Pat Caddell: National Security Adviser Tom Donilon Likely Source of Intelligence Leaks (Updated)

Via Big Government:

Pat Caddell joined Stephen K. Bannon on the “Victory Sessions” and told him that National Security Advisor Tom Donilon is likely the source of recent intelligence leaks that have prompted calls for an investigation by Democrat Senator Diane Feinstein. Caddell explains that he is certain Donilon is the source of the leaks because of his background as a political operative and a known “leaker”.

Watch the  interview at Big Government.

Caddell said, “the culprit is clear, it’s National Security Adviser, Tom Donilon…..He is a political hack.

Back in October of 2010, in what was taken by many at the time to be a signal that the President had no interest in pivoting to the right in the wake of the the mid-term Dem-shellacking,  Obama appointed Tom Donilon to be his National Security Adviser, taking the place of the outgoing Marine General Jim Jones.

John, at Powerline provided a little background information on the President’s new National Security Adviser:

For a long time, Donilon lived his life from presidential campaign to campaign.

The Democratic operative worked on his first Democratic National Convention at 24, and he’s been helping elect candidates ever since. He has worked for Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton and Joseph R. Biden. …

He was a registered lobbyist from 1999 through 2005, and his sole client was Fannie Mae. … His brother is Michael C. Donilon, a counselor to Vice President Joseph R. Biden. His wife, Cathy Russell, is Jill Biden’s chief of staff.

Andrew McCarthy noted at the time that Defense Sec. Robert Gates had been quoted as saying that Tom Donilon would be “a disaster” if appointed national security adviser.

According to Bob Woodward’s book, Obama’s Wars Gates described Donilon, as clueless when it comes to the military and was deeply offended by the disrespect the former Fannie Mae lobbyist showed to senior military leadership.

The RNC has a profile on the Dem political operative who is now Obama’s Natl Security Adviser, here.

Doug Ross also reported that Donilon had a direct hand in destroying the housing market as Fannie Mae executive.

You really must listen to Caddell rail against the guy. Several times during the interview, Bannon cautioned Caddell to moderate his tone – he was sounding so harsh….

But Caddell stuck to his guns, saying,  “anyone who knows him knows, Tom Donilon will put being elected and the ambition of thinking that he should be Sec of State…above anything!

It almost sounds like Caddell is on a vendetta. I’ll definitely be watching Hannity tonight.

UPDATE:

Jim Hoft has the video of Caddell on Hannity.

House Oversight Committee Schedules Contempt Vote for Holder

After watching Holder’s disastrous performance at the Judiciary hearing, last Thursday, I knew this was coming.

Issa  told Greta Van Sustern, Thursday night that the process he and Boehner had agreed to been exhausted, and that the Speaker was “close to the end of his rope.”

He expected a decision to be made before the 4th of July. Well, the decision came sooner than many of us expected:

The House Oversight and Government Reform Committee has scheduled a vote for next week to consider holding Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress over the controversial Fast and Furious gun-tracking operation.

Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., released a 64-page memo in early May outlining the case for holding the attorney general in contempt. The chairman based his argument around Holder’s failure to respond to an October 2011 subpoena for internal Justice Department documents on the operation.

The committee’s vote for contempt is scheduled for June 20.

“The Obama administration has not asserted Executive Privilege or any other valid privilege over these materials, and it is unacceptable that the Department of Justice refuses to produce them,” Issa said in a statement Monday, accusing Holder of having “failed to meet his legal obligations.”

Issa  told Fox News that the reason Holder hasn’t cited executive privilege is because “cover-ups are never covered by executive privilege”.

Rest here.

David Codrea, Gun Rights Examiner: ATF whistleblower site members not buying Holder’s ‘Fast and Furious’ testimony:

Weekend reactions from CleanUp ATF forum comment posters to Attorney General Eric Holder’s Thursday testimony before the House Judiciary Committee on the Fast and Furious “gunwalking” criminal operation show disbelief, anger and contempt. The website, established by so-called “dissident” ATF agents and whistleblowers to expose and rectify agency waste, abuse, corruption and fraud, was the initial source for information about walked guns found at the murder scene of Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry, and much further information has been obtained from its members throughout the courses of Congressional and media investigations.

“Watching the latest soap starring Eric Holder…who apparently thinks the rest of us are just too damned stupid to figure out that the use of ‘fast and furious’ DOES actually indicate OPERATION ‘fast and furious’ is being referenced,” member Excalibur-2112 observed in a thread titled “Looks like the dope finally stepped in it…Eric Holder.”

Coney Island Kindergartner Sings “God Bless The USA” on Fox and Friends

Luz Lozada, the outspoken mother of a Kindergartner at PS90 in NYC, visited FNC’s Brian Kilmeade and shared the story of how her son, Daniel Mitchell (along with the rest of the graduating Kindergarten class) was banned by the Principal Greta Hawkins, from singing Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the USA”. She is the same mom who was interviewed in the New York Post article over the weekend:

The song was sung by fifth graders, last year, and “Everybody applauded and whistled,” the mom said. “They gave it a standing ovation.”

Instead the kiddies will be singing a Justin Bieber song –  “Baby”, a song about teenage love featuring lyrics such as, “Are we an item? Girl, quit playing.”

Lozada’s son Daniel’s rendition of the song “God Bless the USA” will bring tears to the eyes of sentimental Americans, and I suspect eye-rolls from lefties:

You know what that was for me? It was the polar opposite of the feeling I got when I saw Rev. Wright in action at TUCC for the first time, bellowing, “G*d damn America!” and “the US of KKKA”, with the whole congregation whooping and hollering in approval. That brought tears to my eyes, too – but they were tears of horror, and…despair. The racial divide was much larger than I ever realized, and I wondered if there was any hope for reconciliation between the races when such monstrous race baiting was going on — in houses of worship, yet.

This sweet child’s innocent rendition of a patriotic ditty is the antidote to such despair.
