Graphic Via Capitol Commentary: As Chick-fil-A Day Goes So Goes the Election?
More and more I’m hearing conservatives expressing their expectation that the 2012 election is going to be a watershed event. Americans are fed up with daily outrages coming from our FUBAR President and they are hunkering down until the November election at which time they will be stampeding to the polls to vote him out.
You don’t see this in the corrupt polls that oversample Democrats. You don’t see this in the ObaMedia coverage of the campaigns, which try to paint Romney as an elite, gaffe prone tax cheat. After nearly four years of Obama’s corrupt crony-Socialist/fascist thugocracy, Americans have had it. They will take Romney, warts in all.
The first person I heard express this opinion was Dennis Miller a few weeks ago on the O’Reilly Factor. I can’t find the video, or even a transcript from the show, but I was very intrigued by Miller’s sense of how things were going to go, this November. He said he thought people would be surprised because he was perceiving that something big was brewing in this country. We saw indications of it in Governor Walker’s unexpected blow-out recall victory in Wisconsin, last June, he noted.
Rush, reveling in the Chick Fil A revolution earlier this week, said that it was a taste of what we will be seeing in November:
“So on August 1st, the Chick-fil-A revolution supporting the right to voice your religious beliefs and August 1st also the beginning of Obamacare mandating that religious institutions violate their religious beliefs by providing birth control and drugs that facilitate abortion against their religious beliefs,” Limbaugh said. “August 1st, what a profound day in history.”
Limbaugh added that it was only a taste of the election response in November.
“There is an explosion waiting to happen in this country. People are fed up, and this is a sign,” he said. “I’ll tell you what’s gonna happen on November 6th. Obama’s gonna get Chick-fil-A’d himself.”
More along those lines from Wayne Allyn Root at Fox News, Obama — what the mainstream media is missing:
The mainstream media still doesn’t get it. They are too busy trying to make a big issue out of Romney telling the truth about the London Olympics and the Israeli/Palestinian conflict. It really is hilarious. The lamestream media is truly clueless.
They think Romney’s tax returns are a big issue, while real people just don’t care. As a matter of fact this Vegas oddsmaker will bet real money that far more Americans care about Obama’s mysterious past — including his birth certificate, Social Security number, and sealed college records — than Romney’s tax returns.
Here’s what the clueless biased frauds in the national media are missing: President Obama has alienated patriotic, church-going, middle America. And with every move, he makes it worse. You see Obama doesn’t understand science — for each reaction, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Obama keeps trying to bribe his voters. But the harder he tries…the worse he alienates middle class Americans.
Did the media not notice that Obama demanded Catholic institutions violate their own sacred moral values to provide contraception for women? Well Catholic voters sure noticed. I predict Catholic voters will provide a huge edge for Mitt Romney.
Did the media not notice Obama trying to dismantle work requirements for Americans on welfare? I guarantee you that middle class Americans who work for a living noticed.
Did the media not notice Obama teaming up with the president of Mexico to ask more illegal aliens inside America to apply for food stamps? I guarantee you that middle class Americans who work for a living noticed.
Did the media not notice that Obama gave amnesty to one million young illegal immigrants – adding them to a tight workforce to compete with legal Americans for jobs…in the middle of a Great Depression. I guarantee you that middle class Americans who work for a living noticed.
Did the media not notice that after Obama’s Supreme Court health care victory, several new reports emerged proving the cost of ObamaCare is far higher than advertised by Obama. Or that several companies have announced they will not build new plants because of the cost of Obamacare? I guarantee you that middle class Americans who work for a living noticed.
Most remarkably, is it possible that the media did not notice that Obama created a new government department last week just for African American students? Are you kidding me? An Executive Order to benefit one race of students? Can you even imagine Mitt Romney announcing an Office of White Education? Or how about an Executive Order by Romney to create The Office of Mormon Education? Can you imagine the outcry from the liberal media?
But the mainstream media said nothing about Obama’s new Executive Order. Zero. Zip. Nada. They ignored one of the most blatant acts by any president in modern American history. A game changer. I guarantee you middle class white American parents noticed. The latest Rasmussen poll shows Romney up by 20 points among white voters. Coincidence?
And Jack Wheeler at To the Point News: THE CULTURAL REVOLUTION OF THE RIGHT:
…OK, so now you get that yesterday at a thousand or more Chick-fil-A’s was the start of something fundamental, a catalyst for the pent-up revulsion so many millions feel towards the Scumbag Left. We are seeing something emerge that’s more than the putative issues driving this election – the economy and jobs, as important as those are. We are seeing the emergence of a Cultural Revolution of the Right.
Thus this election of 2012 may be more transformational than we thought. Last June, we discussed Will Romney Be Our FDR? In 1932, FDR effected a basic transformation in the relationship between Americans and their government. Today, 80 years later, that transformation has run its course, it’s broke, obsolete, can’t solve any of today’s problems (indeed, it’s become the cause of our political problems), and is dying.
Thus Romney has the opportunity to effect a political transformation similar to FDR’s in form and opposite in direction – the direction towards the freedom to prosper and Constitutional government.
Yet that is a political and economic transformation, which though hugely important, doesn’t ring folks’ limbic bells. Their culture does, wherein lies their basic values, what gives their lives meaning and a sense of identity. Which is why the Left’s assault on America starting in the 60s was called the Cultural Revolution, as it was not primarily about political or economic power but cultural power, gaining control of America’s cultural institutions.
And it succeeded. The Left has held monopoly power over almost all of America’s central cultural bastions for at least 40 years now – movies, plays, music, art, museums, literature, literary magazines, all of academia from K-12 through college, television, and of course, the propaganda organ of the Left, the BM (Big Media).
It’s time to bust this monopoly. The New Media, from talk radio to conservative websites (like To The Point!) to social networking, has led the way. We are now on the cusp of turning November 2012 into a transformational election politically, economically, and culturally.
Romney, I am becoming more and more convinced, is going to win in a landslide. The latest indication is Ted Cruz’s blowout Tea Party win in Texas on Tuesday (7/31). Zero will be lucky to carry a dozen states. His loss will be a mortal blow to the Left’s cultural dominance.
It will take a long time to complete a conservative “march through the institutions,” but in November 2012 it will begin. In truth, it began yesterday with a million folks eating a chicken sandwich.
Remember, if we crush them in numbers, they can’t steal it.

It is starting to look good for our side. But it ain’t over until the vote count is released – and what really counts is who counts the votes, who mistakenly sends a truckload of votes to the wrong place, who miraculously finds a truckload of votes for their side, and how successful they are at screwing up the military absentee vote.
Among other things.
They’re not going to do down gracefully. Our side, and Romney’s people, have got to ramp up the tempo, start hitting harder.
Rush made a good point about Dingy Harry this morning: as a Senator, he can’t be sued – for anything.
Given his friends in Congress, he probably won’t be investigated – for anything.

And in the words familiar to those who attend the church I attend, “Can I hear a loud ‘Amen!’ to that?”
