Val-Jar In Hollywood Pushing ObamaCare Propaganda For TV Storylines

Valerie Jarrett aka “The Other Side of Obama’s brain” was in Hollywood, this week  pushing ObamaCare to TV Writers:

We got a hint of what was coming, last October:

The California Endowment is interested in expanding insurance coverage to low-income earners, including immigrants.  Obama’s far left radical Labor Secretary Thomas Perez consulted for them between 2001 and 2009.

Marketplace reported:

Why try to get your public health message into fictional story lines? People learn from TV,” says Marty Kaplan, the director of the Norman Lear Center. “Even if they know it is fiction, even if they know if writers can make stuff up,  especially in the realm of medicine and public health, if a doctor says something to a patient, people tend to think that someone has checked that, that it’s true,” Kaplan says.
Kaplan’s group works to make sure that at least some of what comes out of doctors’ mouths is real, or at least real-ish. Hollywood Health & Society has worked with nearly 100 TV shows — everything from “Mad Men” to “Desperate Housewives” to “Dr. Vegas” and “The Bold and the Beautiful.” The Center has access to the megaphone that is Hollywood.

Enter Val-Jar,  to check up on the Obamacare propaganda efforts.

She played the part of the “nagging” but o-so-caring mother  in an appearance on Top That! on PopSugar.com:

“That’s the cool thing,” the effette and slightly androgynous host said to the presidential advisor. “You’ve been reaching out to people that are, you know, outside of the norm of what the president might work with. Who else are you working with? Like celebrities, personalities, things like that?”

Via the Weekly Standard:

“You name it,” said Jarrett. “That’s part of why I’m in L.A. I’m meeting with writers of various TV shows and movies to try to get it into the scripts.” When Jarrett says “it into the scripts,” she’s referring to getting references to Obamacare, the president’s signature legislation, into the scripts of TV shows and movies.

She continued: “We’re talking to celebrities. We’re talking to athletes, because obviously they get injured a lot and many of them are the same age as the market we’re going after. And what they can say is, ‘Look, you never know when life is going to throw you a curve ball. You’re walking down the street, you’re a little clumsy, you trip, you fall — where do you end up? Emergency room. A couple grand just to walk in the door.”

“Right,” said the host.

“Who can afford that?” asked Jarrett.

“Nobody,” said a host.”

Jarrett would explain that mothers are really good at nagging — which is why mothers have been promoting the health care bill. “What do moms do?” asked Jarrett. “We try to take care of our children. Even when they’re grown. And what we want to do here is like nag. We’re really good at nagging. I’m a mom so I know. I’m a really good nag. And I can come at the same issue like 20 different ways until my daughter goes, ‘Ok, I’m cool, I’ll just do it.'”

OMG, she’s just like any American mom (who was born in Iran, and whose Communist father in law worked with Obama’s Communist mentor, Frank Marshal Davis on a communist newspaper in Chicago back in the day, who made her bones as a ruthless slumlord in the worst part of Chitown,  befriended fellow traveler, Barack Hussein Obama and became “the other side of his brain.”

I can so totally relate to this woman.

What’s cool is, the Regime has such a stellar record  on Obama’s signature achievement. Remember, “if you like your plan, you can keep your plan – period!” and “If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor, period!” And “Every family will save $2,500 a year, full stop!” and Val Jar, just this Monday on a Los Angeles CBS affiliate said, “what we’ve seen over the last four years as our health care plan was passed, is we’ve seen less increase in premiums than we’ve seen in 50 years.”

That’s the kind of refreshing ObamaCare  honesty and integrity we can expect to see in worked into TV scripts — I am so pumped! /sarc

They’ll have plenty of takers in left-wing Hollywood. I imagine it’s already started. I just don’t watch TV and haven’t for over 20 years because of this kind of garbage so I have no way of knowing.

But I know this –  it’s not a matter of who will be the next Leni Riefenstahl. It’s a matter of who will be the next Leni Riefenstahlssss.

  1. Most people are too busy living off of Obama’s generous subsidies to object. And too many of the dwindling number of taxpayers seem to care enough to rebel. At some point they’re going to run out of other people’s money – but who knows when that will happen?
