Video: Allen West Digs In – Apology To Wasserman-Schultz “Not Happening”

Good for him. He didn’t say anything in his email that wasn’t absolutely true. And the fact of the matter is, she’s the one who made it public, not him.

Fox News reported

Rep. Allen West dug in his heels after congressional Democrats called on him to apologize for a heated email he sent to the Democratic Party chairwoman, adamantly denying reports that he had already done so.

West claims he was in his right to send fellow Florida Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz an email Tuesday calling her “vile” and “not a lady,” in response to her criticism of him on the House floor.

“Don’t poke me in the chest, that’s the bottom line,” he told Fox Business Network on Thursday, adding that an apology is “not happening.”

Democrats, of course, are trying to make political hay over the letter, hoping to paint West as some sort of anti-woman bigot because of his less than flattering words towards Wasserman-Schultz.

Weasel Zippers reports, House Dem Congresswomen Demand GOP Leadership Condemn Allen West, Accuse Him Of Sexual Harassment…

(Politico) — Several House Democratic women on Wednesday called on Rep. Allen West to apologize to Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz for his e-mail that called her “vile,” “despicable” and “not a Lady.”

The lawmakers said they were sending a letter to House GOP leadership, asking them to condemn the e-mail from the freshman Florida Republican. The group of five House Democrats said West’s e-mail was indicative of a larger problem — both inside Congress and out — of gender discrimination in the workplace.

“For his own good, they ought to take him into the woodshed and say, ‘if you want to survive in this work environment, you’ve got to keep your word, you’ve got to be cordial and congenial and civil even when you’re disagreeing,” said Rep. Gwen Moore (D-Wis.) “It makes for a very hard career otherwise.”

“Sticks and stones will not break Congresswoman Wasserman Schultz’s bones, and neither will Congressman West’s Blackberry,” added Rep. Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) who charged that in other workplaces, West would be hit with a sexual harassment claim.

There was nothing in that letter that could be construed as “sexual harassment”. He called her “vile,” “despicable” and “not a lady”. He could have just s easily called  a male colleague, “vile,” “despicable” and “not a gentleman”.  This is straight out of the Dem victim-mentality playbook.

  1. Not “Digs In.” Rather, “Stands Up For Fundamental Human Dignity” against the baying jackals trying to destroy American civilization.

  2. There were several other things he could have called her and probably should have just to keep the howling dogs of NOW off his back, but I thought his rebuff of responses to his e-mail were spot-on.

Uhhhh, no. Sexual harassment is sexual harassment is sexual harassment. It doesn’t really phase in and out of existance depending on where it happens. But then Jackie probably believes in the jobs “saved or created” too. After all, its another compelling myth.

  4. Gosh, Ms. Speier, I guess that’s one of the drawbacks to making Congress exempt from any law it passes, huh?

Somehow, I just can’t get into the sad feeling Ms. Speier wants me to have. Maybe it’s because I think the Congress is filled with undeserving pigs to begin with? Especially with those from the Great Sty of Californicate.
