So this is the same protest near Cleveland Ohio, where those two Mensa recipients were caught on tape gushing about Obama’s free phones, and saying that our Ambassador to Libya, Chris Stevens deserved what he got. I said that guy looked like a union goon, didn’t I?
This video should go viral because it exposes the type of astroturf in which the organized left specializes. The Community Organizer in Chief”s partner in political thuggery, the SEIU actually pays people to protest Mitt Romney at his appearances.
Does America want these repulsive people to win in November?
Last week, the Committee on Government Oversight and Reform turned its attention to the injustice of forced union membership, focusing on the appalling union practice of forcing American workers to give money to partisan political activity they oppose.
Via an Oversight and Reform press release:
On February 8th, three of these workers testified before the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform about how forced political contributions violate their freedom and rights. But Terry Bowman, Claire Waites and Sally Coomer are not alone: many workers are not even informed of their right to control their own hard-earned money, facing threats and intimidation when they are brave enough to speak out against this unfair loss of workplace freedom and fairness. These are the faces of forced contributions to the union special interest agenda.
SALLY COOMER: Denied the Right to Choose by SEIU Leaders:
“We were required at the end of 2009 to quit our agency employment and transfer over to a system that is unionized by the SEIU, called the Individual Provider System. Caring for my daughter is not a job that requires union intervention…The thing that is very discouraging for me is every month, you know, I’m seeing close to $95 a month being taken out of the check for union dues, going to causes I do not support. For me, that $95 a month would provide an additional 9 to 10 hours of care for Becky directly…. I feel very strongly that any type of union that a person belongs to that if the union is going to take out union dues that that employee should be well-aware of what those dues are being spent for. And that, if they are using it for political purposes that they should be aware of that and they should be able to make a choice as to whether or not that that is what they want their union dues to be spent on.”
Terry Bowman, United Auto Workers (UAW) Member from Ypsilanti, Mich:
“You know, the United States government has given labor unions the ability to trump an individual’s First Amendment right and force the seizure of an individual’s personal property – their wages – for simply exercising their pursuit of happiness by applying for a job. I really would like my first amendment right of freedom of association back. I do not have the ability to exercise that right in a forced union state. Unfortunately the union dues that I am forced to pay, much of that goes to political reasons that I disagree with. To the people who are actually pulling my dues out, you do not have to right to use my money as you so choose to use it. The fact that my plant chairman, at a union meeting, will stand up there and point to all of us and say you all better be voting for democrats is not what a union was created to do and is not what it was meant to do. So unions have lost their way. They realized that compulsion was not the way to go, but when they smelled the potential hundreds of millions of dollars from forced unionism, they had to go that route. I think it’s quite unfortunate.”
Claire Waites, National Education Association (NEA) Member from Daphne, Ala:
“I am in the Baldwin County Teacher’s Association, the Alabama Education Association, and the National Education Association because there are no other carriers for liability insurance for teachers in the state of Alabama. The NEA Fund for Children, you’d think it’s a fund for children and it’ll go to actually classroom expenses or classroom projects or teacher grants or actually go to underprivileged children. In reality, the NEA Fund for Children goes to political action groups that they choose. We have no voice. They choose who they would like the money to go to… Right now in the economy, classroom teachers need money. This is the third year that I’ve bought my own classroom supplies. For the $180 that I gave to the Children’s Fund, that’s three classroom labs in my room. My message to NEA is that if you’re going to have a children’s fund have a children’s fund. If you’re going to have a PAC fund, have a PAC fund. Don’t trick me to give to your PAC fund by making it named a children’s fund.”
The individual who has visited the Obama White House the most: SEIU President Andy Stern, who has visited 53 times.
Obama is closely linked with the SEIU.
The SEIU is closely linked with communists.
You do the math.
***
In case you were wondering what the SEIU was saying during all of this, here’s a video of the SEIU chanting “Legalization or REVOLUTION!” Clear enough?
Tell me the honest truth: If the Tea Party had marched in a rally behind a banner held up by fascists or neo-Nazis, don’t you think it would have been national news? But the nation’s biggest Obama-supporting political organization marched behind banners like these, and not a peep about it in the media. Hmmmm….
There is no doubt in my mind that this is what Obama is attempting. There is no other way to explain his irresponsible actions since becoming President. His Marxist buddies have been out in the open about what their end game is.
Obama, George Soros, the United Nations (UN) and the global elites (Democrats, Union leaders and some Republicans) are accelerating their plan to bring America into their Global Governance scheme which will usher in the New World Order (their term, not mine).
Financially, they need to collapse America’s economy to establish a new global structure. Within that structure will be an independent funding source for the UN as well as a system to transfer America’s wealth into the hands of the elites and the governments of other countries.
Sending a massive amount of money overseas will increase America’s debt, further weaken the dollar, cause inflation and stifle any hope of a recovery; the perfect recipe to collapse our economy so that George Soros and the elites can usher in their new global structure, eliminate the dollar as the global currency and transition to a new global currency.
To those who say an American President would never do something like this to our country, read on… the process of taking America’s wealth and “spreading it around” globally is already well underway. Here are some financial facts relating to TARP and just a few of Obama’s 2011 overseas budget expenditures.
Yesterday, a video taken at a closed session at a Pace University forum over the weekend, exposing the nefarious plans of former a SEIU official to destroy the US capitalism, made the rounds in the right wing blogosphere. Stephen Lerner can be heard saying:
“It seems to me that we’re in a moment where we need to figure out in a much more, through direct action, much more concrete way how we really are trying to disrupt and create uncertainty for capital, for how corporations operate,” Lerner said during the progressive conference last weekend in New York.
Some dismissed the story because Lerner had been fired by the SEIU for wasting money pushing this very project. Anyone who is too radical for the SEIU, is a crackpot with very little influence one would think.
But as the Blaze reports, today, a look at White House visiter logs shows that a Stephen Lerner has visited the White House four times in the past two years.
Two of these visits were for public gatherings: a large group’s private White House tour and a White House Hanukkah celebration. But at least two other visits were scheduled for private meetings with high-level executive offices.
On May 22, 2010, Lerner met with a presidential personnel officer who manages economic agencies. While the minimal information in the WH visitor log offers no real information on what this meeting was about, it’s distressing to know a) anyone in the White House would meet with the kind of man who could openly call for the deliberate dismantling of the American economy, and that b) that White House official works to recruit personnel for the federal government’s economic agencies.
Perhaps more telling, the Stephen Lerner listed in the White House logs had an October 16, 2010 appointment scheduled by Tara Corrigan, executive assistant to then-WH political director Patrick Gaspard. Like Lerner, Gaspard spent much of his career working as a lobbyist and executive vice president for SEIU‘s Local 1199 in New York one of the union’s most powerful and notoriously militant chapters. You may recall that Gaspard announced his departure from the White House earlier this year in order to focus on the upcoming 2012 campaign. He now serves as executive director of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) under chairman Tim Kaine.
We have asked the White House to confirm that the reported “Stephen Lerner” is indeed the veteran SEIU organizer, however we still have received no response.
The White House will no doubt say that this Stephen Lerner is yet another“false positive” like they have with other radicals who’s names have appeared on the White House guest rolls. Andrew Breitbart noted the dilemma, in this Huffpo oped, yesterday:
The visitor logs that have been released are problematic, because they are simply lists of names, with no way to verify whether a specific name belongs to a particular person.
When the first names were released on Oct. 30, 2009, late on a Friday afternoon, then-White House “ethics czar” Norm Eisen noted the lists included “false positives” — “names that make you think of a well-known person, but are actually someone else.” According to Eisen, these included ordinary visitors named “Michael Jordan, William Ayers, Michael Moore, Jeremiah Wright, Robert Kelly (“R. Kelly”), and Malik Shabazz.”
A number of conservative bloggers noticed the names, but not Eisen’s blog post. With speed and precision suggesting direct coordination from the top, ThinkProgress, the core of the heavily funded John Podesta/George Soros “progressive” world, gleefully attacked its ideological foes for reporting “false positives.” The next release included “Louis Farrakhan” and “James Taylor,” but this time conservatives were more careful.
Yet there is no way to prove that the “false positives” really are false, because the White House refuses to reveal identifying information about visitors. In December 2009, citing visitor logs, Big Government reported that ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis had likely visited the White House on a special “staff tour” on September 5. The timing of Lewis’s visit — as the far-left regrouped in the aftermath of the health care town halls — seemed suspicious.
Don’t hold your breath waiting for the the MSM to show an ounce of curiosity about it.
This political spectrum, which can be seen up close at GovTrack.us is fascinating. The image is generated through a statistical analysis of the cosponsorship of bills in the 110th-11th Congresses (2007-09). Yes, that’s DSA member, Jan Schakowsky on the very far left,to the extreme! 100 miles to the left of her closest competitor, (Barbara Lee, of CA). Raul (Boycott AZ!) Grijalva of AZ comes in a close third.
Once again, she was caught on tape, making statements not meant for all ears, as she beckoned supporters to do “What We Do In Chicago”.
“We have a tradition of knocking on doors, of pulling people out…Here’s our message: I don’t get off your doorstep, until you go out and vote, That’s our message!”
Schakowsky is explicitly encouraging Democrats to commit the crime of intimidation.
Under Illinois law, intimidation is defined to include acts performed with the intent to cause another person to perform an act (e.g. voting) under threat of inflicting physical harm on the person threatened or on property, or to subject the person threatened to physical confinement or restraint. That is the intended effect of a Schakowsky representative refusing to leave the doorstep until a resident has been “pulled out” to go to the polls and vote.
You know what this reminds me of? Union tactics, specifically the sort of thug tactics used by the SEIU in Fresno, in their union election, last June.
It’s worth noting that Schakowsky gets 60% of her PAC donations from unions, which, I guess is why she earned the nickname, “SEIU’s Jan Schakowsky ” in Chicago circles.
Nearly 60 percent of Schakowsky’s Political Action Committee (PAC) contributions come from organized labor. Among her biggest individual donors are the Teamsters Union; public employee unions such as the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU); the American Association for Justice (formerly known as the Association of Trial Lawyers of America); and the AFL-CIO, whose President John Sweeney is a member of DSA.
We sent photographers down and reporters down. We hired independent crews because I didn’t want to, quite honestly, put a FOX crew into that lion’s den and have anybody have to answer that they were from FOX. So, we hired — I personally hired — independent crews to go down and take photos and do interviews with people in the crowd. You’ll see them tonight.
And does it matter?
You know, this is what I told you about a year ago. I said, right now they’re all saying that they’re not communists, they’re not socialists, they’re not revolutionaries but mark my words, I said, there will come a team when they’ll just come out and say, it doesn’t matter anyway. We’re there, gang, we’re there, and the American people have to decide.
He compared footage of his 8/28 rally and the 10/2 rally on his television show on Fox, this afternoon.
Here’s some more footage, via Da Techguy, of the trashy aftermath of One Nation, by videographer, sECULARsTUPIDEST, who was able to speak with a a Parks Department employee who was on duty at both the 8/28 and 10/2 events. He said the lefties’ mess was the “Worst that it Gets”
That any self-respecting cable news personality would go on national television saying that these crowds were “pretty much the same” is absolutely deplorable.
That his employers would tolerate it without disciplinary action is a disgrace to the industry.
Yet, it got even worse, for about 35 minutes later, Schultz got into a fight with Republican strategist Ron Christie about the crowd size.
NBC, General Electric, and Comcast must be so proud.
Good Morning America on Sunday recapped the liberal One Nation rally held on the nation’s capital, Saturday, but skipped any mention of the socialist and Communist themed signs seen during the march.
These are some of the signs that were featured during reporter Tahman Bradley’s segment: “”Peace, justice, equality, hope, change,” “Fair trade, not free trade,” “Educate every child,” “Full and fair employment” and “Silence GOP lies.” However, signs with the Communist Party USA logo, posters reading “Capitalism is failing, socialism is the alternative” and “Build a socialist alternative” were not. [Pictures can be found here. Video, here.]
They refuse to show it.
The MSM is bleeding circulation and ratings because so few trust them anymore…and they still don’t care. They are going to keep trying to control the narrative until there’s no one left in their audience to hear it.
Ex-moderate Senator Gillibrand, along with thousands of Communists, radicals and union astroturfers, is endorsing the One Nation march on Washington. I believe the NY Senator is also up for reelection.
There has to be some kind of poignant symbolic message in the trash lefties always leave behind whenever they hold a protest, or rally. What does this tell you about personal responsibility?
Just a Conservative Girl was at both the 8/28 and 10/2 rallies and has a comparison of the trash situation, here.
More than 400 organizations — ranging from labor unions to faith, environmental and gay rights groups — partnered for the event, which comes one month after Beck packed the same space with conservatives and tea party-style activists.
Organizers claimed they had as many participants as Beck’s rally. But Saturday’s crowds were less dense and didn’t reach as far to the edges as they did during Beck’s rally. The National Park Service stopped providing official crowd estimates in the 1990s.
Notice how they left out the communist groups. They always do. The average joe is not supposed to know what the Dem base really looks like.
UPDATE:
This is just sad…Most of the crowd (union astroturf) left before the rally was over. Hey, those buses run on a tight schedule:
When Catherine Engelbrecht and her friends sat down and started talking politics several years ago, they soon agreed that talking wasn’t enough. They wanted to do more. So when the 2008 election came around, “about 50” of her friends volunteered to work at Houston’s polling places.
“What we saw shocked us,” she said. “There was no one checking IDs, judges would vote for people that asked for help. It was fraud, and we watched like deer in the headlights.”
Their shared experience, she says, created “True the Vote,” a citizen-based grassroots organization that began collecting publicly available voting data to prove that what they saw in their day at the polls was, indeed, happening — and that it was happening everywhere.
“It was a true Tea Party moment,” she remembers.
Like most voter watchdog groups, she said, her group started small. They decided to investigate voting fraud in general, not just at the polling places, and at first they weren’t even sure what to look for — and where to look for it.
When they came across a district that had 24,000 houses with six or more voters in it, (when the norm is 1,800 for R districts, and 2,400 for D districts), they decided to start there.
It was Houston’s poorest and predominantly black district, which has led some to accuse the group of targeting poor black areas. But Engelbrecht rejects that, saying, “It had nothing to do with politics. It was just the numbers.”
The task was overwhelming. With 1.9 million voters and 886 voting precincts, Houston’s Harris County is the second largest county in the country — and the key to Texas elections.
The group called for help and quickly got 30 donated computers and “tens of thousands of hours” of volunteer work. And then the questions started to arise.
“Vacant lots had several voters registered on them. An eight-bed halfway house had more than 40 voters registered at its address,” Engelbrecht said. “We then decided to look at who was registering the voters.”
Their work paid off. Two weeks ago the Harris County voter registrar took their work and the findings of his own investigation and handed them over to both the Texas secretary of state’s office and the Harris County district attorney.
Most of the findings focused on a group called Houston Votes, a voter registration group headed by Sean Caddle, who also works for the Service Employees International Union. Among the findings were that only 1,793 of the 25,000 registrations the group submitted appeared to be valid.
The other registrations included one of a woman who registered six times in the same day; registrations of non-citizens; so many applications from one Houston Voters collector in one day that it was deemed to be beyond human capability; and 1,597 registrations that named the same person multiple times, often with different signatures.
Caddle told local newspapers that there “had been mistakes made,” and he said he had fired 30 workers for filing defective voter registration applications. He could not be reached for this article.
That’s just one district in one (red) state. I shudder to think of how widespread this problem is, especially considering how uninterestedthe Holder Justice Dept is, in remedying the situation.
Washington — David Axelrod, President Obama’s senior adviser, says that he is “eager” for the November midterms. Many Democrats, he predicts, “will win in places you didn’t expect.”
Eh-heh…hm.
Anybody but me getting creeped out by the unseemly overconfident musings of Pelosi/Reid/Biden/Axe et al?
