Image Of Virgin Mary Found In Stone

I don’t *think* the guy’s trying to claim it’s “miraculous”, or anything…just that the image in the rock resembles an iconic depiction of the Virgin Mary. Which it does:

From The Kansas City Star:

When Randy O’Kane went canoeing with his son on the Jacks Fork River in southern Missouri, they skipped stones across the water. A tile-setter, O’Kane kept one of the stones. When he cut it in half to polish it, he saw an image in the center that he says looks like the Virgin Mary. He plans to give the stone to his wife.

I think it will make a lovely present.

  1. Cool rock, but he really needs to put that thing on Ebay. There are just too many people with more money than brains, who really need it. 10k as it, 20 if he claims it talked to him.

  4. Nice rock! Now God has a message for everyone. His message is about the meaning of, First is Last and Last is First. The message is this:
In the morning I go to Heaven. In the afternoon I live my life. In the evening I die, death.
What does this mean? It means that Birth is Last and Last is Birth. He also gave an example so that you can understand this better. In 2006, Mike Douglas died on his birthday. (Note Mike Douglas and Michael Douglas are two different people.) Melanie

  5. Randy shared his rock in person with us at the bank today. I have to say it is even more amazing in person! Its an awsome find! It gave me goose bumps! I can only wonder what other figures he actually skipped into the water before deciding to keep this one. If you are going to have a pet rock this would be the one to have 🙂 Thanks again for sharing!

  7. I found a smooth round river rock a couple of weeks ago on my Mojave Desrt Ranch . Where I live is a dried lakebed , like the one at Edwards Air Force Base 10 miles from here . This little stone is the size of an egg and so far I have counted 9 faces in it and they look almost like faded photos . Some look like The Virgin and some look like Jesus as a young Rabbi holding a Palm Leaf and others with the crown of thorns . One of the images looks just like one of the Pharises in The Passion Of The Christ movie . On one side there is a cross and there are three crosses on the other side of it . If you zoom in on it everything fades away . I would like to sell it to get out of debt ….don’t know what it’s worth tho . It really tells a story ….coolest thing Ive ever found .

  8. Hey Randy, its your neighbor around the corner. Hey, dude, I found your rock on the Internet! In the words of that great philosopher Gomer Pyle, “Surprise, surprise, surprise! ” Since the last post was September 8th, I don’t suppose you are still checking in on things here, but in case you are, I wish you the best of luck in whatever you do with it. Give me a call.
