I just tuned in to the Press conference – it started over an hour ago – but apparently his “cold case posse” found Obama’s birth certificate to be a forgery. Now, they’re trying to find out who perpetrated the forgery. He refuses to accuse the President of anything. He claims to just be trying to get the facts. The media, as you can imagine have been mostly hostile in its questioning – not interested in Arpaio’s findings, just his motivations.

The posse says it has identified at least one person of interest in the alleged forgery of Obama’s birth certificate.
Arapaio, known for his strict enforcement of immigration laws, commissioned the investigative team after local citizens presented him with a petition expressing concern that Obama might not be eligible for Arizona’s presidential ballot.

The posse, comprised of former law enforcement officers and lawyers with law enforcement experience, has interviewed dozens of witnesses and examined hundreds of documents. It also has taken numerous sworn statements from witnesses around the world.

Mike Zullo, Arpaio’s lead investigator, said his team believes the Hawaii Department of Health has engaged in a systematic effort to hide from public inspection any original 1961 birth records it may have in its possession.
“Officers of the Hawaii Department of Health and various elected Hawaiian public officials may have intentionally obscured 1961 birth records and procedures to avoid having to release to public inspection and to the examination of court-authorized forensic examiners any original Obama 1961 birth records the Hawaii Department of Health may or may not have,” Zullo said.
The investigators say the evidence contained in the computer-generated PDF file released by the White House as well as important deficiencies in the Hawaii process of certifying the long-form birth certificate establish probable cause that a forgery has been committed.
The investigation was launched after 250 members of the Surprise, Ariz., Tea Party, presented a signed petition to Arpaio in August 2011 asking him to undertake the investigation.
The Tea Party members petitioned under the premise that if a forged birth certificate was used to place Barack Obama on the 2012 Arizona presidential ballot, their rights as Maricopa County voters could be compromised.
Arpaio believes a congressional investigation might be warranted and has asked that any information relevant to the investigation held by other law enforcement agencies be forwarded to his office.
One interesting tidbit I picked up was their mention of a witness who is willing to come forward, who knew Obama in the ’80’s. Apparently, this person remembers talking to Obama in front of Bill Ayers’ mother’s house, talking about how they were helping him go to school here in the United States as a foreign student.

Arpaio has bought himself a whole truckload of grief. Not only will the LSM intensify their efforts to paint him as a kook, someone in the WH will indicate that Arpaio is to be targeted with what will make the presidential campaign look like a Sunday Tea. I hope he’s ready to retire because after the Chicago Thug Gang gets through with him he won’t be able to set up shop anywhere in the world.
And as far as Obhammud being a foreign student, I’ve been preaching that for at least two years. That’s why none of his college records are available and never will be, that and the fact that they would indicate not only is he a foreign student but will have religious preference (Muslim) and that he is admitted as an affirmative action student (read: he didn’t qualify by merit so we ignored the rules and admitted an unqualified person to take up space instead of a student capable of learning and completing the work assigned based solely on the color of his skin – in other words, we’re racists but we’ve redefined that term as “affirmative action” so it sounds better).
It would be nice if Arpaio succeeds, but don’t hold your breath.

There is so much fire behind this smoke, it’s not even funny. And you should have heard the “journalists” in attendance – asking hostile questions to Arpaio about what was motivating HIM to investigate, and isn’t there a DOJ investigation of HIM.

Unless they find something to “charge” him with, that would remove him from Office, this guy will continue to get re-elected as long as he decides to run.
