insurrection against the established lawful order, namely the Constitution. They have subversively attempted to stir up rebellion against the Constitution by fraudulently stirring up commotion against the Constitution. This “commotion” took the form of the calculated murder of hundreds of Mexican civilians, law enforcement officers and regular military and the murder of at least two U.S. law enforcement officers.
5. Obama personally acknowledged these acts of treason and sedition when he told Sarah Brady on March 30, 2011 that gun control in the U.S. was coming, but that “we have to go through a few processes. Under the radar.”
On March 30, the 30th anniversary of the assassination attempt on President Ronald Reagan, Jim Brady, who sustained a debilitating head wound in the attack, and his wife, Sarah, came to Capitol Hill to push for a ban on the controversial “large magazines.” Brady, for whom the law requiring background checks on handgun purchasers is named, then met with White House press secretary Jay Carney. During the meeting, President Obama dropped in and, according to Sarah Brady, brought up the issue of gun control, “to fill us in that it was very much on his agenda,” she said.
“I just want you to know that we are working on it,” Brady recalled the president telling them. “We have to go through a few processes, but under the radar.”

The Obama/Clinton machine is trying to gin up a global “cry” in the U.N. for “something to be done” about all of these American weapons, which Obama would then respond to by signing on the Small Arms Treaty in order to “make amends” for America’s crimes against humanity, when in fact the crimes against humanity were carried out BY OBAMA AND CLINTON THEMSELVES. This is all TEXTBOOK Marxist-Alinsky agitation and rabblerousing. The Marxist agitator is specifically tasked with CREATING CHAOS where none existed before, and then leveraging that chaos to advance the Marxist revolution. In this case, the “chaos” is not merely picketing or rallies, but PILES OF DEAD HUMAN BEINGS, killed by narco-terrorists specifically armed by the agitators themselves, Obama-Jarrett, Clinton, Holder and the rest of the regime.

Obama/Clinton are also using Gunrunner to arm Marxist factions who will act AGAINST sovereign, truly free nations that do not fall into line with the Obama/Clinton agenda, in this case the nation of Honduras. This tactic was specifically targeted at Honduras as payback for standing firm on the rule of law and refusing to re-install the Marxist clown, Zelaya, even with Obama and Clinton braying at the top of their lungs that they wanted Zelaya “in”. If I were Honduras, I would consider all of this an act of war against the Honduran people and their constitution. If I were the Honduran president, I would be demanding to meet with, if not deliver an address to a joint session of Congress, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, state governors and anyone else who would listen. The Obama regime has engaged in a shadow war against a free and constitutional Honduras, and must be prosecuted. Viva Honduras Libre! God save the United States of America.
The ABC15 Investigators have linked an additional 43 weapons recovered during a Phoenix traffic stop to the controversial Fast and Furious ATF case. According to court paperwork, Phoenix Drug Enforcement Administration agents discovered the guns in mid-April. They pulled over a vehicle near 83rd Avenue and Interstate 10, near the Phoenix and Tolleson border.

THE WEAPONS RECOVERED
Agents recovered at least 59 weapons during the bust. The ABC15 Investigators found 43 are connected to the Fast and Furious case with certainty.
We reviewed official ATF Suspect Gun Summary documents – a sort of “watch list” for suspicious gun sales and gun buyers. We matched serial numbers within the ATF documents to gun serial numbers contained within the federal court documents.
Most of the recovered weapons connected to the Fast and Furious case included Romarm/Cugir GP-WASR 10/63 UF Rifles and Romarm Cugir Draco pistols. Agents also recovered at least one FN Herstal pistol.
We found evidence that multiple buyers purchased the weapons seized in the bust and some buyers purchased multiple weapons during one sale.
After months of being on the receiving end of countless vicious attacks from the Democrat party, the Koch brothers have received a fund raising letter and call from Patty Murray promising them that a five-figure contribution to the DSCC would garner them a retreat in Kiawh Island with Dem luminaries in September.

Just recently, Senator Reid wrote in a DSCC fundraising letter that Republicans are trying to “force through their extreme agenda faster than you can say ‘Koch Brothers.’”
So you can imagine my chagrin when I got a letter from you on June 17 asking us to make five-figure contributions to the DSCC. You followed that up with a voicemail* indicating that, if we contributed heavily enough, we would garner an invitation to join you and other Democratic leaders at a retreat in Kiawah Island this September.
I’m hoping you can help me understand the intent of your request because it’s hard not to conclude that DSCC politics have become so cynical that you actually expect people whom you routinely denounce to give DSCC money.
It is troubling that private citizens taking part in the discourse have become the targets of White House and DSCC fundraising missives, and we would certainly encourage you to rethink that approach. Ultimately, I expect voters will see through that and will weigh the issues on the merits alone. But in the meantime, if you could provide me some insight on what exactly you are asking of us and why, I would be most grateful.
