Obama Knows What Ordinary Folks Want (Video)

At a press conference following his much ballyhooed fiscal cliff photo op with Republican and Democratic leaders, this afternoon,  Obama took up for “ordinary folks” and trashed Congress for not doing their job.

Because nobody knows more about what we ordinary folks want than this former boyscout choom gang member and entrepreneur  community organizer from Middle America Indonesia/Hawaii/Chicago, right?

“Ordinary folks, they do their jobs. They meet deadlines. They sit down and discuss things and then things happen. It there are disagreements they sort through the disagreements. The notion that our elected leadership can’t do the same thing is mind-boggling to them. It needs to stop. So I’m modestly optimistic that an agreement can be achieved. Nobody’s going to get 100% of what they want. But let’s make sure that middle class families and the American economy and in fact the world economy aren’t adversely impacted because people can’t do their jobs.“

I should mention that Obama cut his Hawaiian golf vacation short (costing ordinary folks who pay taxes an extra $100,000-$200,00 in transportation costs) so he could meet with intransigent Republican leaders and push them to agree to the “Obama middle class tax cuts” (Obama’s a big tax cutter, you know) because he cares for us folks so deeply.

Obama reportedly told John Boehner that he  will use his inaugural address, and State of the Union to blame the GOP if we go over the cliff – because he has such a connection with ordinary folks all across the nation, he knows we will believe anything he says even if it’s a big fat lie.

I can tell you another thing a lot of ordinary folks are discussing as they “meet their deadlines” and “do their jobs” and that’s the $1 trillion in Obamacare job-killing tax hikes that are hitting on Jan. 1.

On January 1, regardless of the outcome of fiscal cliff negotiations, Americans will be hit with a $1 trillion Obamacare tax hike.

Obamacare contains twenty new or higher taxes. Five of the taxes hit for the first time on January 1.  In total, for the years 2013-2022, Americans face a net $1 trillion tax hike for the years 2013-2022, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

A majority of ordinary folks oppose ObamaCare, yet it is being thrust upon them, anyway. Oh well!

And even though most ordinary folks support the right to bear arms, Obama wants to restrict  our Second Amendment rights. Truth be told, he doesn’t think we folks should be allowed to own guns at all. (Shhhhh- don’t tell anyone I told you – I don’t think we’re supposed to know that.)

Another thing we ordinary folks are excited about – that raise for Biden, members of Congress, and federal Workers that Obama ordered. I’m so glad that while we in fly over country struggle to pay our Christmas credit card bills, at least the well heeled elites in America’s richest city will continue to prosper. Good for them. That should make the ordinary folks Obama is spamming for donations to pay for his inauguration ceremonies want to fork over even more of their hard earned cash to him.

Hobby Lobby employees from coast to coast were petitioning the government to force their employer to satisfy their contraception needs – wait…what? There was only one person who did anything like that – a left-wing activist and Democrat ringer named Sandra Fluke? Whoops. My bad.

Now, ordinary folks who work for Hobby Lobby get to worry if they’re going to still have a job in the not too distant future because of the possibility that their employer could be fined out of existence by the regime for refusing to offer contraception and abortifacient coverage in their health care plans.

Sometimes you have to break a few eggs to make an omelet, I’m told.

 I’m sure it was out of concern for middle class families and the American economy  that Obama just expanded his regulatory regime through executive fiat.

Many Americans believe the biggest problem the nation currently faces is the so-called fiscal cliff. Unfortunately, the fiscal cliff is nothing compared to the avalanche of new regulations that will be coming in 2013. That Americans remain unaware of this ominous development is understandable. The most transparent administration in history ignored the provisions of the Regulatory Flexibility Act and a subsequent series of executive orders that require the semi-annual release of all regulations under development or review by some 60 departments, agencies, and commissions. Thus, the April 2012 and October 2012 deadlines came and went without compliance. Now that the election is over, Americans will discover just how all-encompassing Obama and his big-government zealots intend to be.

The scope is staggering. According to the Competitive Enterprise Institute, the overall regulatory burden has reached $1.8 trillion annually, and $215.4 billion in compliance costs have been added in 2012 alone. The OMB’s Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs website reveals that 4,100 new regulations are in the pipeline, with more than 400 aimed at small businesses, whose compliance costs will exceed those of their larger competitors by 36 percent.

Wow, all that on top of the higher taxes – that’s not going to be helpful to middle class families and the economy at all….

Oh well – at least Obama cared enough about the folks, he cut his Hawaiian vacation short for a photo op.
