More Facts That Don’t Fit The Narrative

The pre-dawn commando operation, which killed nine pro-Palestinian activists, was also sure to strengthen Gaza’s Islamic militant Hamas rulers at the expense of U.S. allies in the region, key among them Hamas’ main rival, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, as well as Egypt and Jordan.

“The attack on a humanitarian mission … will only further alienate the international community and isolate Israel while granting added legitimacy to Hamas’ claim to represent the plight of the Palestinian people,” said Scott Atran, an analyst at the University of Michigan.

I have to wonder if Scott, who I am ashamed to say is at my alma mater, actually took the time to find out about the conduct of those peace-loving humanitarians and “pro-Palestinian” activists? Because I’m not convinced the truth reflects the same thing he seems to be talking about in his quote:

Kinda puts a different perspective on the peace-loving pro-Palestinian activists the legacy media have come to know and love, doesn’t it?

  1. Never mind Hamas would like to wipe Israel off the map. Never mind Hamas is a terrorist organization backed by the kooks that run Iran. Never mind that Hamas has no problem using women and children as suicide bombers. No….it’s the JOOOOOOOOOOOOS who are evil. Right is Wrong…Bad is Good. NUTS!

  3. Again and again it all comes down to Liberals and the LiberalMedia all over the world. Liberals everywhere are so gutless they intuitively hope that by favoring the frightening Islamic barbarian hoard, they can escape the fate of those who bravely resist the Islamic menace by aquiescing, deferring and giving in to them. But Islam detests weakness and under Sharia Law, the best they can hope for is that perhaps their third and fourth generations will be allowed out of Dhimmitude Slavery to become Islamic citizens serving the Islamic World State.

  4. I have serious qualms with the actions of the Israeli military here. I understand the right to defend the blockade but at the same time haven’t they gone a bit too far here? I mean, they boarded the boats by force without requesting permission to board. The group running the flotilla has attempted this 8 times before, they have made it five times. The three times they didn’t, the Israeli navy requested permission to board before doing so. When boarding occurs by force, the boat being boarded and those on board have the right to fight back. It would appear that they were instead very peaceful, when the Israeli’s started attacking they then grabbed whatever they could to defend themselves. Was it really worth it? Lets look at the results, no weapons found (which should be expected since every checkpoint the ships went through found nothing in stem to stern searches). Nine people were killed and Israel has alienated themselves once again. Both sides are to blame here but Israel is hardly innocent in this situation. An investigation must be launched immediately.

  5. I have 0 qualms with what the IDF did (other than the fact that they began the raid using only paintball guns – while the Islamists were using lethal force). Again, Israel is put into a lose-lose situation. Allow the flotilla to go through in violation of the blockade which is set up to prevent weapons flowing into Gaza (to be used against Israel), or stop the ships violating the blockade. They can either board unarmed and say pretty please, and get killed in the process, or they can use lethal force to defend themselves. They did nothing wrong in defending themselves against these goons who want to annihilate them.

The IDF had offered to dock the main flotilla ship at Ashdod and transfer the supplies after they were inspected, and were told
‘Negative, negative, our destination is Gaza’.

This was a stunt not by “peace activists” but organized Jihadis designed to create a backlash against Israel, and a violent uprising in the Middle East and across the Islamic world. (and it’s working). But why should it work with anyone but the willfully ignorant, or those terminally biased with anti-Jew hatred?

  6. You are correct that the blockade is against bringing weapons into the country. The problem is that the ships after all checkpoints contained only aid and unarmed passengers. Stem to Stern searches found no weapons of any kind. If the blockade is against weapons, why not let unarmed ships with only aid in. I see no violation in that case. A plan by unarmed Jihadis to create backlash seems like too complicated of a Xanato’s Gambit to be true. Reckon it could be a possibility though.

  7. There’s nothing complicated about it. They force Israel into a bloody confrontation and a worldwide left-wing and Muslim backlash will ensue. It’s happening.

  8. First I have seen of any weapons being found on board. Noting it is an IDF video I will reserve judgement until a third party releases more information and news on the matter.

Yes, by all means. Afterall, there are sooooo many third parties who have presented unbiased and objective information about the actions of Israel vis-a-vie its neighbors.

  10. Nick, you can see from the video of the deadly clash (in the post) that the activists were fighting the soldiers with clubs and other weapons.

  11. I am not saying all third parties are not unbiased but at the same time a video by the IDF must also be taken with a grain of salt. Whats to say this isn’t a plan by the IDF to make activists look violent. That is no different than the thought that the blockade run was a plan of Jihadists. The best thing to do may be to believe no one.

And you are wrong if you think the blockade, which is a joint operation between Israel and Egypt, not exactly a moderate country, is only about weapons. There are numerous non-military products on the list, even certain food and animals.

You really should read more of the unbiased truth instead of the crap the MSM spoons out. This stunt has been widely known for weeks and the Israelis were ready for it. They knew they would take the heat for this no matter what happened, they always do. Look at the history, the only country that Israel could count on standing up for them year in and year out since it’s existence was the US. Go look up the absurd number of human rights sanctions that have been brought up at the UN Security Council against Israel and look at the only country willing to have the stuff to stand up for the truth year and year out for over 50 years and look who made the complaints. Israel is not always right by the standards of a normal culture. Israel doesn’t live in a normal culture. They live in a place where their next door neighbors constantly attack them and constantly pray for their destruction. It’s absurd to ask them to live by what you in your safe place think is OK.

No seriously, look it up, I’ll wait.

Now remember, as the Israelis do, that they have the weakest friend they have ever had in the US. Starting to get it?

There were 6 ships in this “flotilla”. The first five were searched with no incident and allowed to go on there way. On the 6th ship the Israelis were met with pipes, knives and other weapons. They were attacked upon landing and it never let up. The videos show this clearly. The Israelis only put down their paint ball guns and picked up their real weapons after it had been determined that they were in mortal danger. The fact that a number of Israelis are in the hospital would seem to make this clear.

What surprises me is that any thinking person would at this point continue to believe the msm’s account of anything. Do yourself a favor, travel to the region. Stay a while and get the feel of the place. Imagine you are Israel, a tiny country surrounded by people who deny your very existence and have been attacking you for decades. Go to Egypt, the home of the Muslim Brotherhood, the group that started most of this madness. They are alive and thriving and you can’t go to a mall without getting searched for weapons because these people kill even other Muslims if they don’t hate Israel and the Great Satan enough.

Did you know that you have to go to extreme lengths to get into Egypt if you have an Israeli stamp, not a passport mind you just a stamp, that you had been in Israel? Think about that. Egypt doesn’t even routinely allow people to enter who have visited Israel, and these people are reported as moderate. You know why they are moderate? Because we pay them a boat load of money every year to pretend they are, that’s why.

And then ask yourself why none of these pious Muslim countries (save for Jordan just a bit) has done anything to help the Palestinians in over 50 years except to incite them to war with Israel. These incredibly wealthy Arab states.

The answer is obvious, they don’t want the war against Israel to ever end. When you run an autocratic state, as virtually every Muslim country is, it’s best to have an external enemy to demonize lest the population take a hard look at who is ruling them. Pretty much been true since the beginning of time. Or were you unaware that Israel is the only indigenous democracy in the region and what these means?

Then tell me you need to see an unbiased clip. People like you, Nick, are going to get a lot more innocent people killed even if you don’t mean to.

Yes, I’m sure they showered the deck with knives and clubs before boarding, thus putting their soldiers in harm’s way…because if they could just film what happens next, THIS would be the one time when the UN and the legacy media would believe their own lying eyes and figure out that the evil jooooooos aren’t so evil.

That is no different than the thought that the blockade run was a plan of Jihadists.

Yes, because jihadists, and Palis in particular have always shown great restraint and do not have a demonstrated history of martyrdom to achieve their goals.
