At What Point Will America Have Had Enough Of Obama’s Constant Lying?

At what point is this country going to have had enough of this  shameless,  inveterate liar? He had to lie continually in 2008 in order to get elected, and he’s been a non stop geyser gushing lies, ever since.

Geoffrey L. Hunter of the American Thinker, wrote, “Lying has many shades; Obama has perfected the bald-faced type, the most jarring, with a repetition that files down the senses, grinds away at outrage.”

Obama is an incontinent bladder of lies, deceptions, and red herrings gushing virtually non-stop whether in press conferences, campaign speeches, the State of the Union addresses, or remarks to foreign dignitaries.

 Obama’s catalog of lies is truly astonishing:

Obama’s lying about the Supreme Court decision in Citizens United , about Al Qaeda “on the run,” about “deficits shrinking,” about Republicans initiating sequestration, about the Benghazi attacks incited by a video, about “you can keep your health plan and your doctor,”  about private sales of hand guns, and the latest about “we believe in the free market; we believe in a light touch when it comes to regulations,” is more than political rhetoric or partisan posturing.  Lying is a way of life; truth seems untouchable, toxic, red hot radioactive to Obama and his minions.

Obama’s lies from the past year have been particularly galling.

He’s maintained from Sept 12 to the present:  ‘We Will Hunt Down’ People Who Attacked Benghazi Consulate. On October 26, for instance, he told Kyle Clark of KUSA in Denver:

…the minute I found out what was going on I gave three very clear directives. Number one, make sure we are securing our personnel and that we are doing whatever we need to. Number two, we are going to investigate exactly what happened and make sure it doesn’t happen again. Number three, find out who did this so we can bring them to justice.

TRUTH: Yeah, no. Personnel weren’t secured when they could have been, their investigation was a joke – the sham “Accountability Review Board”  didn’t even interview Hillary Clinton, and Whistleblowers are afraid to come forward lest they face retribution of the sort Greg Hicks had to endure. Back in May, Obama blasted the congressional probe as a “political circus,” a “side show” and said there’s “no there, there.”  That’s how much he wants to “investigate exactly what happened.”  Needless to say, no one from the Regime has hunted down anyone in Benghazi, and the killers remain free. But the creator of the  YouTube video, remains in jail.

May 13, 2013: Obama Condemns IRS Targeting Conservative Groups: ‘This Is Outrageous’ And ‘I Will Not Tolerate It’:

During a press conference in the White House on Monday, President Barack Obama was asked about reports that the Internal Revenue Service targeted conservative groups for added scrutiny over the course of the last two years. The president condemned the actions of members of the IRS who enforced federal tax laws in a partisan fashion. “I’ve got no patience with it,” Obama said. “I will not tolerate it.” “I first learned about this from the same news reports that I think most people learned about this,” Obama began. “This is pretty straightforward. If, in fact, IRS personnel engaged in the kind of practices that have been reported on and were intentionally targeting conservative groups, then that’s outrageous.” “And they have to be held fully accountable, because the IRS as an independent agency requires absolute integrity and people have to have confidence that they’re applying it in a nonpartisan way – applying the laws in a nonpartisan way,” Obama continued.

Journalists reported that with a straight face. I kid you not.

TRUTH: The White House has been desperately trying to spin this into a bipartisan problem in which progressives were targeted, too. Meanwhile,  IRS officials who were in charge while the abuses were happening, have been given bonuses and/or promotions. The one guy Obama supposedly “fired” was scheduled to leave in June, anyway. And he replaced him with another Regime stooge.

June 7, 2013: Obama: Obamacare has already resulted in ‘Lower Rates’ in California.

Speaking in San Jose on Friday, the president heralded California’s implementation of his signature legislative accomplishment, which has resulted in an insurance marketplace that’s offering rates lower than anyone expected.

TRUTH: Obamacare will raise the cost of health insurance policies in California by a “staggering 64% to 146%.”

June 26, 2013: Obama: I won’t make churches conduct gay marriages:

President Obama, in his statement hailing the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the Defense of Marriage Act, promised that he wouldn’t try to force religious institutions to conduct gay marriages. “On an issue as sensitive as this, knowing that Americans hold a wide range of views based on deeply held beliefs, maintaining our nation’s commitment to religious freedom is also vital,” Obama said. “How religious institutions define and consecrate marriage has always been up to those institutions.  Nothing about this decision — which applies only to civil marriages — changes that.”

TRUTH: He knows the attacks on the Church will happen via the courts. And he will fan the flames, himself.

June 29, 2013: Obama: I’m Not Spying On You.

“The American people don’t have a Big Brother who is snooping into their business,” he said, amplifying his answer to a question about the hunt for a national security leaker. “I’m confident of that. But I want to make sure everybody is confident of that.”

TRUTH: Yeah, guess what.. I don’t believe him.

What kind of chump believes a single thing this guy says at this point? Obama had exposed himself as a ridiculous, pathological liar by the beginning of the 2008 election season to anyone who was paying close attention. I finally had to give up my own effort to tabulate the daily lies coming from Obama and his campaign because it became too much of a drag on my time. Keeping up with Zero’s lies is a full time job. Not that there aren’t some industrious souls out there doing the hard work the media refuses to do.

Now, even Obama’s most faithful drones can’t help but notice the guy tells about 5 whoppers a day, but they’ll defend him to the bitter end. All politicians lie, right?  They’re happy to embrace  Obama’s culture of deceit as long as it leads us ever closer to the final transformation they dream about – the Utopia  that is in reality a dystopia,  but the drones will be the last ones to figure it out. The rest of us, are being dragged kicking and screaming into the dark,  Islam-friendly, virulently anti-Christian, collectivist,  totalitarian hell-state Obama seems to want to take us.

Look What Egyptians Are Saying About Obama’s Awesome Ambassador To Egypt (Part II)

Hundreds of thousands of Egyptians are demonstrating today in opposition to Obama’s close buddy,  President Mohamed Morsi. They are “launching an all-out push to force Mohammed Morsi from office on the one-year anniversary of his inauguration.” It only took one year for Obama’s Muslim Brotherhood’s pal’s corrupt and thuggish Islamic government to drive hundreds of thousands of  citizens to the streets in protest. (Of course, it only took Obama one month.)

Fears of violence were high, with Morsi’s Islamist supporters vowing to defend him.

Waving Egyptian flags and posters of Morsi crossed out in red, crowds packed central Cairo’s Tahrir square, the birthplace of the 2011 uprising against autocrat Hosni Mubarak, thunderous chants of “erhal!”, or “leave!” rang out.

On Saturday the group announced it had more than 22 million signatures – proof, it claims, that a broad sector of the public no longer wants Morsi in office.

It was not possible to verify the claim. If true, it would be nearly twice the around 13 million people who voted for Morsi in last year’s presidential run-off election, which he won with around 52 percent of the vote. Tamarod organizers said they discarded about 100,000 signed forms because they were duplicates.

Morsi’s supporters have questioned the authenticity and validity of the signatures, but have produced no evidence of fraud.

This week Raymond Ibrahim reported on a troubling Libyan intelligence document. It asserts that the Muslim Brotherhood, including Egyptian President Morsi, were involved in the September 11, 2012 terrorist attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi.

On Wednesday, June 26, several Arabic websites … quoted the intelligence report, which apparently was first leaked to the Kuwaiti paper, Al Ra’i… It discusses the preliminary findings of the investigation, specifically concerning an “Egyptian cell” which was involved in the consulate attack. “Based on confessions derived from some of those arrested at the scene” six people, “all of them Egyptians” from the jihad group Ansar al-Sharia (“Supporters of Islamic Law), were arrested.

According to the report, during interrogations, these Egyptian jihadi cell members “confessed to very serious and important information concerning the financial sources of the group and the planners of the event and the storming and burning of the U.S. consulate in Benghazi…. And among the more prominent figures whose names were mentioned by cell members during confessions were:Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi; preacher Safwat Hegazi; Saudi businessman Mansour Kadasa, owner of the satellite station, Al-Nas; Egyptian Sheikh Muhammad Hassan; former presidential candidate, Hazim Salih Abu Isma’il…”

Ever since assuming the office of President on June 30, 2012, Mursi has been extremely clearabout his strong desire to have the “Blind Sheikh” released. The Washington Post reported that Mursi “assumed office with a pledge to press the United States for Abdel Rahman’s release” and that al-Qaeda’s number one – Ayman al-Zawahiri – echoed the sentiment (EXHIBIT K).

Fox News reported on July 3, 2012, that Mursi “proclaimed to hundreds of thousands of supporters in Tahir Square… that he will gain the release of Rahman” (EXHIBIT L).

In an interview between CNN’s Wolf Blitzer and Mursi from January 7th of this year, Mursi doubled down on his support for the release of Rahman (the “Blind Sheikh”) while making an appeal for sympathy for the mass murderer (EXHIBIT M):

While admitting his desire for the release of the “Blind Sheikh”, Mursi said that if release is not possible, increased visitation and freedom should be granted to Rahman. A letter attributed to Rahman appeared in an al-Qaeda’s Inspire magazine (EXHIBIT N). In an article published by The Hill, Rep. Peter King (R-NY) pointed to this letter in which the convicted terrorist is credited with ordering a bombing in western Egypt in 1997 that killed dozens of people. This demonstrated that the “Blind Sheikh” still has deadly tentacles.

Four-star Admiral James Lyons (Ret.) who on November 14, 2012, appeared on Fox Business Network with Lou Dobbs (EXHIBIT O). During that interview, Lyons said he believed the only reason that made any sense relative to Ambassador Stevens being in Benghazi on 9/11 was a kidnapping operation in which Stevens could be traded for the “Blind Sheikh”:

Consider the itinerary for Ambassador Stevens, who arrived in Benghazi on 9/10/12 and was scheduled to depart on 9/14/12 (EXHIBIT P). That the State Department’s top official in Libya would be sent to Benghazi one day before the anniversary of 9/11 is indeed vexing but that he would be sent to a location that was woefully unprotected and had been attacked with an I.E.D. that blew a large hole in the perimeter wall is beyond troubling. There had been several terrorist attacks on western installations as well prior to September 11th as chronicled in a letter (EXHIBIT Q) from House Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa to President Barack Obama.

I bet most if not all of Congress already knows the truth about this.

Judge Jeanine Pirro began her show, Saturday night by weighing in on the second IRS official to plead the 5th before the House Oversight Committee hearing. Pirro noted how convenient for members of this left wing administration, which has shown itself to have little respect for the Constitution, to suddenly become super- patriotic Constitutionalists – wrapping themselves in the American flag -when they need to invoke their 5th amendment right to remain silent.

She called it part of the Obama administration’s playbook: “First deny, then lie, then commit perjury, and if you can’t beat the clock, and if they’re still coming after you, plead the Fifth.”

So true. And, sadly,  they keep getting away with it. As Pirro noted, “Their abuses keep plaguing the American people.”

She went on to blast the outrageous bonuses the IRS gave out to their biggest miscreants, and even mentioned $46 million they sent to one  address in Atlanta, (another outrage that is simmering beneath the surface.) “Forget Star Trek”, the Judge quipped, “their parody should have been Dumb and Dumber.” Addressing the president, she asked, “were you so shocked that these bunch of idiots you have working for you didn’t burn the building down, that now you think you should give out bonuses?”

She then moved on to the credit card scandal, and exclaimed, “why do these people even have credit cards!” I know, right?

She said, until the IRS comes clean – (people are held accountable, and people start losing their jobs)  our tax dollars should go into an escrow account. They shouldn’t be able to see it, or spend another penny of our money on themselves – let alone get millions in bonuses, and target the rest of us. “You’re a bunch of bullies!” Pirro declared. “They say in our society we have zero tolerance for bullies. I’m not so sure that’s the case, here.”

Saturday Movie Matinee: Oversight and Reform Panel Votes IRS’ Lerner Waived Fifth Amendment Right

I saw Trey Gowdy give a lengthy and impassioned speech on the House floor, Friday, explaining how and why Lois Lerner waived her 5th Amendment rights. Not having watched the entire hearing live, I was wondering  why he felt that was  necessary – this is a no-brainer, right?

As Krauthammer noted the day Lois Lerner appeared before Congress,  it was “clear” that she had given up her 5th Amendment rights.

Well, as Democrats circle the wagons around the corrupt and embattled Regime, they are struggling mightily to pretend they are victims of Issa’s Oversight tyranny (or something) and carrying on like pathetic crybabies – frustrated that their stalling tactics aren’t working..

The House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform approved a resolution Friday determining that IRS official Lois Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment protection against self-incrimination when she made opening statements in a May hearing before refusing to answer further questions.

She will likely invoke her Fifth Amendment privilege again, at which point a vote could be held to hold her in contempt of Congress.From Reuters:

A contempt of Congress vote could lead to her being prosecuted in a court and subject her to a maximum $1,000 fine and potential 12-month prison sentence. Lerner is now on administrative leave and has been replaced in her post.

As this document from CRS points out, there are three different ways non-compliance with subpoenas can be enforced. First, there’s the argument that Congress itself has “inherent power” to detain and/or imprison someone in contempt.  Clearly, that’s not going to happen — and given that Lerner is a member of the executive branch, it would probably provoke a constitutional (separation of powers) crisis if it did.

Second, Congress can certify a contempt citation to the DOJ for criminal prosecution of the person in contempt.  Does anyone think that’s going anywhere in Eric Holder’s department?  Yup — didn’t think so.

Third, Congress may seek redress from a federal court, asking for a declaratory judgment that the person is legally obligated to testify.  There are two problems, however, with this approach.  First, it would take a long time (a fact that plays right into Democrat hands).  Second, it’s far from clear that the court would agree with congressional assertions that Lerner waived her Fifth Amendment rights.

The dismissal comes 70 days after Marcum wore an NRA T-Shirt to his Logan County, WV school and was told to take the shirt off. Marcum refused to do so, citing his First Amendment right to celebrate his Second Amendment rights. He was consequently charged with obstruction of justice.

Speaking about the dismissal, Marcum’s attorney Ben White said, “I think, with the gun issue, with what’s going on, this is a victory for common sense.”

Federal Appeals Court Rules In Favor Of Hobby Lobby

A federal appeals court ruled Thursday that Hobby Lobby, and its sister company, Mardel bookstores should be allowed to seek exception from the part of the ObamaCare mandate that violates their religious beliefs.

The 10th Circuit Court of Appeals in Denver said the companies can proceed with their lawsuit and can probably win, great news for Hobby Lobby, Mardel,and for the dozens of lesser known businesses with similar lawsuits in various states.

Hobby Lobby was facing fines of up to $475 million for failing to comply with the law, or pay $26 million to the government if it dropped its health care plan altogether.

The judges indicated that the Oklahoma court should have granted the companies an injunction with such serious financial penalties on the line.

The judges unanimously sent the case back to a lower court in Oklahoma, which had rejected the companies’ request for an injunction to prevent full enforcement of the new law.

“Hobby Lobby and Mardel have drawn a line at providing coverage for drugs or devices they consider to induce abortions, and it is not for us to question whether the line is reasonable,” the judges wrote. “The question here is not whether the reasonable observer would consider the plaintiffs complicit in an immoral act, but rather how the plaintiffs themselves measure their degree of complicity.”

Hobby Lobby Stores Inc., Mardel Inc. and their owners, the Green family, argue for-profit businesses — not just religious groups — should be allowed to seek an exception if the law violates their religious beliefs. The owners approve of most forms of artificial birth control, but not those that prevent implantation of a fertilized egg — such as an IUD or the morning-after pill.

The appeals court slapped down the DOJ’s obnoxious argument that  allowing for-profit corporations the option to exempt themselves from regulations that violate their religious beliefs, was somehow allowing the businesses to force their  religious beliefs on their employees.

The 10th Circuit cited a 2010 U.S. Supreme Court ruling that for-profit corporations have rights to political expression.

The judges said, “we see no reason the Supreme Court would recognize constitutional protection for a corporation’s political expression but not its religious expression.”

Judge Harris Hartz wrote, “no one suggests that organizations, in contrast to their members, have souls. But it does not follow that people must sacrifice their souls to engage in group activities through an organization.”

Emily Hardman, spokeswoman for the Washington-based Becket Fund for Religious Liberty, which represents Hobby Lobby, called the ruling a “resounding victory for religious freedom.”

But Americans United for Separation of Church and State said the judges were wrong.

“This isn’t religious freedom; it’s the worst kind of religious oppression,” executive director Barry Lynn said in a statement.

On Friday – one day after the court ruled that their regulation was probably a violation of religious liberties,  HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius  announced a  finalized version of the contraception mandate in Obamacare that provides an “accommodation” for non-profit organizations that have a religious objection to the mandate…

The Washington Examiner reported:

HHS said that the final rule includes an “accommodation” for non-profit religious institutions that oppose the use of contraception. “Under the accommodation these organizations will not have to contract, arrange, pay for or refer contraceptive coverage to which they object on religious grounds, but such coverage is separately provided to women enrolled in their health plans at no cost,” HHS said.

How convenient.

Somebody remind me what that whole “Republican War on Women” thing was about, last year, ’cause if I remember right, it had something to do with Republicans objecting to the grotesque, unconstitutional  overreach of the federal government that just got  unanimously slapped down by the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

The Conversation: HHS Accommodation Is No Accommodation At All:

the final rule only includes an accommodation for non-profit  institutions that oppose the use of contraception. “Under the accommodation these organizations will not have to contract, arrange, pay for or refer contraceptive coverage to which they object on religious grounds, but such coverage is separately provided to women enrolled in their health plans at no cost,” HHS said.

A more careful reading on my part would have seen that the final regulation issued yesterday provides no accommodations at all for individual Christians or private for-profit employers who morally object to the mandate.

CNS reported:

Catholic and other Christian individuals in the United States will now be forced by the Obama administration to buy insurance coverage that pays for sterilizations, contraceptives and abortion-inducing drugs–whether they want that coverage or not and even though it forces them to act against their faith.

What these final adjustments to the regulation do is provide what the administration calls “accommodations” to religious non-profit organizations only–or what the regulation calls “eligible organizations.”

The Regime’s War on God continues apace – but the 10th Circuit ruling, Thursday indicates this is one battle they will almost certainly lose.

 

(Unless, of course Obama’s NSA has dirt on any of the OK  judges…)
