Video:Boehner Says House GOP Agrees With Obama – ‘We Can’t Wait’ for Jobs (So SENATE Should Act)

The President and Vice President have been touring  the country pushing Obama’s non starter of a jobs bill, accusing the Republican Congress of “having no plan”, not caring  about the unemployed, not caring if rapes and murders go up, etc, and House Speaker, John Boehner wants the message to go out, that, yes, Republicans do care and do have a plan. And he went after Obama for circumventing Congress for his continued abuse of E/Os on the Laura Ingraham show, this morning.

Speaking at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Legal Reform Summit, Wednesday morning, House Speaker John Boehner highlighted the ‘forgotten 15′ bipartisan jobs bills that have passed the House but are stuck in the Democratic-led Senate.

The House Republicans’ abysmally low approval rating, suggests that Obama’s lying demagoguery has been working, and the Republicans have a messaging problem. But I don’t know what more they could do….

Republicans met with reporters on Tuesday to get their message out, ABC reported:

House Speaker John Boehner told reporters today that he agrees with President Obama’s catchy new slogan ”We Can’t Wait,” and encouraged Senate Democrats to take action on 15 measures languishing in the upper chamber that he says would help get the unemployed back to work.

“The president says we can’t afford to wait,” the Ohio Republican said. “Well guess what? I agree with the president. We’ve got 15 bills that are sitting over in the United States Senate. After we finish this week, there’ll be 16 bills sitting over in the United States Senate waiting for action.

“It’s time for the Senate to work with the House, to work with the president, to help find common ground to move our economy forward and get the American people back to work.”

While “American families and small businesses continue to struggle in this economy,” Boehner added, House Republicans continue to seek common ground with the president “so that we can create a better environment for job creation in our country.”

As of this morning, the number of bills passed had increased to 16, Boehner told  Laura Ingraham on her show, today.

Regarding Obama’s promise to go around Congress on his jobs plan, John Boehner told Laura Ingraham that, “I thought we were a nation of laws and our country was governed by our Constitution.

He went on to note that Article I gives Congress the power of the purse, and the President has powers under under Article II, “so we’re keeping a close eye on the administration  to make sure they’re following the law and following the Constitution.”

Laura asked Boehner whether the President was acting around his constitutional parameters.

He said he had great concerns that Obama may be violating those parameters and exceeding his authority.

“There is an appropriations process under control here, we do have the ability to limit their use of funds to bring this administration to heel.”

He went on to lambaste the President for basically giving up on the economy, American people, and  deciding to quit governing and spend his entire next 14 months campaigning.

Speaking of Obama’s profuse campaigning, WHD reports: Obama Fundraising Tastes Great, But Less Filling:

The president last week took a three-day bus tour through the key battleground states of North Carolina and Virginia. While supposedly a trip to promote his jobs plan, many saw the barnstorming as an obvious de facto campaign swing.

According CBS Radio News White House Correspondent Mark Knoller, Obama has staged 60 campaign fundraisers this year compared to only 28 by Bush by this time in 2003.

And yet, Obama in the first two quarters of his campaign – the second and third quarters of the year – has raised $86.2 million for his campaign compared to $104.2 million for Bush in inflation-adjusted dollars. Bush’s nominal total was $84.5 million.

Paul Ryan’s speech is called “Saving the American Idea: Rejecting Fear, Envy and the Politics of Division“. It’s a great speech as Ryan seeks to dispel this idea of class warfare and the social welfare state and to reinvigorate the idea of the opportunity society. I’ve divided the speech from the Q&A and they are both below. The full text of his speech can be found here.

The bills in the Senate won’t go anywhere, not as long as Dingy Harry and the Democraps are in control because, don’tcha know, they want bipartisan action on all jobs bills (read: they want just Democrap bills) and all these bills from the House are simply Republican efforts to be ideologues and are nothing less than pedagoguery.

My God, how I wish some adult Democrat would step forward and put the country first. That hasn’t happened in at least three decades, so the chances of it happening now are slim but…

Reaganomics became the buzz word of 30 years ago. The tax rates were reeudcd and President Reagan told the nation that the tax savings to the wealthiest members of society would be used to trickle down to the rest of the nation, as the tax savings would be used to start new businesses and hire more employees. The Federal government has kept its side of the deal. The tax rates are now even lower than what President Reagan lowered them to.But, the same is not true of the wealthiest American’s. They have received reeudcd taxes for the past 30 years, but they have dropped the ball when starting new businesses and hiring more employee’s.Here is what I would recommend.Anyone that receives a reduction in tax, as targeted by Ronald Reagan’s Reaganomics, that cannot demonstrate that they have more employees this year than last year is not allowed to use the lower tax rates. They pay taxes at pre-Reaganomics rates with a maximum marginal tax rate of 70%. That would be a good starting point.
