When Is The MSM Going to Condemn Obama’s Enemies List?

Just asking.

Because Obama does have an enemies list– literally.  His Orwellian “Truth Team”  lists on his campaign website  the names of some of Mitt Romney’s biggest donors.

While President Nixon kept his Enemies list secret, Obama’s list is right out in the open and designed to inspire scorn, rebuke and retribution from his minions.

The truth is,  anyone who runs as a Republican or donates to conservative causes can count on being targeted for intimidation by the organized left.

When did this become okay? When did it become okay for the President’s party to attack, insult, and slander private citizens for no other reason than they gave money to his opponent?

When did it become okay for a President to sic government agencies on private citizens who give to the “wrong” campaign?

Via Powerline, Wall Street journal columnist, Kimberly Strassel noted back in April,  the Obama campaign’s alarming and unprecedented conduct:

His campaign brands you a Romney donor, shames you for “betting against America,” and accuses you of having a “less-than-reputable” record. The message from the man who controls the Justice Department (which can indict you), the SEC (which can fine you), and the IRS (which can audit you), is clear: You made a mistake donating that money.

Strassel was apparently on to something. This week Strassel returned to the case of Frank VanderSloot in “Obama’s enemies list — part II.” Mr. VanderSloot is getting the treatment that Richard Nixon could only dream of dishing out to his enemies:

Mr. VanderSloot has since been learning what it means to be on a presidential enemies list. Just 12 days after the [Obama campaign] attack, the Idahoan found an investigator digging to unearth his divorce records. This bloodhound—a recent employee of Senate Democrats—worked for a for-hire opposition research firm.

Now Mr. VanderSloot has been targeted by the federal government. In a letter dated June 21, he was informed that his tax records had been “selected for examination” by the Internal Revenue Service. The audit also encompasses Mr. VanderSloot’s wife, and not one, but two years of past filings (2008 and 2009).

Mr. VanderSloot, who is 63 and has been working since his teens, says neither he nor his accountants recall his being subject to a federal tax audit before. He was once required to send documents on a line item inquiry into his charitable donations, which resulted in no changes to his taxes. But nothing more—that is until now, shortly after he wrote a big check to a Romney-supporting Super PAC.

Two weeks after receiving the IRS letter, Mr. VanderSloot received another—this one from the Department of Labor. He was informed it would be doing an audit of workers he employs on his Idaho-based cattle ranch under the federal visa program for temporary agriculture workers.

Another big Romney donor who has been receiving the Chicago on the Potomac treatment is Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson.

Recently the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee(DCCC)made a whole series of statements saying that Adelson’s money came from ‘Chinese prostitution money’ and essentially branded Adelson as a pimp. The claim was quickly amplified by the Soros media and left wing blogs

Politifact looked the story and labeled it ‘pants on fire’, totally false.

Here’s pro Obama stooge, Sarah Silverman piling on with an incoherent “indecent proposal” for Adelson which involves her molesting a dog on camera.

Breitbart TV calls the website and the campaign launched against Adelson, ” a blatant intimidation tactic against a major Republican donor.”

…the advertisement and website is paid for by the Jewish Council for Education and Research, a federal Super PAC that relies on private funding just like the funding Adelson has pledged on behalf of Mitt Romney. Mr. Adelson was a donor cited in President Obama”s “enemies list” put forth by his campaign highlighting major donors to Republican causes.

As JoshuaPundit reports, Adelson is not putting up with the Alinsky tactics:

…Mr. Adelson, to his credit, has had his lawyers write a letter to the DCCC with an ultimatum – they either retract the lies and issue a public apology – “a prominent statement, in a form approved by Mr. Adelson, retracting and apologizing for your false claims” – or he’s going to sue them for slander.

The letter, can be seen in full here, and it reveals not only the full extent if the egregious untruths that were peddled by the DCCC by the factoid that Sheldon Adelson and his wife, Dr. Miriam Adelson, actually fund a charity dedicated to helping addicted prostitutes get off the streets, get straight and live productive lives.

In Obama’s thugocracy, aka ObAmerica, Dem “trackers” are directed (most likely by the DCCC) to stalk Republican candidates at their homes and places of work, and  take  pictures and video of them to post online.

In a letter to the editor to the Cleveland Plain Dealer,Rep. Jim Renacci (R-OH) wrote:

“Recently, political operatives from the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee kicked down what’s left of the barrier that separates public and private life by posting Internet videos they’d covertly taken of the home where my wife and daughter sleep at night.”

Doesn’t this sorta cross the line, MSM? Shouldn’t it inspire more approbation from the media than the Politico’s weak, tut tutting headline: GOP unnerved by Democrats’ candid camera techniques as if  it were the GOP’s problem – whiners that they are?

In today’s America, you need to just deal with being victimized by creepy Dem stalkers?

And Republican donors just need to deal with being on the President’s Enemies List, targeted for retribution by the President’s henchmen? That’s just the risk they take when they donate to someone OTO (other than Obama)?

In 2012 a President  gets to punish his enemies with impunity?

Is this the new normal MSM?
