Fox News All Stars: Van Jones Will Be Gone By Monday

When I watched that earlier today, I was amazed at how how unimpressed they were by revelations that there was a Communist in the White House. That’s what’s wrong with the “Washington bubble”. Maybe that’s why the media (even right leaning media?) avoids reporting on Obama’s radical background and associations, even as he now brings these associations into the White House to work with him. They think it’s no big deal? Here, in flyover country, that’s still considered a big deal.

Meanwhile, Van Jones seems to be hoping that a lame disavowal that he was ever a truther will suffice until this blows over:

Van Jones, the Special Advisor for Green Jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, is Number 46 of the petitioners from the so-called “Truther” movement which suggests that people in the administration of President George W. Bush “may indeed have deliberately allowed 9/11 to happen, perhaps as a pretext for war.”

In a statement issued Thursday evening Jones said of “the petition that was circulated today, I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever.”

He did not explain how his name came to be on the petition.

“My work at the Council on Environmental Quality is entirely focused on one goal: building clean energy incentives which create 21st century jobs that improve energy efficiency and use renewable resources,” Jones said in his statement tonight.

That was basically the answer Glenn Beck got from the White House when he asked them why a Communist was a close adviser to the President. Seems to be their pat answer to all questions about Van Jone’s radical background.

And what does Jones want us to believe about how his name got on that list? Allahpundit explores the possibilities.

UPDATE:

Here’s Glenn Beck, rubbing his nose in it.

UPDATE II:

Oh man.

After telling us that the the truther petition he signed in 2004 didn’t “reflect his views, now or ever”, it comes out that he was one of the earliest truthers in the movement, having helped organize a march to agitate for a congressional inquiry of 9/11 and the “‘war on terrorism’ which endangers the lives and liberties of free peoples everywhere”: Take it away, Gateway Pundit.

ObamaCare Supporter Bites Off Elderly Dissenter’s Pinkie Finger (UPDATED)

Pro-Obama thuggery at its worst:

Ventura County Sheriff‘s Capt. Frank O’Hanlon says about 100 people demonstrating in favor of health care reforms rallied Wednesday night on a street corner. One protester walked across the street to confront about 25 counter-demonstrators.

O’Hanlon says the man got into an argument and fist fight, during which he bit off the left pinky of a 65-year-old man who opposed health care reform.

A hospital spokeswoman says the man lost half the finger, but doctors reattached it and he was sent home the same night.

An eyewitness, who was able to recover the finger for the man, called in to the Rush Limbaugh Show, and said that the senior was actually targeted by the thug, who has not yet been caught.

I’m a little annoyed that substitute host, Mark Steyn finds it all so funny.

It’s not.

UPDATE:

Video here.

UPDATE II:

Captain Ed reports that the assailant may have been a Move on.org member, and notes:

…this does demonstrate — again — that most of the violence in these protests have come not from Tea Party activists or gun-carrying protesters, but from the counterprotesters from unions and left-wing groups.

But of course

UPDATE III:

Michelle Malkin says the Moveon crowd’s misinformation colored the early reporting of the incident, which explains why the first stories reported that the the dissident bit off the finger of the ObamaCare supporter.

That was the story first discussed by Mark Steyn before the eye witness called in and corrected him.

UPDATE IV:

A fuzzy picture of the finger biter has surfaced:

fingerbiter

Police said the biter has not been identified. Rice has admitted to throwing the first punch but says he did so because he felt threatened, Buschow said.

Rice gave investigators a photograph (above) taken just before the altercation.  Rice is wearing a khaki T-shirt and olive drab shorts; his opponent is in black at right.

Depending on the outcome of the investigation, the biter could be charged with mayhem, an offense by which the perpetrator deprives another person of a body part, and Rice could be charged with battery for throwing the first punch.

William Rice chose not to have his fingertip reattached.

UPDATE V:

CIA Counterterrorism Expert Rips Holder/Obama For Their “Global War on the CIA”

CIA agent, Kent Clizbe served the country in multiple counter-terrorism deployments  for several years after 9/11/01. He would later be  awarded the Intelligence Community Seal Medallion for his anti-terrorism work.

In this article at Newsmax, he talks about the many sacrifices made by the “unsung heroes” dispatched across the globe to run operations against al Qaeda operatives.

As I did my part in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Africa, my family tried to maintain a semblance of normalcy at home. My son was in eighth grade in September 2001. I did not see him graduate the next summer. I was home less than six months for each of the first three of his high school years.

Even with my nightly phone calls, his attitude and grades plummeted in my absence. He went from a happy, engaged, charming 13-year-old with straight A’s and a focus on the future to a sullen, uncommunicative, high school flunky. I put my successful and lucrative executive recruiting business on hold for eight years. Finally, after five years of constant travel, my family sacrifice account was overdrawn. Coming home was an option for me, and I took it.

Others did not take that option, and they sacrificed the quality of their marriages, participation in their children’s and grandchildren’s lives, the profitability of their businesses, and more. Personal and professional issues festered and rotted while they fought to keep America safe and prevented further attacks on our homeland.

In contrast, where was Eric Holder? Before leaving President Clinton’s employ, he orchestrated the pardons of several Puerto Rican separatist terrorists. Then in 2003, as a partner in the Washington law firm of Covington & Burling, Holder’s client, Chiquita Brands, admitted paying to support terrorist death squads in Colombia and paid a $25 million fine. During the time my friends worked to disrupt and destroy terrorist networks threatening America, Holder’s firm represented — for free — 16 terrorist detainees at Guantanamo.

Has he made any personal or professional sacrifices since his country was attacked in 2001? If he has, it is difficult to find them. When the special prosecutor comes calling, maybe someone from Covington & Burling can represent my colleagues for free, like they did for Lakhdar Boumedienne and 10 other terrorists in Gitmo.

Video: Green Czar Van Jones: We Are Going To “Transform The Whole Society”

Naked Emperor News has uncovered yet another revealing clip: this one from an interview conducted by, *ahem* “Uprising Radio” with Green Czar, Van Jones in April 2008. Listen to Jones explain how he and his allies plan to conduct a revolution incrementally, Captain Ed calls it an “offshoot of the Alinsky method”:

Cloward-Piven strategy in action, folks.

Partial transcript via HotAirPundit:

From 1964 to 1968 complete revolution was on the table for this country. And, I think that this green movement has to pursue those same steps and stages. Right now we say we want to move from suicidal gray capitalism to something eco-capitalism where at least we’re not fast-tracking the destruction of the whole planet. Will that be enough?

No, it won’t be enough. We want to go beyond the systems of exploitation and oppression all together. But, that’s a process and I think that’s what’s great about the movement that is beginning to emerge is that the CRISIS is so severe in terms of joblessness, violence and now ecological threats that people are willing to be both pragmatic and visionary. So the green economy will start off as a small subset and we are going to push it and push it and push it until it becomes the engine for transforming the whole society.

Keep in mind, Obama apologists have been saying that Van Jones has moderated since his more radical days in the ’90’s. He hasn’t. And I submit that his radicalism is not unknown to Obama, either. But if this controversy grows legs, (with or without the State media’s help) Van Jones just may end up joining Reverend Wright and Bill Ayers (and a bunch of others) under Obama’s bus.

UPDATE:

Beautiful. As if this man isn’t already odious enough, it now comes out that Obama’s Green Czar, besides being an ambitious, radical commie, is also a 9/11 truther.

Video: Michelle Malkin Discusses Obama’s School Speech On Hannity

Malkin crystallizes perfectly the concerns parents are having about Obama’s August 8 speech:

I think she’s absolutely right that the speech itself will be innocuous, although I suspect that there will be parts that rub me the wrong way – for instance any mention of “community service” because of the connotations and connections that come to mind. The main concern here, is of course,  that many liberal activist teachers will look at the curriculum offered By the Dept of Education, and feel encouraged to propagandize the kids.

I’m glad that Michelle is on this, and not backing down.
