Huh…Where Are The Black Faces At The Coffee Parties?

It goes against my natural colorblind instincts to even mention this, but since lefty luminaries such as Keith Olbermann (aka “Keef Overbite” aka “Bathtub Boy”, aka “Countdown to no ratings”) seem to think it’s important to ask this question of the tea partiers, I feel duty-bound to ask – where are the black faces at the coffee parties?

COFFEE PARTY USA; WINSTON-SALEM, NC MARCH 13, 2010 (The bald dude in the front with the brown shirt objected to my posting this photo, so you have to click this link to see it).

Coffee Party pics – Lincoln, NE 3/13/10

Boise, ID – 3/13/10 Coffee Party

I’ve been perusing the Coffee Party USA (Yep, CPUSA) Flickr pages, (via Pirate’s Cove) showing off the massive Coffee Party movement sweeping the nation, (ahem), and I’m not seeing a whole a lot of darker complexions – a few here and there, sure –  like you would see at a tea party.

Now, Olby could cherry pick the Coffee party pix that have one or two “black faces” to highlight the wonderful diversity. But the truth is, I could do the same thing with tea party pix. The fact of the matter is, the tea party movement is made up of mostly whites, which is not surprising because political conservatives tend to be white.

Guess what? So do liberal elites.

  1. You know what’s weird? They’re all “smiling.” Groups of liberals are not usually “smiley” and in this picture it looks there was a conscious group decision to “smile.” And they look like smiles in quotation marks, don’t they?

  5. I think the most telling photographs are from the Washington DC coffee parties. In a city that is overwhelmingly populated by African Americans, there are only a very small handful of AA faces in the mostly white crowd.

  7. Coffee Parties are not for liberals only. They are for all people who want serious discussion and less name calling. Something the teabaggers do not seem capable or willing to do at this point.

See, the thing is that you guys have small brains with small worlds that can’t think for yourselves without being brained washed and only repeat and see what you want to see and resort to the lowest levels to make a point. Do you really want to make a point, then how about not pulling the race card! Surpriseee again, we have a black president, hellooo! and surpriseeee again, I am not black either!!!!

  9. I was at the Baltimore CP meeting, and while there was only one African American attendee, what impressed me was the diversity of political persuasions, from liberal to centrist to libertarian to “none of the above”, and even one disillusioned Republican. I know the Tea Parties have been accused of being racist, but this group is not interested in perpetuating that kind of name calling, even towards those with whom we disagree. I don’t think conservatives should feel threatened by this movement.

And please remove my likeness from your site immediately. You are on notice that you do not have my permission to use it. I’m the guy in the brown shirt kneeling in front in the first photo.

Typical that instead of arguing what policies the Coffee Party favors that the Tea Party might disagree with and why, they run the hate mongering we are so accustom to seeing with this extreme branch off of the Republican Conservative groups. Unable to civilly discuss or debate the differences of our beliefs, instead they rush right into the ‘where are all the black people, why do you hate black people’ nonsense … well thanks for proving once again that those who support the Tea Party are in the business of mud throwing and trash talking on the same scale as a 7 yr old.

The only policy I have witnessed thus far is the consolidation of hippies aging badly, utopia-seekers, leftist shills, and people not bright enough to prevent themselves from being used by a callous and jaded elitocracy to call Americans who believe in limited government civil names like “teabagger”, and to pat selves on back while congratulating themselves on their civility.

    Did I miss something?

  24. LOL.. so the consolidation of ‘hippies’, Leftist ‘shills’ (name calling? ) bothers you? You condemn the use of the name ‘tea bagger’ as callous but have no problem name calling yourself? Hmmm, you say the Tea Party (I won’t use your term Teabagger if that’s ok) is against big government and yet most Tea Partiers are the same ilk who would have (and probably did) call us Bush questioners UnAmercian and Unpatriotic. So I’m curious when did it become ok for you to question and call arms as opposed to us 6yrs ago or more who did the same? This is why so many don’t take your Tea Party seriously. You don’t practice what you preach. And sadly no one is really all that surprised.

When the Tea Baggers hold a rally with members who hold up signs of our President as a Witch Doctor, and with images of Nazi Swastikas that is NOT racist, YOU are not a racists group, but the Coffee Group holds small meetings of less than 20 people per location in their first weeks of trying to organize and because only a few Black people show up, suddenly THEY are the racist group??? Oh My. LMAO You Tea Baggers are getting desperate aren’t you!?

A fool leading the Foolish. .. congrats ‘Deb’ When you get a spare minute from dividing this country and it’s citizens.. ….you might want to go research the fundamental laws on privacy rights that Bush brushed aside in the name of ‘National Security’ not that it will make any difference because you obviously don’t seem to care about facts based on your responses. Now that’s just a lie. I also love the “Bush failed to go after OBL!” So why hasn’t Obama captured him yet? He added troops to Afghanistan, but…no OBL. What’s wrong?

you might want to go research the fundamental laws on privacy rights that Bush brushed aside in the name of ‘National Security’

Yawn. Would those be the privacy rights brushed aside by the Democratic Congress in the renewal of the Patriot Act 2 weeks ago? The ones supported by the Obama administration, which has broadened the claims of Executive power? And what name did Obama and the Dems use? Oh yes – ‘National Security.’

Sorry MM: we don’t dance for the trolls. Especially the dim ones. If you want to talk about Obama’s other policies, either start your own blog or wait for an appropriate thread.

In the meantime: try to stay on topic, child. The topic here is the silliness of the mainstream media (particularly Olbermann), which claimed the Tea Parties were racist because they could find pictures of Tea Parties without minorities. NiceDeb has found similar pictures of Coffee Parties, so we fully expect to see Olbermann condemning the Coffee Partiers in his next show.

One guy had one sign at one rally, and supposedly that labeled the entire movement. Then a couple of liberal media types wet their panties with teabag puns, and the term took off.

I guess it doesn’t matter how often more credible people say that they find the term objectionable, and that the proper term is “Tea Partiers.” Skanky libs will always try to justify using the filthy term.

They really should think twice about it, though – we object to the term from a sense of propriety. But if the libs insist, we must point out that for every teabagger there is a teabaggee.
