    That’s OK – it’s early yet. Things need to settle down. The thing I noticed is that everyone seems to be rioting against Mubarak, and what he does, is fire the government.

    This is known as “being without a clue”.

    Another thing not covered by the news is the fate of Egypt’s antiquities. The Cairo Museum holds a lot of 5,000-year-old treasures. Early reports say that some of the museum’s holdings have been destroyed, but not many. Here’s a newslink:

    Luckily, most of Egypt’s ancient treasures were taken out of the country decades ago, to rest in peace in British and German museums.

    That headline: “Iranian leaders hoping for Islamic republic in Egypt” lets us wonder if the end result will be worse than it is now.
