The Sad and Tawdry Line-up for the Democrat Convention in Charlotte

Oh, this is fun. I was wondering who the Democrats were going to have speaking at the Obamacrat Convention. The smarter ones are staying away.  That leaves hardcore progs from deep blue districts and other assorted Obama loyalists and hangers on.

Check out this “murderers row” as Ace calls it:

 Speakers:

Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin of Wisconsin

Newark Mayor Cory Booker

Former President Jimmy Carter (via video)

San Antonio Mayor Julian Castro, who will be the first Latino keynote speaker at a Democratic National Convention

Former President Bill Clinton

Former Republican Governor of Florida Charlie Crist

Former Assistant Secretary, U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs Tammy Duckworth

Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel

Georgetown Law School Graduate Sandra Fluke

Charlotte Mayor Anthony Foxx

Former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm

California Attorney General Kamala D. Harris

Colorado Governor John Hickenlooper

Montana State Superintendent of Public Instruction Denise Juneau

Former Virginia Governor Tim Kaine

Congresswoman Barbara Lee of California

CarMax co-founder and former CEO Austin Ligon

Former Governor of North Carolina Jim Hunt

The Honorable Karen Mills

Congressman David Price of North Carolina

The Honorable Ken Salazar

The Honorable Kathleen Sebelius

The Honorable Tom Vilsack

Congressman Mel Watt of North Carolina

Seriously?! Where are the beloved leaders of the party –  Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid? (See update.) No Hillary?! Most of the names l recognize are toxic progs like Sebelius, Barbara Lee, Gov. O’Malley, Barbara Mikulski and Salazar or repugnant has beens like  Jimmah, BJ, and Lurch, not to mention one reviled political opportunist, Charlie Crist, and one very unappealing vagina advocate, Sandra Fluke. The icing on the cake of course is that the hostess of this mess will be the deeply unappealing Debbie Wasserman Schultz – (with relaxed curls and massive amounts of stage makeup.) What a train wreck.

Compare to the RNC all-star line-up:

Tuesday, August 28

Wednesday, August 29

Thursday, August 30

All said, I fully expect to see plenty of “surprise” guests added to the DNC program to make up for the dearth of excitement in their scheduled speakers. Keep in mind, team O is acutely aware that they have to win the youth vote, and the ignoramus vote in huge numbers, so plenty of razzle-dazzle is in order. Hollywood is all in for Obama, so I expect to see some hip, young, A-list stars. I also suspect he’ll have an Olympic gold medalist or two from this years’ games.

UPDATE:

The list has gotten a little sadder and tawdrier since I posted this, yesterday. Looks like beloved Dems, Reid and Pelosi will be speaking, after all!

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi

House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi will also lead a presentation of the women of the House:

Hooboy…

Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut
Congresswoman Carolyn Maloney of New York
Congresswoman Nydia Velazquez of New York
Congresswoman Gwen Moore of Wisconsin
Congresswoman Allyson Schwartz of Pennsylvania
Congresswoman Donna Edwards of Maryland
Candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives Joyce Beatty of Ohio
Candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives Tulsi Gabbard of Hawaii

California Assembly Speaker John A. Pérez

Congressman Jared Polis of Colorado

Congressman David Price of North Carolina

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid of Nevada

  1. It will be a celebration of abortion, infanticide, perverted sex, Islamic barbarians, hate America, hate white people, etc.

  3. The RNC runs a hopeful message of American melting-pot success; the Dems counter with Abortapalooza. You tell me which is going to be more successful.

  4. I’m curious will their be any speakers who knew Obama say 10 or more years ago? Sure we know “who he is” after 3 1/2 years as President but still no one with fond memories of his help in a time of need or support in a time of grief?

  5. Corey Booker and Michael Nutter aren’t bad—they’re worth listening to on a lot of issues. And Corey has been slapped back onto the plantation for daring to disagree with the Anointed One. But you never know, he might slip his leash as it wree, and have something interesting to say. Barbara Lee is just plain nuts. Kamala Harris–she’s one of the smarter people in San Francisco, and if she were from a more conservative place–say Wichita, she might be interesting. If Ms. Longoria chooses to wear a see through blouse, well I might watch.

  6. “Both living Democratic ex-presidents are speaking”.. Hee Hee! …Yes they are.
Can’t wait to see Jimmuh to pass the crown for Worst President Ever to King Puttsalot.
But we’ll just have to wait and see if BJ makes it to the podium. After all, the hookers are going to be thick as fleas around the convention, and Cankles is otherwise occupied, somewhere on the other side of the world.

  7. That’s a lot of failures at the DNC. Look at the governors who have completely sucked: Patrick, Granholm, Kaine, Crist, O’Malley. What a pile of stiffs.

  8. I think it’s safe to say that most viewers and participants of the RNC Convention last night were deeply moved by the “personal stories” that were shared by people with direct involvement with Mitt. I know I was. While some of the stories were directly related to Mitt’s service and commitment to his Church, it seems that some of those relationships has lasted for many years. All while he was committed to his Family, Business, Public Service [as Governor and for the Olympics]. I found it amazing he was able to accomplish any of it.

I’ll be listening with a thirsty ear, when the dnc next week brings ALL the personal acquaintances of the President’s from Chicago and elsewhere forward and are able to share some of their experiences. Afterall, he was as he proudly proclaims and likes to remind us all the time a “Community Organizer”, for years. Who made a living out of interacting with the members of his community. I waiting to hear how many Turkey Dinners he and MocHELL delivered on Thanksgiving morning, not to mention the clothes they folded for the Families he was serving.

Just in case I happen to miss it, someone please steer me in the right direction. I don’t want to miss it.

[BTW, a perfect opportunity MAY have be with his Brother George who needed money for his child’s operation in Kenya.]

  9. So what’s the carbon footprint of all of these Democrats coming into Charlotte from all across America? Isn’t that sort of thing supposed to be a big deal to these people?

  10. Don’t believe I want to see or hear any of those people ever again. It will take work on my part, but I believe I am up to the part. In my neighborhood, during that democrat meeting, we will have some block parties that will feature good snacks, fun conversation, a Clint Eastwood film festival, a slew of W.C. Fields movies, and lots of entertaining parlour games such as “pin the tail on obama.” One film maker down the street will have a guaranteed to be fun montage of media criticism of Republican “lies” and their outrage over Clint Eastwood’s excellent and professional skewering of The Incredible Shrinking President Obama.

  11. Outside of Cory Booker, who I admire….. WHAT a collection of pathetic/evil losers! Amazing!

All that is missing will be the giant Code Pink vaginas parading around the various wealthy baby killers, that Fluke weasel, Fauxcahontas Warren, and the vicious monster Kathleen Sebelius.

  12. I’m a writer/researcher for Mike Huckabee’s radio show, and we’ll have to watch all of this whine-fest, just so we can recap it. Never mind “Julia” or Sandra Fluke or any of their other famous victims, pity us! We’re throwing ourselves on this propaganda bomb to save the rest of you. Maybe the Democrats will propose some sort of government aid program, to help us survive after half our brain cells are blown away by this angry, toxic dreck.

BTW, our thought on Thursday night’s GOP convention was that the Dems are really in a bad spot if they want to answer back. The Republicans found all those people who knew and loved Mitt, and they still haven’t found anybody who even KNEW Obama.

  13. Oh, look at the bright side: it will be the democrats’ update of Ed Wood’s “Plan 9 From Outer Space” with Biden in the Tor Johnson role and the lovely Nancy Pelosi reprising the role played by Vampira in the original cult classic. There will also be a cameo appearance by Crissie Matthews as Glen-Glenda (in white cashmere sweater) talking to an empty chair. I await Roger Ebert’s instant review with bated breath.

  18. Being as thin skinned as these people are, you can bet that they will try and do an “Eastwood” to Romney and Ryan. You can also bet that they will fail – as they do so much of the time – and will end up only beclowning themselves once again. No spot for Bidenopulous?

  19. With the additions of such luminaries as Pelousy and Dingy, I’m thinking maybe Duh-1 himself won’t show up and that’s why they decided to come after all…

‘Course, it could just be that someone (I’m not accusing anyone at the DoJ or WH of coercion) told them that the dirt will mysteriously become public if they didn’t show…

But, then again, I don’t know of a jackass in history as squeaky-clean as Mittens or Ryan, although I’m open to the very remote possibility that there has been at least one. One chance in a billion is still a chance…

  20. The thing that said it all for me was about half the speakers on the dem list started with the word FORMER. The repubs had real successful young Governors, the dems have a bunch of has beens. It indicates to me how pathetic the bench of the dem party is now.

  23. I am enjoying the DNC immensely: it is like a remake of Ed Wood’s “Plan 9 From Outer Space” with Plugs Biden in the Tor Johnson part, the lovely Nancy Pelosi bringing new depth to the part originally played by Vampira and Harry Reid in a cameo of the ill and doddering Bela Lugosi. Deb Schultz and the condom lady Fluke are costumed as meter maids and play the part of the two wisecracking idiot cops in the original film.

IN a sub plot, TV comedian Chris Matthews, wearing the original white Angora sweater used by Ed Wood in his bio-Epic flick “Glen/Glenda” will sing “The Sun Will Come Up Tomorrow” in falsetto to introduce Obie the Magnificent as the democrat candidate……either Muslim in hiding or some Rev. Wright brand of retro blabtist redistributionist get whitey I wants me a white bride religion. Some choice. Believe I’ll pop me another frosty Dr Pepper, light up a good cigar and wait for the rapture.
