“This is the main historic event of the year of 2008, the year of the shoe,” Muhammad Abdel-Al, spokesman and a top leader of the Popular Resistance Committees terrorist group, told WND. He was speaking by cell phone from the Gaza Strip.
“There are people that go into history by their inventions, by their martyrdom, by their sacrifices, but this guy went into history by his shoes,” said Abdel-Al, praising Muntazer al-Zaidi, an Iraqi journalist who shot to pan-Arab stardom for his attack on Bush and his cry: “This is a goodbye kiss from the Iraqi people, dog.”
Code Pink heartily agrees and have set up a fund to support him:
In solidarity with an Iraqi journalist who threw his shoes at George W. Bush at a Baghdad press conference Sunday, peace activists will gather outside the White House with bags of shoes representing Iraqis and U.S. soldiers who have died since the Bush Administration’s illegal invasion of Iraq.
They aim to show support for Iraqi journalist Muntader al-Zaidi, who hurled his shoes at President Bush while he spoke at the conference on his “surprise” visit to discuss the war. Al-Zaidi is currently being held by Iraqi police and questioned on his actions. The peace activists are calling on the Iraqi government to release al-Zaidi without charges and have set up a fund to support him and his family.”
And what do you know…Bridget Johnson of The Rocky Mountain News is reporting that al-Zaidi has something in common with the Code Pinkos, (and for that matter an Obama Campaign worker)…a love for Che-Che:
A visiting AP writer noted that al-Zaidi’s apartment was decked out with a poster of murderer Che Guevara…
He supposedly hates Iran’s influence, but then praises Iran ally al-Sadr. Make that the totally in bed with Iran, chilling with the ayatollahs al-Sadr. Al-Zaidi is clearly a camera-whore supertwit.
Which is pretty much the job description for an active Code Pinko. I think the man has found his true calling.
Okay…so I can understand the Arab street and the Code Pinkos swooning for al-Zaidi, but what’s with the LA Time’s comparing al-Zaidi to Joe the Plumber???
In the few seconds it took Iraqi journalist Muntather Zaidi to wing a pair of shoes at President Bush, the Middle East got its own version of Joe the Plumber.
Just as Joe Wurzelbacher’s gripes to Barack Obama during the U.S. presidential election catapulted him to fame, Zaidi’s burst of rage toward Bush during a Baghdad news conference Sunday has made him a household name across the Middle East.
Sooo the thinking is, that Joe the Plumber assaulted Obama with his “gripes”?
What a sick joke. This whole story is a sick joke. (Which is why I called it “Shoegate”).
Watch the Iraq Ambassador to the United States, Samir Sumaida’ie, calmly smack down some Code Pink protesters during a presentation in Washington, yesterday:
Of course that hasn’t stopped these brain dead morons from holding their rally in front of the White House, today, in support of the brave martyr, al-Zaidi.
