Okay, so,Instapundit, found and posted this unflattering photo of Obama from the WH flickr site:
Then Ann Althouse analyzed why the White House would deem that pic worthy of being publicized-
People who like Obama are blinded to the way other people see him. This picture strongly says cool to people who love him, but it doesn’t read that way to others… including the many, many people who don’t even want a cool President.
Sure he looks tired, and as haughty as ever. And if you look at the close up at Instapundit, you’ll see that Obama’s eyes are indeed open and glaring.
Ed Morrissey piled on with a Hot Air photo caption contest. Some submissions:

Obama: “You are not bowing down, Joe. Do I have to show you again how it`s done?”
Why is it always left to me?
Okay, what the heck?
Andrew Sullivan has has figured out how to turn this into a race issue, somehow?:
I tried to puzzle this one out and can just about see how an elusive photo of a tired Obama reacting to something unknowable might make him look tired or arrogant or something.
And then I realized why this photo immediately strikes some people are damning. Obama is a black man who looks as if he is condescending to a white man. That’s political gold.
Oh dear God! He deploys the overused race card, instead of noting the obvious – it’s Sunday, a slow news day. People need crap to blog about. Obama’s sour puss is as good as anything else out there.
I think it was Ann Coulter who recently said, that when it comes to Democrats and race relations, it’s perennially 1964.
Which actually fits. The movie, To Kill a Mockingbird was made around that time…
Obama plays the part of the the wrongfully accused, Tom Robinson, whose only sin was that he “dared to feel sorry for a white woman”. That would make poor Joe Biden, Mayella.
Insty is the nasty, evil, murderous lush, Mr Ewell, and the rest of us are the angry lynch mob that tries to “serve justice” on poor Robinson in jail, while the heroic Mr. Finch sits outside the cell, protecting him.
Other players….well, William Ayers – Boo Radley, of course. And the nasty old lady, Mrs. Dubose, who lives down the street and terrorizes everyone who comes near her property? Sarah Palin.
That leaves you know who as Atticus Finch, ( sublimely portrayed by Gregory Peck)….
That’s right, Excitable Andy, himself!
Oh, what the heck…we’ll let Charles Johnson play Sheriff Tate. “Let the dead bury the dead, Mr Finch” can be “let the Palin babies have DNA tests done”….(or something – I’m still working on it…)
