There’s something fishy right here, comrades! Report! Inform!

A concerned citizen throws his hat into the ring to Fink On People Lying About Hell Care Reform.

Red Alert:”High Level”, “Well Funded”, “Desperate’ Organizer Of “Angry Mobs” Identified

Powerful and wealthy interests are organizing wackos to attend Town Hall meetings to “share their views”.  It’s just like the DNC ad said!

…some people, not surprisingly, are getting pretty nervous. So we’ve got to get out there, fight lies with truth, and set the record straight.

That’s why Organizing for America is putting together thousands of events this month where you can reach out to neighbors, show your support, and make certain your members of Congress know that you’re counting on them to act.

But these canvasses, town halls, and gatherings only make a difference if you turn up to knock on doors, share your views, and show your support. So here’s what I need from you:

Can you commit to join at least one event in your community this month?

In politics, there’s a rule that says when you ask people to get involved, always tell them it’ll be easy. Well, let’s be honest here: Passing comprehensive health insurance reform will not be easy. Every President since Harry Truman has talked about it, and the most powerful and experienced lobbyists in Washington stand in the way.

Message from the President, Organizing for AmericaCommunity Blog “This is the moment our movement was built for.”

Feel free to flag this post if it looks “fishy” to you:

White House Urges Citizens To Inform On “Fishy” Emails/Websites

Coming straight from the White House:

Scary chain emails and videos are starting to percolate on the internet, breathlessly claiming, for example, to “uncover” the truth about the President’s health insurance reform positions.

…Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to

Via Cuffy Meigs, John Cornyn fired off a letter to the White House:

“I am not aware of any precedent for a president asking American citizens to report their fellow citizens to the White House for pure political speech that is deemed ‘fishy’ or otherwise inimical to the White House’s political interests,” John Cornyn of Texas wrote US President Barack Obama.

“As Congress debates health care reform and other critical policy matters, citizen engagement must not be chilled by fear of government monitoring the exercise of free speech rights,” he wrote.

“I can only imagine the level of justifiable outrage had your predecessor asked Americans to forward emails critical of his policies to the White House,” Cornyn wrote, referring to former president George W. Bush.

“I suspect that you would have been leading the charge in condemning such a program — and I would have been at your side denouncing such heavy-handed government action,” he wrote.

So I urge you to cease this program immediately. At the very least, I request that you detail to Congress and the public the protocols that your White House is following to purge the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in “fishy” speech. And I respectfully request an answer to the following:

  • How do you intend to use the names, email addresses, IP addresses, and identities of citizens who are reported to have engaged in “fishy” speech?
  • How do you intend to notify citizens who have been reported for “fishy” speech?
  • What action do you intend to take against citizens who have been reported for “fishy” speech?
  • Full letter, here.
  • Let’s see if the most transparent administration, evah, responds to his letter.
  • Krauthammer just now on Fox News All Stars said: The tactic is Chicago thug politics, it’s disgraceful.

The DNC Ad v.s. The RNC Ad

First the DNC ad, vicious character assassination, and lies:

…designed to isolate Republican protesters, and ridicule them into submission, in classic Alinsky fashion.

The RNC ad actually chronicles Obama and the Democrats’ risky “experiments”  that have people so exercised:

Let’s see, one side seeks to chill speech by demonizing its opposition…the other side explains what it is specifically that is being protested.

I wonder which one will be more effective.

    Very telling.

A study in contrasts: The Bush administration v.s. the thin skinned Obama administration on protests.

    For instance:

White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer on Anti-war protesters:

I think the president welcomes the fact that we are a democracy and people in the United States, unlike Iraq, are free to protest and to make their case known.”

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs on health care protests:

“I hope people will take a jaundiced eye to what is clearly the Astroturf nature of grass-roots lobbying,” said White House press secretary Robert Gibbs during a morning off-camera session in his office with reporters.

“This is manufactured anger,” he said.

Obama Returns To Elkhart Indiana, Today

Hundreds of both protesters and supporters have lined up to greet the President when he arrives, but, according to people on Twitter, (#obamaelkhart)the supporters of ObamaCare were bused in, some seen wearing SEIU tee shirts:

stix1972 RT @pkelly99 3 busloads of Obama supporters, hundreds of Patriots who drove themselves!

The President is expected to be introduced at about 11:55 am ET, roughly on time.
