Can somebody explain to me why we should care what this *insane clown posse* thinks of Carrie Prejean?

She makes them want to throw up?

In contemplating the Carrie Prejean matter, I thought of the old 19th and 20th century calls for a “muscular Christianity.” President Theodore Roosevelt was one of that idea’s best known expositors. He wanted the non-Christian world to see Christians plus: individuals capable of any and every sort of excellence.

The key here is that many anti-Christians tried to present the faith as an impediment to achievement in this world. “Muscular Christians” were seen as an antidote to that poisonous notion, who could, by their example, free the more tentative from fear that hewing to Christian principles would somehow deny temporal fulfillments.

Carrie Prejean is one of our era’s muscular Christians: beautiful, poised, intelligent, well controlled under trial, and apparently quite sincere about her convictions. She’s guaranteed to go far — and the anti-Christian Left is incandescently furious about it.

Christian principles, to which the great majority of Americans give lip service at the very least, remain the most important of all obstacles to the Left’s program for the United States. With every betrayal from the Obama Administration and its loyalists, more and more people are asking, “Is this man truly what he claims to be? Would an authentic Christian do any of this?”

Now that the Left’s own luminaries are self-revealing as completely amoral, disgusting thugs — who in his right mind would pick Perez Hilton as a beauty contest judge? — it won’t take more than a few examples like Miss Prejean to spark a Christian revival that will blow the Left out the window like a bad odor.
