Residents of Erie County, New York swamped the State’s Q & A forum concerning the controversial NY Safe Act arms bill.
The passion and anger from the people was evident and reminiscent of the rowdy and passionate citizens who attended the ObamaCare townhalls of 2009. In the end, it didn’t matter what decent, hard-working, law abiding Americans thought. Obama will make sure ObamaCrats push through his top agenda items.
After a request from an audience member to recite the Pledge of Allegiance was ignored, the people took over and boisterously recited it anyway.
The State attempted to have private interviews with the media which alienated the crowd further, who then demanded transparency. Then the State wanted the questions from the audience to be private, which riled folks even more.
Questions asked by Western New Yorkers covered: non-compliance, penalties, jury nullification, 2nd Amendment profiling into domestic terrorists, government tyranny, police, sheriff, and more.
“When angry people get together, they form militias, folks”, one member of the audience said. “This country – this Western NY area is prime for something like that.”

Judge Jeanine Pirro had on Maricopa County Sheriff Arpaio from Phoenix and San Juan County Sheriff Ken Christessen from Santa Fe on her show to discuss the gun proposals being debated in Washington.
She started with Christessen, the NM Sheriffs Assoc. Chairman: “You not only believe that that the proposed federal gun regulations are unconstitutional, but will not let federal agents to come to your state to enforce those laws. Why is that?”
Christessen answered; “We’re not going to enforce those laws, and will do everything we can to protect the citizens of New Mexico.”
Arpaio suggested the feds enforce the laws that are already on the books, (a good idea since the Obama Regime has not made enforcement of existing guns laws a political or policy priority.)

USA Today reported that there are now more than 200 sheriffs on record opposing further gun restrictions.
Richard Mack, a gun rights advocate and former Arizona sheriff who now lives in Texas, is urging the defiance and says he has compiled a list of more than 200 sheriffs who have come out against further gun restrictions. There are 3,079 sheriffs in the USA, according to the National Sheriffs’ Association.
In Utah, 28 of the state’s 29 sheriffs signed a Jan. 17 letter to Obama saying it is “foolish and prejudiced” to “demonize firearms,” and that “malevolent souls” were to blame for shootings like the one that killed 26 children and staff at a school in Newtown, Conn., in December.
