Rep. Michael McCaul (R-Texas), Chairman of the Committee on Homeland Security appeared on FOX News’ The Kelly File with Megyn Kelly to discuss the latest findings in the investigation into missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370.
With the dismissal by the investigative team of the possibility of mechanical malfunction, the focus of the investigation is now on the pilots, Kelly began and she asked McCaul for his thoughts.
He said that the plane’s disappearance was due to “an intentional, deliberate act” but had no ideas as to the motive – lamenting that the Malaysian government has been less than helpful on that front.
Kelly has been entertaining the theory for the past week that the plane was flown to Pakistan, but McCaul said he believes that based on all the intelligence he’s seen the plane was headed on a Southern route and it’s somewhere in the Indian Ocean.
He also said that it is still a rescue operation – not a recovery.
