Bobby Jindal on a Tear

Governor Bobby Jindal caused great confusion and consternation and mayhaps a bit of pearl clutching amongst Washington wags, Monday morning, when he boisterously strode to the microphone after the National Governors’ Association meeting, and proceeded to let the president have it.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal launched into a repeated assault on President Barack Obama’s leadership in the shadow of the West Wing, in defiance of established bipartisan protocol. Speaking after a meeting of the NGA at the White House, Jindal, the vice chair of the Republican Governors Association, said Obama is “waving a white flag” by focusing on executive actions with three years left in his term. “The Obama economy is now the minimum wage economy,” Jindal added.

The trembling Democrat who followed Jindal was Dan Malloy, the governor of Connecticut. When he was through repudiating Jindal, Jindal returned to the mike and blasted the president some more..

“The National Governors Association is supposed to bring Democrats and Republicans together to discuss policy and share ideas for mutual success”, whimpered Zeke Miller of Time’s Swampland. “But after a meeting at the White House Monday, all pretense at bipartisan comity was shattered as a press conference with lawmakers descended into a partisan fracas.”

How dare he!!!

The Governor of Louisiana was DEFIANT of established bipartisan protocol. Goodness gracious… No Democrat has ever ever ever been defiant of established bipartisan protocols like this  before. What a ruckus Bobby Jindal caused in Washington DC today with his shocking, rough defiance of established protocols.

Monday evening, Jindal went on Fox News’ Special Report with Brett Baier  and doubled down on the “white flag of surrender” talk that had so upset Malloy.

Can we see a little more “defiance of established protocols” from republicans please? The president hasn’t been shy about showing his defiance of the Constitution, the rule of law, or the TRUTH for the past five years, for crying out loud. it’s the very least they can do.

Gowdy: Susan Rice “Fabulously Wrong” and “Stunningly Arrogant” (Video)

Congressman Trey Gowdy went “On the Record” with Greta Van Sustern, Monday to talk about Ambassador Susan Rice’s interview with David Gregory, Sunday, in which she stated that she had gone on the five Sunday talk Shows on 9/16/2012 with “the best information” she had at the time.

“Is that true?” Greta queried Gowdy.

“Uh no,” Gowdy drawled in response. “There was NO evidence to support that false narrative about a video – not a scintilla of evidence. ALL of the evidence pointed to what she said it wasn’t – a pre-planned coordinated attack. So she was fabulously wrong when she said it the first time, and stunningly arrogant in her refusal to express any regret for lying to our fellow citizens.”

As to what comes next in the investigation, Gowdy said, “I would love the chance to ask follow-up questions of Susan Rice because David Gregory, apparently did not avail himself of that opportunity.” He added, “Greta, I just listened to the clip – -I get tougher questions in the Bojangles drive-thru than he asked her.”

The South Carolina firebrand  then ran through a few questions he’d like to see her answer. “Who did she talk to before she went on the Sunday talk shows? Did she call Hillary Clinton? Did she call Gregory Hicks in Libya? Did she do any due diligence at all?”

He agreed with Greta’s assessment that much more would be known about what happened if so much of the information hadn’t been classified.

“You’re right, a lot of the documents are classified to protect political careers – not to protect national interests.” Gowdy went on to say that “maybe it’s time to to put our efforts together with a select committee with subpoena power.” He explained, “because as you know, I can’t subpoena anyone – I can’t subpoena the Walmart greeter. I can’t subpoena anyone. The Committee Chairmen and the Speaker do. And I’m about ready to ask Rice some questions under oath – not David Gregory type questions about “what’s your favorite color…but real, serious questions about why you had so little intellectual curiosity about the talking points you were asked to parrot.”

Following Gowdy, Van Sustern had a panel with Susan Ferrechio of the Washington Examiner, Ron Fournier of National Journal, and John McCormack of the Weekly Standard to talk about the latest twists in the scandal.

In answer to why the Republican leadership isn’t pushing a tougher  investigation into Benghazi, Ferrechio suggested that the GOP wants to keep a narrow focus on jobs and ObamaCare in this election year, and not stray from a narrative they think will win them the Senate.

Obama Regime Slashes Military Spending to Pre WWII Levels (Video)

At a time when the the Regime is calling for “an end to austerity” on Domestic spending, Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel is calling for shrinking the U.S. Army to its smallest size in decades, along with other military cuts.

Fox News reported:

Hagel announced his Pentagon budget priorities Monday afternoon. The Army had already been preparing to shrink to 490,000 active-duty members from a wartime peak of 570,000. Hagel is proposing to cut it further to between 440,000 and 450,000.

That would make it the smallest since just before the U.S. entered World War II.

Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, warned that the cuts would hurt military readiness. And he said the country is only in this position because the Obama administration and Congress will not seriously take on cuts to entitlements.

“It’s all being sacrificed … on the altar of entitlements. This president cannot take on mandatory spending, so all we’ve done in the Congress — and this president — is basically cut discretionary spending,” he told Fox News.

Via the Washington Post, here’s Chuck Hagel showing why he was Obama’s top choice for Defense Secretary.

Obama ran (and won) on being a strong foreign policy president, but the truth  is, um – he’s a Democrat. This is what happens when we vote Democrats into office. And Obama, far left  “Democrat” that he is – has been an unmitigated disaster on foreign policy and our standing in the world has collapsed as a result. Remember, how the whole world was supposed to love us  now that the supposedly hated Bush was gone? The dirty little secret is – Bush may have been hated (by our enemies) but he was respected. It is better to have a leader who is hated by respected that one who is loved, but disrespected. Obama, of course, is neither loved or respected.

WHD’s Keith Koffler recently asked, Does Obama Have Any Foreign Policy Successes?

President Obama hired a Secretary of State who had no relevant experience for the job because he wanted to avoid criticism from her – or even a 2012 challenge – and because he read in a book that Lincoln surrounded himself with rivals.

Then he hired someone who was qualified but who thinks global warming is a bigger threat than terrorists with airplanes or Mullahs with nuclear weapons.

Via CNS News: Governors to Obama: ‘Don’t Cut the National Guard’:

Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad, a Republican, says he and other governors of both parties have a message for President Obama when they meet with him on Monday: “Don’t cut the National Guard.”

“I’m co-chair of the governor’s advisory council to the Pentagon and Homeland Security, and the message from all the governors of both parties is, don’t cut the National Guard,” Branstad told MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Monday.

“We know there’s going to be reductions in the Army — there’s been a big buildup in the Army since 9-11, and now the Army is recommending major reductions in the National Guard instead of the regular Army, and we think that’s a big mistake. That’s the message that I’m going to bring to the president if I get an opportunity to ask a question.”

Obama’s dismissive response, according to a WH reporter who just asked Jay Carney about it: “You asked for cuts, now you’re getting them.”

Unbelievable…I’m looking for corroboration on that.

Yep, here it is:

Via The State:

Gov. Nikki Haley talked about proposed National Guard cuts, legalizing marijuana in South Carolina and the future of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie after a governors’ meeting with President Barack Obama on Monday.

On Sunday, Haley sat next to First Lady Michelle Obama at a White House dinner. The next day, she was among four Republican state CEOs speaking at news conference. Here are some highlights of what she said:

• On proposed National Guard cuts: “He basically said, ‘Many people in the room has asked for cuts. Now you’re getting them.’ … You’re now going to punish all these people who want deficit reduction by cutting the National Guard? It’s just not a logical way to do things.”

Haley said the President’s tone changed with all governors when talking about proposed Guard cuts. “It automatically went into an almost aggressive nature by him implying that, ‘Many of you wanted cuts that’s what you said you wanted. Don’t start coming in and now complaining that these cuts are affecting you because you said you wanted it and now you’re going to get it and you have to live with it. And if somebody questions it, I’m going to have to say something about it.’ ”
