Video: Bill O’Reilly Interviews Obama on ObamaCrash, Benghazi, IRS – Finds Not A ‘Smidgen Of Corruption’ Anywhere

No real answers – just a lot of dodges.

obama-lying-2

Would this face lie to you?

The first tough questions come early: “Should Kathleen Sebelius be fired?” Short answer – “no.” Long answer – too  ridiculous to bother transcribing – especially  “we hold everybody accountable up and down the line.” Might as well skip ahead to, “was it the biggest mistake of your presidency to tell the nation over and over ‘if you like your insurance you can keep your insurance.” Obama again tries to blame the confusion on the grandfathering clause, which he erroneously claimed meant that you were supposed to be able to keep your plans. The “grandfather” clause only allowed people to maintain plans in existence before the law was signed in March 2010.  O’Reilly should have called him out on that. Obama knew everyone would not be able to keep their plans. He went on to claim that “we” further grandfathered folks – I suppose meaning the unilateral executive directives he made to the insurance companies, which of course most are not able to do.

Then O’Reilly totally dropped the ball, saying, “it’s in the past, but isn’t that the biggest mistake?” Hey. Nobody cares how Obama quantifies his mistakes. I assume he’s just like the Honey Badger – “doesn’t give a sh*t.” How about calling the Naked Emperor out on his lies and embarrassing him on national television? Oh well – too much to ask, I guess.

O’Reilly then tried to pin him down on Benghazi – knowing that  General Ham had informed Panetta immediately that Benghazi was a terror attack, who had then informed Obama at their pre-scheduled 5:00 pm meeting.

obama-lying-3

Obama of course, answered that he characterized it as “an act of terror” the day after the attack and bloviated weakly about the fog of war etc, noting that “if you look at the videotape of this whole thing unfolding – this is not some systematic, well organized process.” To which I say – we’d be happy to look at the surveillance video – if the Regime would declassify it! He went on to say that it was a mix of folks who were “just troublemakers”, folks who have an ideological agenda, you have some who are affiliated with a terrorist organizations, you have some who are not, and the main thing that we have to take away from that is that our diplomats are serving in some very dangerous places.”  To which O’Reilly dryly responded, “I think everybody understands that…”

Here’s what The US Senate Intelligence Committee (which has seen the surveillance video) reported about this eclectic mix of trouble-making folks:

At approximately 9:40p.m. Benghazi time, on September 11, 2012, dozens of attackers easily gained access to the U.S. Temporary Mission Facility (hereinafter “the TMF,” “the Mission facility,” or “the Mission compound”) by scaling and then opening the front vehicle gate. Over the course of the entire attack on the TMF, at least 60 different attackers entered the U.S. compound and can be seen on the surveillance video recovered from the Mission facility.  The attackers moved unimpeded throughout the compound, entering and exiting buildings at will. After entering the Mission facility, the attackers used diesel fuel to set fire to the barracks/guard house of the Libyan 17tlt February Brigade militia, which served as a security force provided by the host nation for the Mission compound, and then proceeded towards the main buildings of the compound.

***

Attack on the CIA Annex from Approximately 11 :56 p.m. until 1 :00 a.m. The U.S. personnel evacuating the Mission facility were followed by some of the attackers to the CIA Annex nearby.27 Although officially under cover, the Annex was known by some in Benghazi as an American facility. At approximately 11 :56 p.m. Benghazi time, sporadic arms fire and rocket-propelled grenades (RPGs) were fired at the Annex.28 Over the next hour, the Annex took sporadic small arms fire and RPG rounds, the security team returned fire, and the attackers dispersed. It is likely U.S. personnel injured or possibly killed some of the attackers during the exchange of fire. “[T]hey probably took casualties. I’m quite sure they took casualties,” according to the Chief ofBase. Attack on the CIA Annex at Approximately 5: 15 a.m. At approximately 5:00 a.m. ]3enghazi time, the security team from Tripoli arrived at the Annex just moments before the third attack that night. At approximately 5: 15 a.m. Benghazi time, mortar rounds began to hit the Annex. Two security officers, Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty, were killed when they took direct mortar fire as they engaged the enemy from the roof of the Annex.  The mortar fire also seriously injured one other security officer and one DS special agent, necessitating the evacuation of the Annex.  That attack lasted only 11 minutes, then dissipated. The mortar fire was particularly accurate, demonstrating a lethal capability and sophistication that changed the dynamic on the ground that night. According to testimony by the Chief of Base, it was only after this third wave of attacks, when the mortars hit, that he decided it was necessary to evacuate the personnel from the Annex.

I can totally see why anyone privy to that information would think, “spontaneous demonstration!”

Then Obama had the nerve to say, “we revealed to the American people exactly what we understood at the time”, leaving an opening the size of the Grand Canyon for Bill to say, “No you didn’t, you said it was a spontaneous demonstration over a youtube video when you immediately knew that it wasn’t.” Obama also suggested that “multiple hearings” on Benghazi have found no wrongdoing on anyone’s part.

Obama’s best defense was the fact that the truth eventually came out, meaning the Regime is pretty pathetic at cover-ups, or something. I think it just means that their first instinct is to lie during a crisis, (knowing that the MSM has their back.) O’Reilly missed a huge opportunity to ask the Commander in Chief what he was doing during those 7 hours that the attack was unfolding.

O’Reilly then turned to the IRS scandal, asking why former IRS Chief Doug Shulman visited the White House 157 times. Obama, of course answered that those were routine meetings concerning ObamaCare. He responded to O’Reilly’s skepticism  by claiming again (!)”there have been multiple hearings on this”, pretending everything has been resolved when it hasn’t..   Issa has promised more hearings, this year. When asked if he believes there was no corruption involved, Obama says, “absolutely……not even a smidgen of corruption.”

The Obama thugocracy aka Chicago on the Potomac, is as pure as the wind-driven snow.

  1. What a total waste of time. B’ore got his ass kicked. He allowed him to take several cheap shots at him and his network and just let them slide. He allowed him to filibuster and bloviate his answers and he lied and B’ore never went back at him. What they should’ve done was withdraw Petey King’s Fox News Contributor status, and issue it to Trey Gowdy and let him ask the Liar in Chief the questions. .

A startling reminder of why my New Years Resolution was to swear off B’ore. My blood pressure has diminished by 20 points since the new year.

  2. Thanks for taking the time to tell us what went on in the interview. I won’t watch it. I am already watching my home team Broncos get whipped. that’s enough for one Sunday evening.

  4. I’ve added a little bit more to my post. Upon listening to it again, I caught Obama bringing up “the videotape” (which of course the Regime classified) which he claims shows a “mix of folks” taking part in the attack (which supposedly led to the confusion.) I’ve added excerpts from the Senate Intelligence Committee report (based in part on the surveillance tape) which shows no indication at all of anything but an organized attack.

The fact that he’s still lying about this, even now…

  5. By the way, I posted those pictures of Obama to showcase his “tell” which I picked up on back in 2008. When his eyes narrow, and brows go up – he’s bullshitting you.

(He makes that face a lot.)

  6. Excellent analysis Deb, slicing and dicing the record.

To be fair, this is a impossible format to attempt to get at anything that resembles the truth. The biggest issue is getting two ego’s this big into one room. For ego “uno numero” who has built a reputation criticizing others who do the same gig, and who never holds back about “how he would’ve done it”. He came off really bad, not holding shithead accountable for “any one issue”. He was too busy trying to get to another issue, when he was being bold faced lied to and accused of distorting the chosen ones record.

It was exactly what I expected it would be, neither one of them ever fail to disappoint. They are both soooooo full of themselves. Two alpha males? {what B’ore stated to Megan Kelly on thurs or fri regarding the interview } My ASS!

  7. Thanks Geo – sorry your comments keep going into the spam bucket. I bail them out as soon as I find them.

The problem for me with Bill is – out of respect for the office, he refrained from openly calling the president out on his lies. He challenged him – but allowed Obama’s deceitful obfuscations to stand. This isn’t good enough for the low info voter who wants to believe Obama. They have to be hit over the head. When Obama said, for instance, “we revealed to the American people exactly what we understood at the time”, O’Reilly had an opening to say, actually you didn’t – you told the American people things that you knew at the time were not true.”

But that interview is about as good as we’re ever going to get with this president. It wasn’t the usual tonguebath, at least.

The most galling part for me watching Obama triumphantly spike the football (at least twice in the interview) after (thinking he’s) successfully run out the clock. “There have been multiple hearings…” As if he’s been totally cleared of all wrong doing (after having his goons threaten whistleblowers, his underlings lie, stonewall, invoke the fifth, (invoke executive privilege himself on Fast and Furious), etc. )

Like I said – Issa has more hearings planned on the IRS, Benghazi and Fast and Furious – and of course, ObamaCare. There’s an IRS hearing this week.

    It ain’t over.

  8. I mostly agree with you. The “respect for the office” thingy, I don’t. This creep has placed a indelible stain on the office and the Country, just like the last dimoCrap did when he held the same position. At some point, especially if you go around pounding your chest about how you would hold a interviewee accountable and how peers don’t know how to conduct interviews. . . . I have real heartburn with.

The best example I can recite is. . . the Bret Baier interview with obozo. IMHO he was respectful but insisted on a honest answer and Bret pushed him to the point you could see he {obozo} was annoyed with him. Of course the dopey libs went nutzo over it, they claimed it was disrespectful. Which should tell you everything you need to know about it. For a guy who built his laurels on hard hitting, no holes barred, and getting the straight answers. . . .he got his ass kicked. He didn’t push him, allowed him to bloviate, allowed him to take cheap shots without a response but most of all he bold faced lied throughout the entire interview.

  9. True enough. I had forgotten about that Brett Baier interview.
I think, O’Reilly’s purpose here, was to ask challenging questions, and then allow Obama’s BS answers to “speak for themselves.”
This would actually work with a knowledgeable audience who can see through the BS. But O’Reilly had a much wider audience for his big Superbowl interview than he was used to, and missed the opportunity to point out to the lofos where Obama was lying.

As far as they’re concerned, you’re right – Obama kicked his ass.

  10. It’s a bad format to try and get any kind of straight answers. He tried to cover too much and allowed bullshit answers trying to get to what he planned. He wasn’t playing to the Fox News audience, he had a International – World Stage. Nothing happened in that interview to change any “low information” world audiences view of shithead. In fact most probably, they sat there scratching their heads saying . . . what the hell was that all about?

I heard on Rush say that when he appeared on Fox this morning he bent over backwards giving obozo praise {saying he really isn’t a bad guy with ill intent } and taking a shot at the “Far Right Wingers” {that would be us’s}. This is something he and Goldberg have been doing regularly since before the holiday break. Both seem to forget what put both of them at the top of the Best Sellers List for years now.

Not to beat a dead horse. . . . .just off the top of my head, cause I can’t bring myself to listen to it again.

When it came to the General Ham question: After Panetta informed you.
    1. What was your instructions to the Secretary of Defense “AND” the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff? {both were there}
    2. Did you order a response? A rescue? Weren’t you concerned about “your” missing Ambassador? Why was Stevens meeting with the Turkish diplomat? What about the hundred or more personnel at the CIA station? Their safety?
    3. Did you speak with the Secretary of State? When? The conversation?
    4. How did Susan Rice get involved and when? Why her and not Hillary for the Sunday shows? Why the lies for weeks after the truth was known?
    5. What did you do for the rest of that evening? Did you receive any other briefings that night? Did you contact anyone from the National Security Team? What follow up before leaving for Vegas the next day did you do?

I’m sure between us we could’ve asked a dozen more questions and insisted on a answer rather than lies. “Fog of War” my ass, the only “fog” was blown up B’ore’s rear end.

  11. One more thing – why did O’Reilly allow Obama to say with complete confidence that there was not a smidgen of corruption in the IRS scandal – WHEN THERE IS STILL AN ACTIVE FBI INVESTIGATION GOING ON?
