Thursday Links: Okay, Let’s Debate Abortion

Image via Jill Stanek, August 2009: Barack Obama pro-infanticide media coverage

Gateway Pundit is clearly worried about this developmentIt Begins… Sandra Fluke & Obama Use Todd Akin to Trash Romney-Ryan & Raise Cash

Thank You Todd Akin.
Thank You Akin campaign media consultant, Rex Elsass.

The Obama Campaign used radical activist Sandra Fluke tonight to tie the Romney-Ryan ticket to Todd Akin and their “war on women.”
Let’s pray Todd Akin reads this and has a change of heart. We all appreciate Todd Akin’s service but now he it taking down the Romney-Ryan ticket and the country with him.

The question is –  won’t most voters be be able to see through this ridiculous, political ploy? The entire party has forcefully condemned Akin’s foolish remarks and asked that he step down. Trying to tie the Republican party to Akin now, looks desperate, cynical and dishonest – per usual.

In a country that leans pro life, how well is this going to work out for the Obamacrats:

The Lonely Conservative: “Democrats Finally Come Up With Convention Theme – It’s An Abortion Festival!

Rep. Todd Akin made some unfortunate comments the other day and he was immediately denounced by all but three American Republicans. So now the Democrats have decided to make Akin the theme of their convention. You would think they would have already had a theme by now, since the convention is less than two weeks away. But it can’t be about their record, so they’re going with the guy who the Republicans are having nothing to do with. Talk about desperate. They’re turning the convention into an abortion festival.

I frankly welcome the opportunity to remind voters just how far on the extreme left this pro-infanticide president is. In fact, there will be many posts written on our side reminding voters how extreme he is.

In fact, today, NRO editor Rich Lowry ventured into enemy territory –   The Politico – to do just that:

The Democrats and the press habitually travel in a pack, but never more so than when a social or cultural issue is involved, especially one touching on sexual morality. Then, it’s not a matter of mere partisanship or a rooting interest. It’s personal.

From a strictly down-the-middle, neutral perspective, if one side of a debate is “extreme,” the opposite and countervailing side is equally “extreme.” It would never even occur to the media to apply this standard to abortion. Under the guise of upholding abortion rights, Barack Obama could favor denying legal protection to babies after they are born and the press wouldn’t bat an eyelash. In fact—he did.

In the Illinois legislature, he opposed the “Born-Alive Infants Protection Act” three times. The bill recognized babies born after attempted abortions as persons and required doctors to give them care. Obama’s stalwart opposition to the bill came up during the 2008 campaign, and his team responded with a farrago of obfuscation and distortions.

The bill was supposedly redundant. Except it wasn’t. Protections for infants who survived abortions were shot through with loopholes, which is why the bill was offered in the first place. (Abortion doctors were leaving infants to die without any care.) The bill was supposedly a threat to abortion rights. Except it wasn’t. Obama opposed a version that stipulated it didn’t affect the legal status of infants still in the womb.

About a year after his final vote against the bill, Obama gave his famous 2004 Democratic convention speech extolling post-partisan moderation. But he couldn’t even bring himself to protect infants brutalized and utterly alone in some medical facility taking what might be only a few fragile breaths on this Earth. Some moderation. The federal version of the bill that he opposed in Illinois passed the U.S. Senate unanimously. Some post-partisanship.

President Obama is an extremist on abortion. He has never supported any meaningful restriction on it, and never will.

Niiiice.  Read the whole excellent piece.
I would also remind voters about how he shamefully defended his sick, pro infanticide position.
At The American Spectator, Jeffrey Lord makes note of the awkwardness of having serial-groper/legitimate rapist, Bill Clinton as keynote speaker at the Dem Convention in the year of  The Republican War on Women™:

“He told me, ‘We’re both married people,'” she recalls. She recalls, too, that in her effort to make him see she had no interest of this kind in him, she told him yes, they were both married but she was deeply involved with another man–which was true. She was talking about the man she would marry after her divorce, David Broaddrick, now her husband of 18 years.

The argument failed to persuade Mr. Clinton, who, she says, got her onto the bed, held her down forcibly and bit her lips. The sexual entry itself was not without some pain, she recalls, because of her stiffness and resistance. When it was over, she says, he looked down at her and said not to worry, he was sterile–he had had mumps when he was a child. “As though that was the thing on my mind–I wasn’t thinking about pregnancy, or about anything,” she says. “I felt paralyzed and was starting to cry.”

As he got to the door, she remembers, he turned. “This is the part that always stays in my mind–the way he put on his sunglasses. Then he looked at me and said, ‘You better put some ice on that.’ And then he left.”

Doug Ross chimed in with: Exclusive, must credit Biff Spackle: Paula Jones, Kathleen Willey, Juanita Brodderick to hold RNC panel discussion on protecting women from predators

Just kidding. But wouldn’t it be appropriate?

Not to get too hung up on The Senate Candidate Who Shall Not Be Named™, but the fact that a disbarred, impeached, admitted pervert — who was accused of rape by one woman, sued for molestation by another, publicly accused of fondling another, and who, eh, gave a cigar to an intern in the Oval Office — is the keynote speaker at the Democrat National Convention is highly relevant to this discussion?

Gateway Pundit: Mark Levin Calls On Obama To Yank Abuser Bill Clinton As Keynote Speaker At DNC (Audio):

Conservative radio host called on Obama to yank serial woman abuser Bill Clinton as keynote speaker from the DNC lineup.

Life News:    Forget Akin, Obama Ignored Planned Parenthood Sex Trafficking Videos:

While the media and abortion advocates use controversial comments from Todd Akin for political gain, pro-life advocates say the Obama administration is where fingers should be pointed when it comes to women and rape.

They are bringing up the fact that the Obama administration, last year, ignored the potential crimes shown in videos showing Planned Parenthood centers helping undercover investigators posing as sex traffickers.

The videos showed Planned Parenthood abortion centers in three states and the District of Columbia assisting alleged sex traffickers in arranging abortions and STD testing for underage girls victimized by the sex trade. One Planned parenthood staffer was fired in New Jersey over her actions logged on camera and the House of Representatives approved an amendment de-funding the national abortion business.

The FBI launched an investigation after Planned Parenthood tipped off the federal government before the release of the videos in an action that Live Action founder Lila Rose said was an attempt to cover itself before the national controversy began over the actions of its employees.Yet Attorney General Eric Holder said the Obama administration would not prosecute anyone involved in assisting the alleged sex traffickers

Meanwhile, Gateway Pundit seems to be on a one man mission to hound the terminally dense and delusional Akin out of the race.

Washington Free Beacon: Obama: I’m Usually Most Interesting Person:

Barack Obama is introducing some humility to his campaign.

Obama glad-handed with about 120 donors, including failed baseball player Michael Jordan and noted anti-police activist Carmelo Anthony on Wednesday.

“It is very rare I come to an event where I’m like the fifth or sixth most interesting person,” he said. “Usually the folks want to take a picture with me, sit next to me, talk to me. That has not been the case at this event and I completely understand.”

One of the “interesting” people Obama Fundraised with is the Maker of Pro-Drugs ‘Stop Snitchin’ Video:

This evening in New York City, President Obama will be fundraising with “NBA heroes,” according to his spokesman. Those “heroes” include Michael Jordan (who is also a failed baseball player), Patrick Ewing, Alonzo Mourning, and, perhaps most interestingly, Carmelo Anthony.

Anthony helped make the pro-drugs YouTube video called “Stop Snitchin.”

Isn’t that special? See link for more…

Not to be out-done, First Lady, Michelle Obama is doing her own fundraising with sketchy characters.

CNS News: Michelle Obama ‘Guest Editor’ for Website Featuring Sex Tips–Including from Prostitutes:

(CNSNews.com) – First Lady Michelle Obama this week is serving as guest editor for iVillage.com, NBC’s “community of online women” that offers sexually explicit material, including graphic sex tips from prostitutes, “20  kinky things you SO can do,” and a list of “naughty” apps for mobile devices.

That’s very special, too!

HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS — PJ Media has obtained exclusive hidden camera video that shows a county crime analyst admitting that the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office fakes its crime statistics. The fake stats tell a story that ends up benefiting the local agencies that clamor for federal law enforcement grants, while helping Washington sell its story that the border is safer than it really is.

In what appears to be a preview of the race-obsessed, biased “news reporting” of the future, two college students, AJ Vicens & Natasha Khan, manage to further the partisan agenda of vote fraud deniers while languishing over imagined racial injustice.

Their article, “Voters feel intimidated by election observers,” published in the Tucson Sentinel, targets the Houston-based group True the Vote. According to these reporters, the group implements intimidation tactics such as strategically placing white people with pencils in black neighborhoods. They claim that these intimidating soccer moms, dads, and grandmas are part of a gang of election observers that True the Vote plans to place across the country.

They further state:

Since 2010, 37 state legislatures have passed or considered such laws, championed by conservative activists, including True the Vote. Critics claim these new restrictions could suppress the votes of millions of people, especially minorities, across the country.

With little evidence or statistics on the number of actual minorities disenfranchised by the efforts of groups like True the Vote, the young reporters rely on exactly what they accuse the group of using — anecdotes. One source cited in the article claims intimidation exists when a white person is passive in a room filled with blacks.

Noted climate hoaxster engages in LAWFARE! against major conservative journal, NRO.

Rich Lowry responds: Get Lost:

So, as you might have heard, Michael Mann of Climategate infamy is threatening to sue us.

Mann is upset — very, very upset — with this Mark Steyn Corner post, which had the temerity to call Mann’s hockey stick “fraudulent.” The Steyn post was mild compared with other things that have been said about the notorious hockey stick, and, in fact, it fell considerably short of an item about Mann published elsewhere that Steyn quoted in his post.

So why threaten to sue us? I rather suspect it is because the Steyn post was savagely witty and stung poor Michael.Possessing not an ounce of Steyn’s wit or eloquence, poor Michael didn’t try to engage him in a debate. He sent a laughably threatening letter and proceeded to write pathetically lame chest-thumping posts on his Facebook page. (Is it too much to ask that world-renowned climate scientists spend less time on Facebook?)

The Other McCain: President of a Black Fear:

When I glanced at Memeorandum and saw the headline, it was impossible to suppress my groaning weariness with the worn-out theme:

Fear of a Black President
– Ta-Nehisi Coates, The Atlantic Monthly, September 2012

Show of hands: Nearly four years into the Age of Obama, is there anybody — anybody – interested in reading a 9,582-word “What It Means” essay about the racial significance of Obama’s presidency?

Would you be more interested if I told you that Ta-Nehisi Coates uses the Trayvon Martin shooting as the contextual prism through which he seeks this wisdom? Would your interest be whetted if I told you that Coates name-checks a list of right-wing villains — Newt Gingrich, Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, etc. — en route to a rather nebulous conclusion about the persistence of white racism as the dominant and defining reality of America’s past, present and future?

Admit it, honky: You don’t want to read it.

Oh my dayum – Stacy is so right. But you do want to read the rest of  his piece about it.

Katie Pavlich, Townhall: Fast and Furious: DOJ Inspector General Report Delivered:

According to sources, the long awaited Department of Justice Inspector General Report on Operation Fast and Furious has been delivered to DOJ “shot callers,” including Attorney General Eric Holder, this morning. It will be reviewed today and in the coming weeks. No cell phones, Ipads or computers are allowed in the review room. After it is reviewed, it will be released to the public in 30 days.

Keep in mind, the DOJ Inspector General up until May was Cynthia A. Schnedar. Schnedar served under Holder during his time as the U.S. Attorney for D.C. In May, Schnedar was replaced with Michael Horowitz, who sources say is an “even handed” guy. The bulk of the IG report throughout the past 20 months was done by Schnedar.  Holder called for an IG investigation into Fast and Furious in early 2011.

Two weeks ago, one ATF official heavily involved in Fast and Furious jumped ship to save his pension. Others are currently looking to do the same. According to a new report today, one embattled ATF official who is now in charge of the ATF Office of Professional Responsibility, Bill McMahon,  has been receiving taxpayer money through his six figure salary and money through private payments at J.P. Morgan as he’s been on extended leave from the bureau. Chairman of the House Oversight Committee Darrell Issa and Ranking Member of the Senate Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Acting ATF director Todd Jones about the situation today while also slamming Jones for failing to bring a change of culture to ATF.

Expect a whitewash…

Washington Times: Immigration agents sue to stop Obama’s non-deportation policy:

Saying they’re fed up with being told they can’t do their jobs, 10 immigration agents on Thursday sued the Obama administration to try to halt the president’s new non-deportation policy and an earlier memo instructing them not to go after rank-and-file illegal immigrants.

The lawsuit, filed in a federal court in Texas, adds a legal controversy to the political fight that has been brewing over President Obama’s immigration policies, which have steadily narrowed the range of immigrants the government is targeting for deportation.

The 10 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents and deportation officers said Mr. Obama’s policies force them to choose between enforcing the law and being reprimanded by superiors, or listening to superiors and violating their own oaths of office and a 1996 law that requires them to put those who entered the country illegally into deportation proceedings.

Upping the ante, the agents are being represented by a high-profile lawyer, Kris W. Kobach, secretary of state in Kansas and the chief promoter of state immigration crackdowns such as Arizona’s tough law.

“ICE is at a point now where agents are being told to break federal law, they’re pretty much told that any illegal alien under age of 31 is going to be let go. You can imagine, these law enforcement officers are being put in a horrible position,” Mr. Kobach said.

Stop the ACLU: Surprise! Obama Dumps Precedent To Try And Ruin RNC:

Gee, Team Obama being rude and doing things differently? Who’d have guessed? Last go around, Obama broke precedent, and his promise, and refused to take the public funding for the general election. This go around

(The Hill) Bucking protocol, President Obama and the Democrats are planning a full-scale assault on Republicans next week during their convention.

Presidential candidates have traditionally kept a low profile during their opponent’s nominating celebration, but Democrats are throwing those rules out the window in an attempt to spoil Mitt Romney’s coronation as the GOP nominee.

President Obama, Vice President Biden and leading congressional Democrats have all scheduled high-profile events next week to counter-program the Republican gathering in Tampa.

Even first lady Michelle Obama is in on the act, scheduling an appearance on the “David Letterman Show” smack in the middle of Romney’s nominating bash.

Zilla of The Resistance: Obama Bites the Hands that Fed Him – Big Donors Get Big Diss:

Narcissists are not generally known for their good etiquette, so this article at The New Yorker (of all places) illustrating Obama’s ingratitude to his past big money donors, and the ButtHurt that those donors are now suffering from, should come as a surprise to only the most delusional of Obama fans. Here are some highlights:

Top Obama donors began grumbling on the first day of the Administration. “The swearing-in was the beginning of pissing off the donors,” a longtime Washington fund-raiser says. “During the inaugural weekend, they didn’t have the capacity to handle all the people who had participated at the highest levels, because there were so many.” One middle-aged widow, from whom the fund-raiser had secured fifty thousand dollars, got four tickets to the swearing-in, but none of them were together. “She was so offended!” the fund-raiser says. “And I got no credit, by the way, for bringing her in. Important donors need to be cultivated so that they’re there four years later.”

As the Washington fund-raiser sees it, the White House social secretary must spend the first year of an Administration saying, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Instead, the fund-raiser says, Obama’s first social secretary, Desirée Rogers—a stylish Harvard Business School graduate and a friend from Chicago—made some donors feel unwelcome.

Caffeinated Thoughts: Catholics Shift Away from Obama, Democratic Party:

Catholics are a major voting block, and one that can’t be pigeonholed by Republicans or Democrats.  A recent NPR segment compared Vice President Joe Biden with the presumptive Vice Presidential nominee, Congressman Paul Ryan.  Both are Catholics, but their worldview is not the same.

AoSHQ: Buzzfeed: Romney’s Welfare Ad Is a “Nod” To The Idea That There is a Coming “Race War,” An Idea “Percolating” In Conservative Media:

The entire article is ludicrously slanted, but that’s just par for the course on Buzzfeed. They claim it’s “nonsensical” to say Obama’s order to permit states to remove the work requirement from welfare undermines the law’s mandate of a work requirement for welfare.

Oh, the writer doesn’t say “nonsensical” himself, of course; rather, he permits an ObamaBot to say it, with no contrasting quote — from, say, Mickey Kaus — to indicate it’s not nonsensical at all.

In an article about a percolating “race war” — hang on, we’ll get to that in a moment — the writer also “forgets” to mention Joe Biden’s “They gon’ put y’all back in chains.”

But that’s not the most egregious part of the article. I would permit that absurd liberal bias from the amateur webzine Buzzfeed without comment — they just does what they does, eh?

Okay, let’s debate child rape and how Democrats protect it…

Moe Lane: #rsrh Virginia Democrats voted to shield pedophiles. #truthteam

You want to play games, Democrats? You want to be able to tar as many Republicans with your brushes as you can? …OK, fine, if that’s how it’s going to be.  We can play a game.  Hey, here’s a fun one: it’s called “Let’s talk about the Democrats who fought to protect people who rape kids.”

In March, the Virginia state legislature overwhelmingly passed a law that imposed automatic life sentences for any adult convicted of raping a child under the age of 13. The issue received scant attention and even less debate, according to Delegate Rob Bell (R.,Charlottesville), the bill’s sponsor.

“More than half of all rapes in Virginia are to children under 13,” he said. “In the past two years we had 228 offenders, only 10 got life sentences. They were appallingly short.”

Twenty-one state senators and delegates, all Democrats, voted nay on the bill, including a handful of prominent Obama supporters.

Bless their hearts.

You really need to keep reading that one.

Cool new website to check out: The Anonymous Conservative:  Understanding Political Thought Through Evolutionary Psychology:

To my eye, it is inherently clear that this r/K divergence is the origin of our political divide. Indeed, while policy proposals from Conservatives are predicated upon the premise that resources are inherently limited, and individuals should have to work and demonstrate merit to acquire them, Liberals advocate on behalf of policy proposals which seem to be predicated upon an assumption that there are always more than sufficient resources to let everyone live lives of equal leisure. To a Liberal, any scarcity must clearly arise due to some individual’s personal greed and evil altering a natural state of perpetual plenty.

Here, we see how these two deeply imbued psychologies generate grossly different perceptual frameworks within those who are imbued with them. Just as a Liberal will never grasp why a Conservative will look down upon frequent promiscuity and single parenting, the Conservative will never grasp why the Liberal will be so firmly opposed to free market Capitalism, or the right to self defense when threatened. Each sees an inherently different world, and is programmed to desire an inherently different environment.

r/K Theory is not the whole story however, it is merely the beginning. In the book, after explaining the mechanisms behind r/K Selection, we will examine just how these psychologies were further molded. We will begin by examining how the r/K divergence has evolved into a more complex Competitive/Anticompetitive psychological divergence in other species. We will then examine how these two psychologies, thrown into the group Competitive environment will further evolve to exploit this environment for gain. We will then examine studies of the genetics of politics. There, we will shed light on just how each behavioral trait is likely encoded within the genome, and how these two strategies are actually attempts by genetic alleles to dominate the population by subduing their genetic competition.

The Daily Mail: It’s ADMIRAL McRaven, Mr President! Obama botches rank of top Navy SEAL:

  • President’s latest slip-up was calling Admiral William McRaven a general
  • Comes days after he and Ohio State University students spelled Ohio ‘O-I-H-O’

Perhaps most seriously, however, was Obama’s slip in an interview with KSDK in St Louis, Missouri when he was asked about the new 22-minute film ‘Dishonorable Disclosures’ by a group of former Special Forces troops and intelligence operatives.

‘I won’t take this film too seriously,’ he responded. ‘I gather that one of the producers is a birther who still doesn’t think I was born in this country.

***
You’ve got one who was a candidate, a Republican candidate for office. And a proud card carrying member of the Tea Party. So this is obviously a partisan film.‘I’d advise that you talk to General McRaven, who’s in charge of our Special Ops. I think he has a point of view in terms of how deeply

I care about what these folks do each and every day to protect our freedom.’

The difficulty with this is that William McRaven is and admiral not a general. As a SEAL, he is member of the US Navy, not US Army or US Marines.

Obama has made mistakes with military terminology before. In February 2010, he mispronounced ‘corpsman’ – as ‘corpse-man’ instead of ‘core-man’ several times.

Last year, he mixed up two Medal of Honor recipients, saying that ‘Jared Monti, was the first person who I was able to award the Medal of Honour to who actually came back and wasn’t receiving it posthumously’.

  2. Let me see, I hope I have this right. The dims, at their nomination convention is promoting “The Year of the Woman” by:

Making the keynote speaker a Disbarred Lawyer, who was actually accused of raping a woman, and just so happens to have impeccable credentials of abusing such woman as a serial offender [but not his wife, as far as we know].

Invite a prominent representative of planned parenthood, Cecile Richards who survives on federal funding [according to themselves] so that they can provide abortions to minority woman, especially black woman. Where 60% of black fetus’s are aborted. Oh, and let’s not forget ole Nancy Keenan, of naral pro choice of America. Which really means “Murder Inc.”.

They also invite a thirty something year old [been in college for a while now. no?] wanna be dimocrap and attorney named Sandy Slut Fluke who by her own testimony cannot manage to keep her legs closed, who wants you and me to pay for her proclivity for sex. Who claims when she received the phone call from the White House to speak, . . . . . . she was in the middle of [ta-daaaa] passionate sex. Now, I don’t know about anyone else, but this Gurl really gets around and around and around and around some more. Somehow she has managed to keep from getting pregnant so far, so why does the taxpayer have to start paying for her proclivity now? Or is somebody afraid that by the time she manages to graduate Law School, she’ll sue us, after she joins the aclu? Is that the problem? And exactly what is her expertise [besides getting laid]?

Don’t forget a desperate housewife, who is a card carrying member of the phi-beta-kappa club and who played a whore on television, screwing everything in the surrounding 3 counties and twice on Sunday. Watta role model.

One big happy family all to re-nominate a clown that believes in infanticide. Who doesn’t believe that even when a “FETUS” manages to survive a abortion and possibly a Vacuum cleaner that was trying to suck it’s brains out. If that fetus/baby manages to survive and is born alive [imagine that], the infant can be cast to the side and allow to die without any medical attention being called to save it. Now that’s what I’d call “Gutsy”.

Ladies and gentlemen let me introduce to you the new and current dimocrap party and their fearless leader, their candidate for the Presidency of these here United States . . . . . . barack obama.. . . . . . they gutsy leader who killed osama bin laden and a untold number of poor defenseless infants. Welcome to the dimocrap party “Year of the Woman” where you won’t find any Republicans [thank God for that]!
