Morning Joe: Obama Proved SNL Was Right With ‘I Changed The Law’ Admission (Video)

Joe Scarborough was all giggles on MSNBC’s Morning Joe, Wednesday, reacting to King Obama’s admission yesterday that he did in fact take “an action to change the Law” rather than enforce a current law with his executive edict on immigration. Scarborough called the admission a “ Perry Mason moment” where the person on the witness stand breaks down and admits they are guilty.

“This wasn’t about Bush or Reagan doing an executive order based on the ’86 law congress passed,” Scarborough continued.  “This is a guy who has been saying – I did this because congress didn’t act. And now he’s admitted, I created a law. He proved SNL right!” Joe exclaimed. “He just pushed a bill down the steps of the Capitol.”

Watcher’s Council Nominations -What Stays In Vegas Edition

Snake Eyes For the Snake-In-Chief!

From the awesome Chris Muir at Day By Day, of course.

Welcome to the Watcher’s Council, a blogging group consisting of some of the most incisive blogs in the ‘sphere, and the longest running group of its kind in existence. Every week, the members nominate two posts each, one written by themselves and one written by someone from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council. Then we vote on the best two posts, with the results appearing on Friday morning.

Council News:

The Council In Action!!

Tom White of Virginia Right is increasing in awesomeness every time we turn around! Aside from his status as a political guru in the Old Dominion, being virtually alone in predicting Dave Brat’s upset victory, he’s now becoming a local go to on other issues as well.

This week, he was cited in the Richmond Post-Dispatch, was interviewed on WRIC, the local ABC outlet and linked to on the station’s website after he wrote a big story locally about how parents in his locality were upset by the odd use of the name ‘Jihad’ in a kid’s math problem, which goes along with the Muslim Brotherhood line about ‘jihad’ merely meaning ‘struggle’ and thus normal behavior…even though all four Muslim fiqhs (Muslim schools of jurisprudence) agree that it’s primary use is to refer to holy war against the infidel. Here’s Tom in action:

You just know that the retired teacher they let follow him is a hard core Democrat, right? Outstanding, sir.

And speaking of outstanding, there’s another little matter we need to get to. Tom White just had a birthday that slipped by my notice, so it’s time for a belated festiva, que sabe?

Shadow_Birthday_Cake_med

This little number is called a Shadow Cake…yellow sponge with homemade chocolate buttercream, with some candy roses on top.

19023

And to drink, I’m going to resist the urge to go local and splurge on some Veuve Cliqot.

And, for those of you whom indulge, some wondrous Virginia moonshine, manufactured by men who despise both the revenooers (don’t we all?) and the idea of turning perfectly good corn into ethanol. Instead, they provide us with this nectar.

moonshine1

Slanje, Lechaim and Kempai!

Tom is what used to be referred to as a Renaissance man, someone who does many things superbly well. Aside from his undoubted blogging talent (he was chosen a top political blogger by the AFP in the 2012 elections), he’s a highly accomplished singer/songwriter who gigs locally and has his own studio, is highly active in Virginia politics, runs his own insurance agency, and is a top IT consultant as well.

Of course, all that aside, he’s a great guy and a firm friend. He’s never failed to help out any of us who are mired in techi-type difficulties, and that especially applies to me. Although none of us on the Council have ever met him personally, he was our unanimous choice to be the Council’s treasurer, which is just a small indication of the respect we have for him and the esteem we hold him in.

Me? All I’ll say is that from minute one, Tom was one of those people I instinctively liked. And also on the plus side, he puts up with me..how good is that?

Happy belated my friend. Many, many more.

This week, Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion, The Political Commentator, The Elder Of Ziyon and Seraphic Secretearned honorable mention status with some great articles.

MO Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder Wonders If Obama Had Something To Do With Natl Guard Not Being Mobilized In Ferguson (Updated)

Missouri Governor Jay Nixon called a state of emergency, last week, and announced that he was mobilizing the National Guard in preparation for the expected chaos in the wake of the Ferguson grand jury verdict, so where were they last night while Ferguson was burning?

Guard members were reportedly in place last night at key locations in St. Louis when the grand jury decision not to indict police officer Darrell Wilson was announced. But for some reason, none were at the flash point, where you would think, most of the attention would  have been focused.

Ferguson Mayor James Knowles told FOX 2 late  Monday night that he had repeatedly pleaded with the Governor’s office to deploy the  the National Guard in his town, but his requests were “completely ignored.”

On Fox News’, America’s NewsroomKinder asked, “did the Obama administration lean on Governor Nixon to ignore pleas from Ferguson Mayor to send in National Guard?”

Via Gateway Pundit:

“He (Governor Nixon) declared a State of Emergency almost a week ago and mobilized the National Guard. Then they were kept away at the crucial time while Ferguson burned…

We know they were kept away because they did not come in and stop that from the get-go. They were deployed in other parts of the St. Louis region… Why were they not in there at the first sign of an overturned police car or a smashed police car window with a show of force that would have stopped this?

Here’s my question that the governor must answer – Is the reason that the National Guard was not in there because the Obama Administration and the Holder Justice Department leaned on you to keep them out? I cannot imagine any other reason why the governor who mobilized the National Guard would not have them in there to stop this.”

It’s absolutely chilling that such a question is being asked.

UPDATE:

Via White House Dossier: Did Holder Cause the National Guard to be Kept From Ferguson?

Indeed, there were reports Holder was not happy with Nixon’s efforts to display force and use the National Guard. From an article Friday in the Washington Post:

Holder also expressed concerns privately about Gov. Jay Nixon’s decision this week to declare a state of emergency at a news conference and activate the National Guard . . .

A top aide to Holder called the governor’s office earlier this week to express Holder’s displeasure and “frustration,” according to a Justice Department official.

“Instead of de-escalating the situation, the governor escalated it,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because he was not authorized to speak on the subject. “He sent the wrong message. The tone of the press conference was counterproductive.”

Weasel Of The Week Nominees

https://c1.staticflickr.com/1/89/256833910_dc5e794df2.jpg

Hello and welcome to the Watcher’s Council’s ‘Weasel Of The Week’ nominations, where we award the famed golden plastic Weasel to a public figure who particularly deserves to be slimed and mocked for his or her dastardly deeds during the week. Every Tuesday morning, tune in for the Weasel of the Week nominations and check back Thursday to see which Weasel gets the votes and walks off with the statuette of shame!

Here are this weeks’ nominees…

Democrat Congressman And Illegal Alien Grievance Monger Luis Gutierrez!

The Noisy Room : For his telling GOP Majority Leader Mitch McConnell to stop whining and start legislating and for his smug “It’s a beautiful day to celebrate #ImmigrationAction in Las Vegas!”

Gutierrez, a true Marxist revolutionary and a committed racist is celebrating the defeat and coup of the Republic. For that, I brand him a treasonous weasel. Is that constructive enough?

http://www.coolcleveland.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/ZoneCimperman.jpg
Cleveland City Councilmen And Bathroom Monitors Matt Zone And Joe Ciperman!!

The Independent Sentinel : My weasel of the week is the Cleveland City Council especially councilmen Matt Zone and Joe Cimperman who suggested we have to get used to people of any gender using any bathroom.

Businesses and individuals who voice concerns or express discomfort will be subject to a $1000 fine. This is to please the less than 1% of the population who call themselves transgender.

“This is common sense legislation, and it’s long overdue,” Zone asserted, noting that the ordinance does not mandate businesses to provide separate restroom or locker room facilities or signs warning unsuspecting visitors. “We’re in the 21st century, and it would allow Clevelanders to feel comfortable in their own environment and to use facilities that they’re most comfortable with.”

http://island-adv.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Obama+-+dictator.jpg
El Presidente Y Jefe Barack Hussein Obama!!

Rhymes With Right:Barack Hussein Obama, who by executive decree has declared the Constitution, and with it the principle of separation of powers, is null and void and that therefore all powers granted to Congress shall instead reside in the hands of the President in the event he does not approve of their decision not to pass laws that he demands be passed.

http://weaselzippers.us/wp-content/uploads/Kerry-Day.jpg
The P5+1 And Particularly Secretary Of State John Kerry!!

JoshuaPundit: For allowing Iran to play them for even more time in ‘negotiations’ while Iran gets closer to having a nuclear weapon. The latest deadline (giggle) ended November 24th, with the Iranians still refusing even basic concessions like reducing the number of centrifuges, changing their heavy water reactor at Arak to a light water one incapable of increasing plutonium, ceasing all ballistic missile activity or even disclosing info on  their  program, or even a reliable verification program.

Kerry’s reaction? After a year of sheer horse manure that has accomplished nothing except to dismantle the sanctions regime and give badly needed billions to this fascist regime,Kerry and the P5+1 are begging Iran to continue the talks for another 7 months, until July 2015. They’ve caved on everything. The weakness this projects to the Iranians can only be imagined and it’s weaselness that threatens both our country and the peace of the world.

Well, there it is! Are these worthy weasels or what? Check back Thursday to see which Weasel walks off with the statuette of shame!

Make sure to tune in every Monday for the Watcher’s Forum.

And remember, every Wednesday, the Council has its weekly contest with the members nominating two posts each, one written by themselves and one written by someone from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council. The votes are cast by the Council, and the results are posted on Friday morning.

It’s a weekly magazine of some of the best stuff written in the blogosphere, and you won’t want to miss it...or any of the other fantabulous Watcher’s Council content.

UPDATE:

Ferguson Mayor now complaining that the DEMOCRAT Missouri Governer Jay Nixon is not keeping his promise to deploy National Guard:

“I know I’ve been on the phone in contact with the County Executive’s Office. I know he has requested. I am requesting. I’ve requested the National Guard troops to come out from their command post to help restore order along the business district. We have not seen that… Those calls have gone unheeded at this point… We need to have the governor step up and give us the resources that he’s promised from the beginning. He said he would have a strong response. The resources necessary would be provided. They have not been provided so far.”

KMOV: 61 arrested in Ferguson as protests turn violent

It’s not often that a headline needs more than one correction, but it wasn’t a “protest” – or “protests” – it was a race riot. It didn’t “turn violent” – it was violent from the start.

Officer Darren Wilson Issues Statement: “Followed His Training And Followed the Law”

Via St. Louis Dispatch. lawyers for officer Darren Wilson have issued a statement following the Grand Jury decision not to indict, saying Wilson “followed his training and followed the law” when he shot and killed Michael Brown  on Aug. 9.

If anyone should be indicted in all this – it’s the national media and the racial grievance industry who helped spread early, erroneous narratives.

Some of the witnesses “pretty much acknowledged they saw parts and made up other parts of it,” Mr. McCulloch said in disputing some of the early media reports in the case.

And although it’s certainly a welcome relief that Obama made a point to urge that protesters stay peaceful, tonight, why not tell them to stay home as there’s nothing to protest?  Contrary to what the president says, it is not “understandable” for people to be upset because justice has taken its course, and an innocent man is not being prosecuted.

That is not to say that his life has not been completely upended by this nightmare. The mob can get some solace from that, perhaps.

“While the legal system has exonerated Officer Darren Wilson for his split-second decision on that August afternoon, he very much remains a victim of a politicized agenda that deemed him ‘guilty until proven innocent,’” said Ron Hosko, a former FBI assistant director who serves currently as the president of the Law Enforcement Legal Defense Fund. “Although he will walk free, his life has been forever changed, as he has been exploited in a cynical effort to turn civilians against cops in fulfillment of an anti-law enforcement agenda.

Via the St. Louis Post-DispatchLawyers for Darren Wilson issued a public statement Monday night after learning he would not be indicted, saying, in part, that Wilson “followed his training and followed the law” when he shot and killed Michael Brown Aug. 9.

The statement continued: “Today, a St. Louis County grand jury released its decision that no charges would be filed in the case involving Officer Darren Wilson. From the onset, we have maintained and the grand jury agreed that Officer Wilson’s actions on August 9 were in accordance with the laws and regulations that govern the procedures of an officer.

“In a case of this magnitude, a team of prosecutors rightfully presented evidence to this St. Louis County grand jury. This group of citizens, drawn at random from the community, listened to witnesses and heard all the evidence in the case. Based on the evidence and witness testimony, the grand jury collectively determined there was no basis for criminal charges against Officer Wilson.

“Law enforcement personnel must frequently make split-second and difficult decisions. Officer Wilson followed his training and followed the law. We recognize that many people will want to second-guess the grand jury’s decision. We would encourage anyone who wants to express an opinion do so in a respectful and peaceful manner.

“On a side note, Officer Wilson would like to thank those who have stood by his side throughout the process. This continued support is greatly appreciated by Officer Wilson and his family. Moving forward, any commentary on this matter will be done in the appropriate venue and not through the media.

His attorney, Neil Bruntrager, characterized the past few days as “tense” for Wilson.

“For him, none of this ends,” Bruntrager said. “People have made threats against his life, he will continue to be concerned about his family’s security and his own. (Not being indicted) is a brief respite, but certainly not the end of things for him.”

Obama Presser On Ferguson (Live-Stream)

Will POTUS for once, do the responsible thing and respect the decision? Will he tell the angry mob to go home – that justice has taken place? Not counting on it.

No, I’m sorry – It is not an understanding reaction for people to be enraged that an innocent man is not being prosecuted. Obama can urge peaceful protests all he wants, but as long as he and others in positions of power justify their rage by saying it is understandable – violence will ensue.

So Obama is using this sorry debacle as a launching pad for “critical reforms” (ala Bill D’Blasio in NYC) in law enforcement agencies across the nation.

“Never let a crisis go to waste,”as they say.
