Jeanine Pirro Taunts the Journal News: “My Sources Tell Me You’re Scared – You’re Disconnecting Your Phones – You’re Hiding Behind People With Guns”

Judge Jeanine Pirro is one of the people in Westchester County whose name and address was publicized in the Journal News because she’s a legal gun owner. As a former District Attorney and Judge who has put criminals behind bars, their actions have made her less safe. Now that conservatives  have retaliated by posting the personal information of Journal News editors online, she enjoyed a little schadenfreude, Saturday evening on her Fox TV show, Justice With Jeanine Pirro, crowing, “don’t you love it when the tables are turned?”

After noting the colossal hypocrisy  of hiring “people with guns to protect them from the very danger they created”, she smiled, “might you have been hoisted on your own petard?”  Leaning forward, Pirro continued, “now that you’re under the microscope, you look like a deer in the headlights. You’re looking pretty weak, right now. My sources tell me you’re scared – you’re disconnecting your phones, you’re hiding behind people with guns after criticizing those of us who legally own them.”

“GET THE HELL out of your ELITIST EGGHEAD TOWER, put on your BIG BOY PANTS, FACE THE MUSIC and START ANSWERING QUESTIONS,” she angrily declared.

Lucky for them, she’s too much of a lady to broadcast their personal information on the air.

There is an old saying, God created man, Samuel Colt made them equal.

We saw the exercise in equality play out in the news just the other night when an intruder broke in on a woman and her two young children. They tried to hide from him in an attic crawl space. He sought them out. The woman had a .38 caliber revolver that she emptied into him, then escaped unharmed with her children. In another story in the news, a young woman in India and her boyfriend were on a bus, unarmed, when they were attacked by several men. The men beat the boyfriend, then gang raped and disemboweled the woman.

Those are anecdotes. So what happens on a meta-scale when a nation is disarmed, and people are unequal to the criminal element? For that, we can compare the U.S. and the U.K.

In the U.K., gun ownership is virtually banned. Even the police force in the U.K. is, for the most part, unarmed. Raw figures show that the UK has a lower homicide rate than the U.S., 1.2 per 100,000 of population in the U.K. versus 4.8 in the U.S. But when it comes to violent crime overall, the UK is a much greater hotbed than the U.S., with 2,034 violent criminal incidents in the U.K. per 100,000 of population versus 486 in the U.S. An anecdote from a British police officer gives a chilling feel for the ramifications of a disarmed society – where the criminals are very often more powerful at the point of the crime than either the citizens or the police.

We are the UN.  Other countries mostly join the U.N. to secure money, funding and training and few have any offensive combat capability. Most serve as guards at static locations and have no will to fight.  America is the enforcement arm of the U.N.  We have the money, equipment, personnel and lift platforms to get the job done.

If the president ever let the U.N. in this country, it would be a foreign invasion and armed Americans would stand up and crush them in a day. Our government would break down and the president would be ousted for letting foreign militaries invade our country.

Moe Lane: Barack Obama planning wide-range gun-grabbing:

Now, I’m not going to tell you that Nothing Will Ever Pass. Politics doesn’t work like that.  What I am saying is that initiatives like this reveal pretty comprehensively that the Democratic party is, at bottom, uncomfortable on an institutional level with the very concept of guns.  That this tracks pretty well with the march of the New Left through the Democratic party’s institutions is no accident.  In 2013 we are going to see the New Left put lots of pressure on recalcitrant Democratic politicians to renounce their affiliation to the basic civil right of self-defense; and while I do not expect Congress to pass any serious legislation along those lines while the GOP controls the House, we are going to see some notable defections among the Democrats.  If Obamacare taught us nothing else, it taught us that a Democratic politician is a Democrat first, a Democrat second – and, say, pro-life a distant third.

So I recommend that nobody trust anybody in the Democratic party to keep from mucking with the Second Amendment.  They’re a weak reed that will break in your hand.  Simple as that.

My conscience, and the urgency of our current situation, compel me to speak out.  The victim disarmament freaks are now telling us that they don’t want to disarm us– oh, no!  They just want to take away our “assault weapons” – our semi-automatic, magazine fed, military-style rifles – and the “high capacity” magazines that feed them.   They want us to believe that so long as we can own some kind of firearm, after our semi-auto military rifles are taken, we are not disarmed.  That is a LIE.

The truth is that our semi-automatic, military pattern rifles are the single most important kind of arm we can own, and are utterly necessary for effective defense of our lives, property, and liberty.    When you are disarmed of your military rifles, you are DISARMED.   At that time, the lion’s share of your military capacity to effectively resist tyranny is removed (yes, accurate bolt action hunting rifles are useful in that role too, but the semi-auto battle rifle is truly the Queen of battle, as Col. Jeff Cooper correctly noted).   It is a significant force on the battlefield, and as Patrick Henry said, when you give up that force, you are inevitably ruined.
